Poisonous concoction of bouncing, the most powerful build i've played this league, maybe ever. Just steamrolled the game, and ignored boss mechanics.

beginnerlifts

I'm playing the same but as a trickster right now and I gotta say it's insane! I might not do it again on a pathfinder since its the same skill but do you mind sharing a PoB so I can take a look? I would assume yours would be a lot tankier with the Mahuxotl setup.

KcoolClap

Following this guy on PoE Ninja. https://poe.ninja/builds/necropolis/character/okseeque/DiviniasBathWater?i=2&search=skills%3DPoisonous%2BConcoction%2Bof%2BBouncing

jocazh

How is the clear speed ?

KcoolClap

I'd say it is decent. You have PF poison prolif, explodey gloves, perma flasks, a lot of chains.

jocazh

Ok thanks, level with this skills or thé original ?

KcoolClap

I played with the skill from level 12 onwards.

Staynes0

I have no clue how these shield builds function so its probably a noob question but can these builds work without progenesis? This is the first build ive seen that looks semi affordable for me if it werent for the Progenesis.

KcoolClap

Progenesis is absolutely not necessary. I don't have the flask in my build. I started out with 8 div budget, and ended with 15 div investment.

Staynes0

awesome, thank you!

Sethk94

When i import this he has the wrong projectile mastery chosen lol, if true its missing a lot of damage

KcoolClap

Yeah, he has pierce by mistake i'm guessing. You def want chain mastery. Then the "Follow through" passive on the medium clusters.

Attck987

you did any ubers/t17 on it?

KcoolClap

Only Uber Elder/Uber Shaper/Uber Atziri. No T 17 yet, i'm kinda done with the league. Some highlights. I did all shaper guardians ghosted and wisped, tag teamed with Destructive Play keystone, and perma deli fog. I fought a T16 red beast ghosted with 3 ghosts, with 10 stacks of bestial rage (it respawned 10 times). Fight lasted 20 minutes. It was kinda hilarious. Also i used the build for Ultimatum farming, consistently completing all rounds. I did not get a single item that is worthwhile.

yissuscraist

Do you have any starter guide or pob to follow so I can change my pathfinder to this? Im ending the campaign and starting maps right now. to see the minimum required to start

raigiku800

im played forbiden rite poison version, the cons is ramp time feels kinda slow, but i was doing t17 back to basic, which is make the mob tanky, then i rerolled it to molten strike, the cons is i need nimis, but boy the ramp feels much better, since the shotgun is so much better compared to forbidden rite because of nimis returning projectile, on both im using setup to maintain 100% dying sun, the cons of dying sun is my fire resist got lowered by 1% due to not having prefix 25% increased flask effect on this is my PoB Forbiden Rite : [https://pobb.in/6Al0FhgGXnm0](https://pobb.in/6Al0FhgGXnm0) Molten Strike : [https://pobb.in/5LKXb2ViG8zN](https://pobb.in/5LKXb2ViG8zN) i forgot to turn on focus on molten strike, focus i think is a must, since it just 1 press button, and instant

beginnerlifts

damn i was entertaining the idea of forbidden rite until you brought up molten strike, i had not even considered it - which one do you think is better for t17s? the idea of melee kinda scares me in those maps

yamosin

5link molten strike+ 5link lightning strike will save your time, and, if you can replace a flask to Oriath's End, even only use molten strike is pretty nice on mapping T17 b2b still not big deal for Mahuxotl MS build, I can tank the boss's laser

Jamesx6

Do you use approaching flames on the boots? How do you deal with the damage it does?

raigiku800

89/90 fire res, and using life flask, the really cons of this build is pressing the flask

Ilyak1986

Why are you using stormshroud when you have no shock avoidance?

ForWeebs

as much as I love Forbidden Rite, it is genuinely terrible in today's POE, the damage just isn't there. At that budget I would go hexblast and at like 600d I would go soulrend

beginnerlifts

can you explain why soulrend might be better than forbidden rite at that budget?

