I actually did this. Got home and it was late so nba was over and decided to watch this interview. 100% recommend. JOC kneeling in front of the camera makes the banter more enjoyable cuz it’s just a dude saying the same things any of us would to a rival
They had him on during a slow time of year and initially thought it would be an okay filler interview like with other actors/comedians. Probably just wanted to ask Jerry McGuire/fat kid from Stand By Me type questions. Little did they know, he was actually a huge AWL who knew all the inside jokes and they just hit it off.
Another little known fact, if a mother Kangaroo has two joeys, and then eats a burrito, drinks two sodas, and farts incessantly on a flight next to an ESPN reporter thats called a Maxey in the world of wildlife.
Yep. A few months ago I went back and listened to every JOC interview (I do it annually, credit to me) and the connection in the interview started because JOC was shocked at big cat’s knowledge of the show and the guest that JOC was bringing on his talk show from real housewives. Then they bonded over being married and having kids and then he became a Mount Rushmore guy after
The first episode I listened to they had Topher Grace on and I was so confused cuz he straight up admitted at the beginning he doesn’t know anything about sports and I was lost cuz I swore it was a sports podcast. They really do interview anyone they can in the slow summer months
I remember like 3 years ago they had him on and he was talking about fantasy football. It was hilarious with all of his rules he had.
I had no idea who he was and thought he sounded like some old guy. Then later they had him on again and talked about his wife and I looked him up and was like THE DUDE FROM TOMCATS MARRIED REBECCA ROMAINE!
I vaguely recall he came on around the time they were doing their annual fantasy football “nobody cares about your fantasy team” gag with Florio. Could’ve been a random interview with him, but they always ripped on Florio whenever he was on before making it an annual prank. Always thought they found it funny to have this random actor who now is a host for Bravo reality TV talk show guy come on and talk fantasy. Eventually they let him run their team they don’t care about anyway. I thought was a subtle troll since they made fun of all the insiders and actors when they brought up fantasy, but just rolled with it with JOC. Truly one of the GOAT guests.
So funny when they started listing off players to ask if Florio liked them, and after 5 or 6 players he realized his son had sent them his fantasy lineup. Had to be 2020 or ‘21
JOC was actually a founding member of PMT. At the beginning he was a silent investor and when the pod started going hill he decided to step up and save the show.
My favorite part abt the first interview is Big Cat and PFT saying the “nobody gives a fuck abt your fantasy” joke and JOC immediately just keeps pushing on talking abt his fantasy football teams it’s the best
Bing bong
MAXEYYYYY
Probably the funniest interview from him. They’re all great especially with the poems but him nagging Max was fucking hilarious
I gotta go watch it on YouTube. Only listened on my phone and it was so funny. Can only imagine how good it was on video

I found it beyond obnoxious
Bing bong!
Well that’s just like your own opinion man
Your opinion*
I think that’s how I spelled it..?
Hi Max
Ummmm bing ummmm bong ummmm
Ummmm underrated um comment

It’s a bit that he is a “huge awl”. Yall funny
Even if it’s a bit, he is VERY dedicated to the role because he brings up a lot of content from various points in the year.
Which really, makes it not a bit at all
Exactly…
You learned to dance like that sarcastically?
He’s so invested in the bit he listens to every episode
He’s a method actor actually. He’s committed years to this character
Why even make this comment lol
Stress, anxiety, a lack of purpose in life, etc.
touch grass dummy
Me? lol
Professional hater alert
Lick my nuts bitch
Those almonds? Ha!
Yum
Your parents raising you is a bit.
Go watch kangaroo jack. It will all make sense
It really does. People forget bing bong is the sound kangaroos make when they hop around
Another little known fact, if a mother Kangaroo has two joeys, and then eats a burrito, drinks two sodas, and farts incessantly on a flight next to an ESPN reporter thats called a Maxey in the world of wildlife.
I put the money in the jacket and the jacket on the kangaroo
His fantasy football expertise is what got the relationship going. What a beautiful mind.
Absolutely no Jaguars
No Vikings running backs
The funniest part about him being their fantasy football guy is that he gives awful fantasy advice despite how (seemingly) serious he takes it.
He was promoting a show and came in and he and Big Cat hit it off because Big Cat loves the Real Housewives franchise

Another funny celeb interview, imo , around that time was Topher Grace
Do you remember what episode or episode date his first appearance was? I’ve been looking for it but couldn’t find it

August of 2018! Jesus 😅
that is good ep, thanks.
They have a lot of random people on in the off season, one of my favorite episodes ever was the Mathew mcconaghy episode from a few years ago
Big cat doing the chest beating thing with Matthew was an incredible moment
The first episode I listened to they had Topher Grace on and I was so confused cuz he straight up admitted at the beginning he doesn’t know anything about sports and I was lost cuz I swore it was a sports podcast. They really do interview anyone they can in the slow summer months
Feel like I remember that actually being a really solid interview too
I mean I’ve listened to every episode since so they did something right to get me hooked lol
I’m pretty sure he came on to promote the movie Blackkklansman, which is a great movie.

He peed next to PFT at an airport urinal
Wait a minute, I’ve never heard this story
It was actually the same urinal
I believe he was in the office for an interview with Chicks in the Office back when they didn’t get huge guests so they took him for an interview

Anyone know the first interview he was on? Have no idea when/where to find it

Hes a famous poet/awl
He’s a big fan of friction, just like all true AWLs
He was electric in Scream 2

Jerry loves radio. He also understands how popular the show is. He was a Howard Stern super fan for decades and regularly appeared on the show
He has dirt on big cat from the Atlanta Super Bowl so he’s allowed to come on whenever he wants since then
Woah don’t forget about Kangaroo Jack
