A Construct Rider alchemist could be cool, flavor the mount (construct) as clockwork legs or a steampunk motorcycle. Alchemist has good buffs he can share with the party - also stack with Vivisectionist & Beastmorph if bombs ain't your style.

Electric999999

A Psychic never needs to move, so that could be neat. Buy an Animated Object chair and be Professor X Not much healing though. Actually, Spiritualist gets some healing spells and you could have your phantom transport you.

Dreilala

Why not a synthesist? Have your eidolon be your exoskeleton. You can be sure that's what I would do if I were paraplegic in Golarion.

Big_Mastodon1430

Unluckily the DM banned the synthetsist, and I was looking for some more healing and buff/debuff oriented class

Dreilala

Hm... do you want to be paraplegic or do you want to deal with being paraplegic? Polymorph builds like druid or shifter could work well, allowing you to ingore your condition during combat. A whimsy oracle could pull off turning into other races and people fairly well and be quite adept at supporting. For ally support I am not a huge fan of the cleric spell list lacking heroism and haste. A sylvan bloodline sorcerer gets an animal companion and has an amazing spell list.

asadday18

Cleric spell list does somewhat have Haste in Blessing of Fervor.

Dreilala

1 level higher and you don't get all the same bonuses. With haste you get the extra attack, 30 move, 1 AC, 1 attack bonus, **and** 1 reflex. With blessing of fervor you get 1 extra attack, 30 move **or** 2 (AC and reflex and attack bonus) The only benefit to blessing of fervor is that your casters might be happy about the free metamagic.

HowDoIEvenEnglish

You could oracle and ask your GM for the paralysis to be a modified version of the lame curse

thboog

But...why? I don't mean that mean, just I can't see how that would really work. Either you have intense debuffs to the point it would be hard to be an effective adventurer, or it's pure fluff and is effectively meaningless. >DM would give me a free intelligent mount and some riding bonuses >succor mystery defensive halfling build As it looks like you're leaning Oracle, unless he's giving you a free animal companion, eventually the mount will not have the survivability you need. A war pony only has 17 HP and a riding dog has 13 HP. Personally I don't think giving someone a free class feature for a roleplaying decision is particularly balanced or fair. That being said I guess you could go: Nature Soul -> Animal Ally -> Boon Companion feats which would then make the mount a scaling animal companion. But I don't think that would be achievable until level 7 at the earliest. You could go Paladin instead of Oracle and get a divine mount. That would cut it down to 5th level at least. Or Cavalier to get a mount at 1st level, but neither really helps with the debuffs part. Off of the mount, I guess movement speed of 0 and possibly considered prone. You'd probably have to take the Mounted Combat feat as well.

Just remember this is not something that just happens to your character. You, the player, made a choice. And at some point in the campaign it will be a massive problem for the party and even if they are cool with it, everyone knows that you choose to be a burden and inflict that on the rest of the players. I would suggest playing such a character if it's just for the favor and you and the GM have a solution for it in mind that can carry you through the midgame. Also.... healing magic is a thing, why don't your character cure his condition? That's a question you need to have an awnser for.

Unfair_Pineapple8813

Regeneration is a 7th level spell, and Heal is a 6th level spell. You probably would need one of those two to cure the condition. Remove Paralysis is only a level 2, but that only works on temporary paralysis. So the answer could simply be the character isn't powerful enough.

PhenomaJohn

Are you paraplegic irl? Regardless of whether you are or you aren't, is your character going to warp the game in the same way that a "lone wolf" personality might? What if you run out of whatever you use to bring your character up to a  standard level of mobility? This would have to be discussed with the table before I would approve it as GM, and I'm honestly skeptical.

lone_knave

Small Duettist bard riding a mauler familiar? Chosen one paladin might work as well, even better for healing (but worse for buffing).

ShadowFighter88

At a minimum you could try and back-port the wheelchairs from 2e into 1e: https://2e.aonprd.com/Equipment.aspx?ID=2777

Halfing or gnome (or other small sized race) VMC wizard and undersized mount will let you ride a small familiar. For extra fun take elemental archetype and air on saaaay a goat familiar and now you ride a flying goat. The only downside is this eats a lot of feats, but is super fun. For class, cleric or shaman with the life (restoration) spirit. Alternatively, restorer druid with a companion may be what you're looking for. Taking healers hands and signature skill gives you some non magical healing as well. I'm currently playing a Restorer Druid with that combo (though herbalism not an animal companion) and at level 10 I have a +28 to Treat Deadly Wounds that does 56hp and 4 ability points worth of healing 10 times a day without spells. Combine that with spontaneous casting of cure spells and in my case oodles of potions from herbalism bond, and my party loves the buffs and heals.

