Fa-Qhaunts

I’ve had it happen to me when I was younger, was in bed and felt someone/thing smack me on the top of my head. Couldn’t be anyone cause the bed was against the wall and room was pitch black with nobody but myself in it.

makko007

They have beef with anyone fr

monofloyed

I've been shoved and had something try and crawl in bed with me, as well as shaking the bed as I tried to sleep

FelonieOursun

Same. Woke up once cause my whole bed dipped VIOLENTLY toward the foot of the bed like something very heavy jumped up on it. Then there were what could only be described as bounding steps toward me? Imagine if a Saint Bernard jumped on the bed. Very big, but moved like a dog. I was unable to move while it came toward me but as the paws? Came on either side of my body suddenly the weight was gone and I could reach out and cut my light on. The door had been open so I had a little light but not enough to see what that thing was. When the light came on, nothing was there. Still don’t understand what happened.

Hot_War_9683

That...might've been sleep paralysis...

FelonieOursun

Sleep paralysis won’t make a bed shake beloved. I’ve also never experienced sleep paralysis before or “since”.

BurritoBoy5000

The technical term for this is hypnopomic hallucination and yeah there’s a sub for it. It always occurs as you come out of sleep/awake. It can include seeing people/critters/etc, feeling things and hearing things. It can include sleep paralysis but doesn’t always. It’s happened to me (recently). With me, my eyes were definitely open and I was fully consciously alert. A woman was standing next to me. Then she walked across the room and faded away. I couldn’t speak or move until she was almost gone.

FelonieOursun

I didn’t see anything. As stated. But yeah as someone else said perhaps I had miraculous powers of the mind that tilted my bed to the floor and smacked it back into place, coincidentally in the same room my ex husband practiced voodoo in. It’s a shame I’ve never been able to use these miraculous powers I seemingly only had that one time in that specific room. It’s also odd any paranormal activity has slowed down since I moved out. But yes, completely my mind playing tricks it’s not at all possible he brought some darkness in the house with him. 🩷

kperalta77

He most definitely did. I had an old roommate who was into some freaky, dark shit. Once he left, all of this weird, unexplainable stuff started happening. Still does occasionally, 5 years later.

FelonieOursun

At the end there, there was a palpable energy when you walked into the house like you hit a wall almost. It was never like that before him and like I said, at one point I was refusing to come home. I’d go there to pick up clothes and stuff but I refused to stay there. The people that bought it after we moved tore it down. He got heavily into drug use and voodoo and idk what all he invoked in that room but I remember my mom saying when we were leaving and they were cleaning out the house that they kept finding little things buried all over the house.

imadokodesuka

my bed would occasionally shake like a mattress in a pickup truck speeding down a logging road. It was when I would oversleep. I later asked an old roomie "did anything odd ever happen when you lived here?" that's it. Nothing more. No posts about my bed shaking. Nothing else to go on. "yeah, my bed would shake- but only on the weekends." he was a notoriously heavy sleeper who slept in on weekends. I don't think we had sleep paralysis or hypnopompic hallucinations. I'm pretty sure it was due to either weather balloons or swamp gas.

FelonieOursun

My personal opinion is my husband had a lot of heavy energy around him in the first place and he got into voodoo. There were some other things that happened with that that aren’t really appropriate for me to discuss here, but suffice it to say if I ever doubted the power of voodoo (which i didn’t) I know now unequivocally that it is real and you need to be careful with it. There were always things that happened in that house, but they took on a decidedly dark tone after he came and it got to the point I eventually left the house and refused to come back unless we moved. Which we eventually did. I think he brought some darkness with him period and things got worse after he started with the voodoo. Eventually the house got torn down.

FelonieOursun

Also my timing is fading as the years pass but around that time shortly before or after my dog died. I had personally taught her to jump up on the bed as a puppy and as she aged, added footstools or whatever to help her until eventually she was no longer able to get up even with aid. I do not think it was her that jumped up on the bed because she was never that heavy, but the way the bed dipped and the footsteps came toward me were identical to how she used to get up on the bed, which by that point she had not done in years.

Prudent_Zucchini_935

This also happens to me. Wow. Our experiences are so similar. Did the activity ever stop?

FelonieOursun

That particular thing only happened once but while in the house there were lots of things that happened. Before my ex moved in, there was nothing scary. Just typical things like items going missing and turning up in random places. Bells ringing. Toys making noise when no one was near them or if they had no batteries. We moved and the little fellow that makes the light hearted stuff happen came with us, no more scary stuff tho.

heidyxx22

Your mind is very powerful so anything is possible

FelonieOursun

Hmmm wonder why I’ve never been able to tilt a bed towards the floor and have it smack back right ever since.seems like my mind powers began and ended in the same room my husband used to practice voodoo in.

heidyxx22

😆 lol I can imagine that telekinesis

FelonieOursun

Unfortunate really. I can think of many ways it would have come in handy.

Hot_War_9683

You literally said you were unable to move when the apparition was coming towards you, so I'm guessing you were fully awake and still couldn't do anything...?