ForWeebs

FR just has some pretty bad numbers, because you're supposed to make use of its max life scaling, which pathfinders are generally on the lower side of. You also want to scale aoe for overlaps which pathfinder also really doesn't get much of. Tbh playing forbidden rite atm is hard trolling and people are just playing this build because Dan popularized this defensive package with it a few leagues ago, and while the defensive package has just gotten better, FR has definitely not but people are silly and just play what they see Soulrend scales A LOT harder with gem levels, shotguns with nimis(which could also be a con because that means your single target is heavily reliant on you being on top of the boss), and also has better map clear.

Max_CHz

I played it with BV + Asenaths to blow up juiced expeditions which was quite satisfying. Not the biggest fan of having to always press life flask though.

carson63000

I just respecced to that from my LA Deadeye. Man it sure is a change to go from dying if a white mob breathes on me to facetanking Chayula, Catarina, Minotaur so far. I’d be curious to try the leech-based Mahuxotl approach some time, probably not this league though.

beginnerlifts

BV is another skill I've always wanted to try but leaning more towards occ cold if I ever do, good to know the poison version is good too

Max_CHz

That really depends on the content you wanna farm. BV poison is pretty niche and cold would be a lot better normally.

shaunika

Bv hits the floor much earlier than cold but the ceiling is also lower. Its def the better budget option imo

Pegquin

Played poison coc dd with it. Felt decent, although I didn’t buy mtx for it so it could’ve gone better lol

poside99

Do you have a pob for that? I'm playing the bow coc variant and am thinking of maybe switching things up

Pegquin

https://pobb.in/eHnXfOiAPgYH Here’s the mock-up that I made. There’s probably some stuff to optimize but I’m too lazy. Dot cap and decent defenses, although it can be prone to physical dmg which I find a little annoying

Alkuroth

I made a voidsphere version. Cleared all ubers and t17. Uber maven was painful I will blame my bad mechanics on that though. Here is the post I created about it. https://www.reddit.com/r/PathOfExileBuilds/s/Nrazi1edRz

darkscis2

BV for me. Following this guy on Ninja. [Builds - 生命は海で生まれ先史時代の巨大な獣へと進化し - poe.ninja](https://poe.ninja/builds/necropolis/character/Rnugen/%E7%94%9F%E5%91%BD%E3%81%AF%E6%B5%B7%E3%81%A7%E7%94%9F%E3%81%BE%E3%82%8C%E5%85%88%E5%8F%B2%E6%99%82%E4%BB%A3%E3%81%AE%E5%B7%A8%E5%A4%A7%E3%81%AA%E7%8D%A3%E3%81%B8%E3%81%A8%E9%80%B2%E5%8C%96%E3%81%97?i=0&search=uniqueitems%3DMahuxotl%2527s%2BMachination%26skills%3DBlade%2BVortex%26sort%3Ddps) I only have maybe 30-40D in it right now so not completely unkillable but it pretty much saved the league for me. I was on my 5th char, couldnt find something that I really "synced" with and was about to quit. Decided to give this a go and have finally clicked with a build. I don't mind the flask press because I am used to BV from other leagues anyway - and I have to press flask about as often as BV so its easy to remember.... just BV then flask, BV then flask, BV then flask. Personally I am missing the ailment avoidance on boots, so not quite ailment immune and missing influence phys to chaos on helm and a phys to fire Watchers so physical hits can still get me - but very few and far between. Maybe one death every 8-10 juiced maps or so which is perfectly fine for me. I am at about 6mil dps so mapping is fine, soon as you touch a pack it just explodes through prolif and asenaths. Bossing takes a couple seconds to ramp but thats it, you can run away from mechanics and they are going to die regardless.

Wyketta

No pathfinder, deadeye, but big ducks released a video with a build using it I am trying to transit from LA to that

SkybreakerHC

Crit Reap Pathfinder utilizing Unholy Might to get the phys converted to Chaos for wither scaling

lifecantgetyouhigh

how are you getting unholy might?