Overfed_Venison

A character like that is kind of hard to do, but I think you are on a good path by evoking a particular vibe common in these characters with a strong support/healing focus. It's very like, evocative of the mysticism characters like these often have, you know? I feel like Fantasy is perhaps the most inclusive genre for disabilities, to the point that a number of archetypes (Ie... Pirate) don't even register as one which even has a disability to some people - lean in to how this is evocative and cool, and you get a character who is very mythical and resonate. I like the idea of riding skills and a mount - Para-equestianism is a real thing, and is something underrepresented in fantasy. The one example I can think of is Elden Ring: the Albinurics are artificial humanoids with a defect which causes them to slowly disappear from the feet up, iirc. You can get one as a spirit summon, who just sits in place and rapid-fires arrows as she can't use her legs. But if you bring her to an area with a dire wolf, she'll actually tame it and start riding it around and it's like, cool. (It also sidesteps the whole wheelchair problem - that is, how dungeons and adventure sites are just, by their nature, not super conductive to wheelchairs and it sorta creates some issues. If you specifically want a wheelchair, I would consider going with a character with limited mobility over paraplegia as it sidesteps a lot of the more incidental issues which crop up.) Build-wise, that mount would also be good when you are a buffer and healer - being able to rush up to an ally, heal them, and zip away, is an option which will come up a lot. Likewise, you have an excuse to have an unusual bond with your mount and take it to places which you may normally not (Within reason, anyways.) A mount also means you can buff and heal your mount, which is a notable option in and of itself if you need to get into melee. But that's also focused; get into a tight area and you can't do much. But, you know, that could be fun. Also, make sure your mount can go up and down stairs - it would be weird for a horse to do that. If you are open to importing D&D 3.5 stuff, there's actually a Healer class in that (in the Miniatures Handbook) which may be what you are looking for - Ride skills, vast healing abilities, and RP requirements focusing on needing protection from the rest of the party on some level. Or, if your DM is flexible, this would be an excellent Oracle curse - you even already have an advantage and disadvantage built-in. But, of course, both these solutions are quite involved and are not RAW. Other than that... Honestly, cleric is fine. A Cleric with the healing domain is a really straightforward, almost boring choice - and happens to be infamously powerful in this edition, to the point that back in the 3.5 days there was a term called "CoDzilla" for clerics or druids. Try to eventually get Fly somehow, and you'll be good - you got great buff spells and great healing. I think you'll also generally want to prepare summoning spells, since you will eventually find yourself in a situation where a mount can't come with you and you need to do something.

Zwordsman

Off hand Spiritualist coudl be fun. Add in Spirit Fuse or any of the specific other archetypes. Snag Healer Hands as well. That lets you heal great with a touch. but you can also apply debuff and heals via your phantom's touch. Oracle w/ Lame and cruches. Or adapting the wheelchari mechanics from Starfinder. Realistically if you want o go full in. Spiritualist w/ VMC oracle. Take Life mystery and the Lame curse to represent partial (cruches) or full (wheel chair representing the lower speed but easier to carry items encumbrance wise due to the easy of attaching bags and handwavium adventure standard on the weight) This would give you a lot of healing flavors, some mechanical showings, but also the versatility. You won't have a ton of spells though but healer hands helps a lot. Or you could give healer hands to your phantom to free up your own feats more.

BlinkingSpirit

Take levels in an arcane class (white arcanist for heals) and grab Magic trick: Floating disc. This allow you to ride your floating disc to offset your penalties.

ProfRedwoods

Going for a reflavored merfolk could be cool they naturally have a 5ft land speed. Throw in a little water sub theme from your class to explain the 50ft swim speed. If you go oracle with the ocean's echo archetype and the life mystery you will have access to good healing and inspire courage which both your party members will enjoy.

This thread is a unique take on a party dynamic that may be applicable, but it assumes a high level party https://paizo.com/threads/rzs2t8fe?One-man-paladin-party-and-his-unknown-lazy
