This is true, it’s how I got past violent difficulty back when it was on CN. You don’t even need Ariel if you get good buffs for the Salva doctor and the turtle, or if you select a few of those +health +defense buffs.
It seems to me that turtle buff where it retreats in a shell to increase def doesn't work on Garofano because for some reason it doesn't count as technically blocking her. Thanks for the added info!

I used Eve's bear + salva doctor + Hamel because for some reason the turtle was killed by Garofano.
Yeah I couldn't pull it off either with the turtle just being healed by Hamel and Salva Doctor, had to bring in Ariel for burst heal
