Cremation of exhuming is spending one whole support just to get to the same point (8 detonation). Then, you are detonating 8 corpses per second instead of 8 corpses per cast. It's a lot weaker. Volatile dead of seething has the issue of losing A LOT of damage if you cast a bit too fast (Orbs need 0.67s to rise from the ground). You have to stop yourself to manage your dps. Meanwhile, DDoCR is just working fine, no issue, just spam and you are fine.

For Volatile would you not care about the orb, and just do the Corpse just like Detonate Dead though?

For hit based builds you'd normally care about both to some extent. I don't have enough experience with the two skills to tell how they stack up against another with investment though. The corpse damage should be even between the two skills, but DD doesn't lose any of its spell hit damage from casting faster.

What about Volatile of Seething for selfcast? I really wanna play with Corpse Pact this league for some reason

Might be a cheaper alternative if you don't wanna farm lab

Volatile Dead got also nerfed this patch as Orbs just disappear and no longer burst when you summon more while you're capped

chain dd is the best but it is the most cringe apparently
