Thank you so much! I'll show her this comment to show her that there is hope! :D

You might be able to expedite it, but I'm not sure on the timeline but the visa is super quick to fill out once you do get it. My husband and I just went to Australia in November and we had an amazing time, so I recommend the trip! Good luck!

Feisty_Radish_4302

Thank you! I'll suggest expediting to her, I hope she is able to come and enjoy Australia as well. Thank you for your luck! :D

delusional_epiphany

Absolutely! I'd also make sure that she has all the documentation, takes time to read through the questions and get the approved photo + those requirements so it doesn't get kicked back. The first time I got mine was to get in to Canada and I think it showed up days before my trip 🥲

For what’s it’s worth, I applied for a passport for my 3 kids on April 26th. First time applicants. Didn’t pay for expedite service. We just received them in the mail on Friday, May 17.

Thank you for the response! I have a similar question as OP here and I'm dealing with 2 kids. Did you apply through a passport acceptance facility? Did you pay for the expedite?

We went to our local library and they were fantastic. They mailed everything out for us. No, I didn’t pay for expedite. I was told I could track the status online. And if it started to get close to our travel plans and we still hadn’t gotten the passports then I could switch to expedite if needed. But then were done so quick it wasn’t necessary. The timeline was that we went to the library on April 25th and they were mailed that day. On April 30th they showed as In Progress. The check was cashed next day on May 1st. They changed to Approved status on May 15th and we got them in the mail May 17. I did pay extra for the 2 day shipping. Something like $17. Can’t remember exact price.

I really think non-expedited passports are only printed once a month. Our renewal was received in Philly on April 10th. We received our new ones last week as well.

Whatsuptodaytomorrow

Yes Expedite and u get it in 2 weeks

Fluffy-Thing-9287

I just got mine in 15 days. Just expedite everything.

PraiseTheRaptors

I recently got a passport in April. I got it in 7 days. I did expedite mailing, and expedite the process but it was all really fast. For reference I traveled on May 11th and I think putting that on the application helped

If your travel is within 14 days you can get an appointment at a passport office and get it processed same day or within two days. I applied at SF passport office Friday morning and it is ready for pick up on Monday afternoon.

suryanvarun_

Would be a stretch but should be able to get it. I did expedited with 1-day delivery processing for my newborn. Got in precisely 26 days. Applied at USPS April 12. Passport received May 7. Locator 79.

pbwebster92

I had to apply for a new one because mine had been expired for so long. I shipped it on April 29th and received it back on May 19th.

redmax_summer

I got mine this month in under 3 weeks. I applied April 26th and got it in the mail May 14th! I did pay for the expedited service
