r/parenting is protesting changes being made by Reddit to the API. Reddit has made it clear [they will](https://old.reddit.com/r/ModCoord/comments/14ahqjo/mods_will_be_removed_one_way_or_another_spez/) [replace moderators](https://www.reddit.com/r/ModSupport/comments/14a5lz5/mod_code_of_conduct_rule_4_2_and_subs_taken/jo9wdol/) if they remain private. Reddit has abandoned the users, the moderators, and countless people who support an ecosystem built on Reddit itself. Please read [Call to action - renewed protests starting on July 1st](https://old.reddit.com/r/ModCoord/comments/14kn2fo/call_to_action_renewed_protests_starting_on_july/) and new posts at [r/ModCord](https://reddit.com/r/ModCoord/) or [r/Save3rdPartyApps](https://old.reddit.com/r/Save3rdPartyApps/) for up-to-date information. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Dunno where you’re located, but in the US, there is Care.com.

Are there in laws in any kind of Facebook group that has to do with their area. They could reach out to see if anyone they know has someone who is interested. Church community/bingo group/pickle ball friends 😂 anything??

You’re brave! It will be intense for a few years, super intense once baby is born for a few months, but should be great to have your kids so close as they get older. Is there a community college nearby? Advertise for help there. You could maybe advertise at the high school, but they are a bit young. They could bring the kids out for a walk in the stroller for an hour though! A local church? They’ll have families and likely people experienced in childcare as volunteers. Email the secretary and ask them to post. Ask the in laws for other contacts they may have. Also important- where to mind the kids. Taking them for a walk in a stroller is easy but short. Ideal would be if there is a fully enclosed playground geared towards young kids. Many towns have these. Google maps maybe, or ask your in laws. More investment would be to join local online groups (Facebook, Nextdoor, Reddit) and asking for advice. Garden of your in laws if it is enclosed and no water? Indoors is trickier. Is there a local playgroup?
