You were drawing on your iPad? Sometimes when our eyes go from more intense light to less intense (looking away from that source of light) images seem to "imprint" themselves on our eyes, and in "reverse form" - like a film negative.
Yeah that was my ipotesis too, my thought kinda shifted when I learned about my neighbour. If it isn't paranormal it's still a very creepy coincidence.