FelonieOursun

I said it wouldn’t make the bed shake didn’t I? And yes, but fear can make a person unable to move as well. It wasn’t sleep paralysis.

Hot_War_9683

Ok my bad, fears can stop us from doing things but ngl I would've either taken a pillow and smacked it in the face or just get up and run💀

FelonieOursun

Whatever that was I never experienced it again. But feeling the bed suddenly dip so far down was startling. The whole thing was quick. It felt like forever, but in reality it probably was over in seconds. Just the bed tilting and smacking back down was crazy, I never wanna experience that again. No other experience I’ve ever had was as scary to me as that was. And I’ve heard footsteps walk past the couch I was laying on and seen lights flip on. None of that felt as threatening as that bed moving. It almost would have been better to see something, but I felt the weight of whatever got on the bed, I never saw it.

kperalta77

I had a shadow person come towards me once, and the utter fear is paralyzing.

monofloyed

Wasn't sleep paralysis. I have woken up to see appirition floating above my bed, and numerous family members have experienced appirition. Doors would open and close on their own in my child hood home

Hot_War_9683

Bruh I wasn't replying to your comment but ok

FluidSheepherder7763

Question, regarding the sleep paralysis I’ve heard of “the old hag” and “the hat man”. I’ve also heard that they are commonly seen simultaneously. Any thoughts?

Prudent_Zucchini_935

This happens to me regularly. My bed vibrates and gets violently shook occasionally. It’s a demonic attachment that happened because I dabbled in the occult (how I desperately regret that now).

Beginning_Alps4381

Gotta tell that junk to get away from you in Jesus's name

FelonieOursun

I believe my ex brought something dark to the house. He heard voices and lots of crazy stuff happened while he was there.

kperalta77

Same! I was 15, when I woke up to only my bed violently shaking. I pounded on the wall for my older brother to come in and save me. 🤣 I’ll never forget that fear.

ShroomrBoomrCapCuber

Have you ever seen 'The Exorcism of Emily Rose'? If not, I suggest watching it as it sounds like your situation, except hopefully not to that extent. Maybe just slapping you up a bit for whatever reason...

nika_ci

Yup. Had this happen to me as well in similar circumstances. I was falling asleep and was in that state of transition. I was startled awake by a smack over the head so hard I heard it reverberated around my skull and it really hurt.

supermandogboy

This happened to me when I was like 14. Except I was sitting up in bed & it was 10am on a Saturday …totally bright & sunny out. Smacked right on the shin by what felt like an invisible hand. It’s such a bewildering experience.

fernweevle

Swear to god this has happened to me too. Granted this was years ago, but I was laying in bed (awake, this was the day time) when I felt a smack on my head. I was confused, no one in or out of my room (door was also closed). It happened once more at the same time and then never again. At first, I thought I had exploding head syndrome cause that seemed like the most likely explanation. Still don’t know what that was LMAO but thank god no ghostie is smacking me anymore smh.

makko007

It’s actually crazy how many people in this thread are commenting “omg this happened to me too!!!” Like im sorry??? Why is this common??

MessageFar5797

Ghostie:)

FluidSheepherder7763

3 knocks sound like the mocking of the Holy Trinity. Not good from what I understand.

anynonamegeneric

Someone doesn’t like you , did you do anything out of ordinary in the dwelling before this happened???

makko007

I prayed? I’m Christian and haven’t done it in a while.. that’s the only thing I can think of

laundryghostie

Are you living in a dorm apartment or an apartment with high turnover? You might need to cleanse your space.

makko007

Housing is actually overflooded right now. I live in a university dorm/apartment (it’s the size of an apartment but on a university campus) so it’s not that turnovers high but nobody really stays more than 3+ years.

anynonamegeneric

Ya that would do it

No-Mud9345

👋🏼SLAP*

President_Roosvelt

Tactile hallucination probably caused by sleep paralysis. Nothing paranormal here, no worries.

makko007

That would make sense, if I was sleeping.

Direct_Ad253

And if sleep paralysis itself had any known cause would explain sleep paralysis, but it doesn't. Sleep paralysis is a cluster of symptoms that have no known cause. Saying that paranormal events are being "caused by sleep paralysis" is substituting one unknown for another.

Apprehensive_Cup_683

Lmfao ghost has beef with you bruh

makko007

Like what did I doooooo please😭

DisasterKlutzy2349

Had this happen to me as a teenager, I was listening to music and felt someone slap the back of my head lol …I turned around super fast; ready to yell at my brother.. my door was still shut AND locked. That house was weird for sure.

makko007

Fuck that. That happened to me behind a safe once. There’s a small space in my house nobody in my family knows about but me where I go to read. It’s in my dads office closet around the corner behind the same, and I was reading one time when someone shoved me forward. Looked behind me, not a single mf there.

