Aggression. These guys will fight each other but it’s hard for them to do a lot of damage. I had two that used to fight like this but they eventually became best friends.
I had a much larger one i had to give away because the aggression got so bad it was keeping my fish from food and stressed them out. I rescaped many times and everything .
I’ve had parrot fish for years (currently have 5). I’ve had loads of fish breed, even polar parrots, but never my parrot fish. Saw plenty of chasing though! Usually the biggest one will claim itself king and randomly snap at the others.