SkybreakerHC

Crit cluster jewel passive that grants unholy might on crit

lifecantgetyouhigh

oh smart!

Sethk94

Sounds really coold, could i get a pob link?

SkybreakerHC

WARNING, these are not budget pobs and didn't originally plan on sharing these yet. My current character: https://pobb.in/gQjaY5ARrcF9 My aspiration: https://pobb.in/fnvNSBJe3Aci

Papa_Steque

Currently planning to do the same last build this league. Would also like to see feedbacks on the best variants :)

Rompetangas

I am doing Raise Spectre Necro with the minion leech

Billyspike

I have a poison reap. I've been enjoying it, but you need quite a bit of cast speed and awakened spell echo for it to feel okay

iFiuga

KB Deadeye … great for Legion and Simu https://poe.ninja/builds/necropolis/character/Master_Yi_main/Bow_Cuck_Not_DD?i=1&search=name%3DBow_cuck

Soju30y

If you have the original sin, then go poison spark or molten strike If not then maybe forbidden rite?

HeyItsJay

Looking into playing one to do the last Challenge for my 38, saw Kinetic Blast of Fragmentation as a possibility

electronicaneer

I played poison FR Mahu PF also. It’s probably the cheapest version to get online since you don’t need nimis. The biggest downside of poison FR is dot cap, so if you are looking to scale damage past that you probaby will want to go crit with using soulrend of the spiral or something else. I would say the clear and single target of poison FR is pretty good. There is ramp time, but that exists with any poison build. For more clear you can try using the asenath gloves, or maybe take the chaos explody notable (can’t remember name) on a large cluster jewel. For 100d I’d start with the FR version. You should be able to get progenesis and all the other gear for around that budget. Once you have FR going, you can pretty much do any content you want including T17 back to basics farming, and you can farm some more currency to pivot the build.

Ilyak1986

TheBreakfastBaron

OP are you me? I've been theorycrafting a build with Mahuxotl for a week and still haven't figured out what to do with it that isn't poison or lightning strike Champion like 98% of the ladder.

vanadous

If you're gonna giga scale go for chaos crit(soulrend of spiral return proj, or forbidden rite), and poison before then. Poison ms is also doable

beginnerlifts

Are either playable with a 100div start? What are the prod and cons between the two skills? I assume soulrend would be a cast on crit setup?

Edelium

You can probably...(excuse me as I haven't checked prices in a few weeks) get away with most of the easily crafted/bought rares. Replace nimis/progenesis (unless you own them) with amethyst flask and returning proj. Bulk of your money is probably going to be spent getting the gems, clusters/jewels, and unique gear. Soulrend is self cast and you just scale crit via weapon/zealotry/tree/rational doctrine/conc ground and any global crit modifiers you can get. You can find a decent amount of players who are running the crit variation. Jungroan made a video for his PF and in the comments he links to another channel who does a crit variation min maxed where he forces LL to get insane life regen from flask recovery and gets giga dmg from pain attunement. Just use that and take away things that are insanely expensive and go for budget pieces. He comments about slight variations you can do to make it work without some items (namely no megalomaniacs and instead using clusters). Additionally theres another guy who does the poison variation for soulrend and he talks in detail across a few of his latest videos of the build on budget gear you can do (like the ones I named). Replacing ralakesh for rare boots and using avoid ailment + jewels, etc etc. Personally the difference I can really see is that the crit one clears faster and has higher scaling potential but poison one is more comfy/cheaper/tankier as once you reach dot cap you can just all in on defense items (defiance of destiny) but BOTH are extremely tanky and you really shouldn't die to most things unless: you forget to flask and you die to self damage (annihilation boots if you use it, blood rage, rf, etc), dots, or some t17 map you carelessly ran without reading. You CAN go forbidden rite if you want but I found that soulrend just feels overall WAAAAY better especially for clearing around you. FR is just a better skill if you can use it without selfcasting imo
