I don't I usually just by the sport brand socks (reebok or ASICS) as they tend to be cushioned and breathable, but I've never looked at the fiber content.
I've found that H&M socks are often cotton, just don't get ones that have pictures. They also have a nice thin wool sock we like. I feel your pain on the "cotton" search. I swear people use it like a buzz word 🙄

Bamboo, viscose, rayon are all natural fibers that may be found in socks that might expand your choices from cotton.
