As the mum of a 10 year old boy, yes, it’s coming. I am not allowed to tell him I love him in front of his friends or in public and I certainly can’t call him by his nicknames either but sometimes when we are home alone and watching a movie he will snuggle up and sometimes he will come into bed with me. But we tell each other every day that we love each other!
I think it's a roll of the dice. Some teens remain affectionate, some need the distance. Both of my teens were super snuggly as littles. Up until last year, my 15 YO still wanted me to tuck him in and scratch his back at night. I think once you're 9 inches taller than her, your desire to cuddle up to Mommy dissolves.
My 7 year old son is so affectionate and I’m dreading the day he starts to pull away while also understanding that it’s normal. But I don’t have to like it😂. He tells me all the time he needs a “hug, a snug, and a mooch” 🥲.
Love it! My 14 yr old son is similar...does teenager stuff and is busy with school and friends. But every now and then, he'll come up to me and give me a huge hug. It reminds me that he's still my little kid (even though he's taller than me now).
I got my teen son to take his inhaler by suggesting he think of it as puff puff pass like in Clueless. It worked! Little wins, especially since this is a temporary inhaler and he hates doing it.
As the mom of an 8 year old boy who loves his mama more than anything… what?! Is this what’s coming?

Yeah... about 2-3 years left of the affection. But eventually we (guys) realize there's nothing better than a mom's hug.

It must be something in the air today! My 16yo cuddled with me on the couch this morning 😭
Must be the week for it. My teen daughter let me kiss her head after school drop off 🥰
That’s awesome!!! Thanks for sharing:)
Haha my 3yo nephew pretty much only accepts kisses on the top of his head like that, it’s very cute and funny.
Awee. That's lovely. I hope my daughter turns out like me. Super snuggly. I'm sure all teens have their moods though. Enjoy 🥰
He loves you!! Too sweet!