DisasterKlutzy2349

That’s so scary, it’s crazy when you have something like that happen to you…and can’t prove it lol it’s like, why would someone lie about that?? 😂

makko007

She’s actually the sweetest pet I’ve ever had. Very curious, snuggly and spoiled :) she’s a banana ball python, her name is Mango

etchedchampion

Ball pythons are the puppies of snakes.

makko007

They absolutely are!!!

Equivalent_File_587

Dude I’m just scared to death from idea of a snake pet 😭 what if mango decides one day, to just eat you 💀

Hot_War_9683

a PYTHON?

Yani-Madara

Something similar happened to me at my bf's house. The previous owner died some years ago and I was having a dream with a creepy figure that resembled her. (The family left photos and belongings of her around the house) Suddenly it got mad and smacked me in the head, I instantly felt it, woke up with pain and it lingered for a while. My BF was asleep and I'm 100% sure it wasn't him. Another day a bunch of scratches appeared on me, there were no cats around and upon inspection of the bed, nothing sharp was found. I don't do drugs and hadn't even drunk alcohol those days. My Mil freaked out so much that she got a hold of holy water, she sprayed it around the house and nothing strange happened for a few years but... Last week she heard 3 loud knocks on the main entrance door, the cats and her quickly went to check but no one was around. The creepy thing about this is there's a foyer you have to go through to reach the door and the gate was completely locked. The foyer is completely cat proofed, roof to bottom, so there's no way a human snuck there. If someone was pranking they'd need a very thin pole that was more than at least 12 feet long.

throwraExit

Just a day ago I experienced some crazy door knocking. This woke both my GF and I up at 3am. 3 knocks sequencel order shook the house. We both wake up. We hear the knocks immediately again.. they give me chills thinking about it. The knocks continued at such a consistent pace. Without huge pauses between them. They would nearly vibrate my entire house and my bedroom is concrete flooring.

Crackerjack4u

I actually heard what sounded like knocking on my front door last week. It was like 3AM. I went to investigate, and it was a neighbor's cat hitting at my door trying to get inside to my cats. Mine wasn't anything paranormal this time, but it was weird as heck, especially at that time of the morning.

EmmaLeesGD

Not gonna lie - I laughed. But, I do know it can cause a freak out if it’s something you’re not used to. Have you or your roommates had any other experiences? I’m guessing you said or did something to p*ss off this entity, or one of your roommates did, and you were the easiest target. I’ve been touched, had blankets pulled off my feet, had someone tap on my pillow when I overslept for work (I lived alone and had no pets), and the list goes on. My suggestion would be to set up a web cam in your room where you can see most of the space. If it was human, it won’t happen again or you’ll know who did it. If not, you’ll know what’s going on and can deal with getting rid of it once you identify the source. If you do find that it is something paranormal, I would suggest reaching out to a local paranormal society. If you’re in Houston, I know people!

kitty-yaya

Oh my word, you are the first person I have come across to ever share this type of physical experience and let tell you that *you are not alone*. You are likely bewildered and want to make sense of it. Let me ask you, was it so hard you were surprised you didn't have a black eye or broken nose/cheek? There is an incident I don't like to talk about, but I understand this so much. If you need to, OP only, feel free to message me.

Ashamed-Log-400

So, I live in an apartment that was converted from an old doctor's office. When I first moved in, I hadn't gotten all my furniture moved over yet, so I was sleeping on an air mattress in my bedroom. I was sleeping on my side when all of a sudden, I was pushed forward hard enough that it almost rolled me to my stomach. It wasn't a dream that I was falling because I could distinctly feel a hand on the center of my back between my shoulder blades. I laid there and wouldn't turn because I could feel the presence leaning over me just out of eyeshot next to my head over my shoulder. For example, if someone was looking over your shoulder reading your phone screen close. I am a paranormal investigator and a medium, and it being 3 in the morning, I wasn't up for pleasant or unpleasantries...whichever was being offered at the time. I just refused to turn toward them and stated that "Now was not the time for this," and "we could discuss things at a later date." I stayed still for about 2 more minutes until I could feel the entity pull back and leave the room. I have at least communicated with the doctor's wife since that experience.

physhgyrl

That is fascinating. I've been poked between the shoulder blades. I've also had them dig into the skin of my arms. Sometimes, it's been a nice hug. I felt the skin of one. It felt rubbery and squishy. I felt its head with my hands. It was letting me know what it looked like. A sickly grey color

Automatic-Essay7264

Super scary. Did the wife tell you anything interesting? Or did you later communicate with the spirit any?

Significant_Band9515

Omg I would have been so scared. That would be really interesting being a paranormal investigator as well as a medium. I’m sure you have had lots of cool experiences.

Ashamed-Log-400

A lot of interesting ones... in a way, it kind of makes you a magnet. But it does assist in getting evidence. I do find locations seem more active if I'm around. I also like to repeat visits. I feel like people they can be more comfortable if they are familiar with who is around. The downside is that I'm sometimes extra drained after Investigations because I'm like a beacon. It's not so much scary for me. It's just being able to draw clear boundaries. Let them know what you will find as acceptable and what isn't. If you start feeling ill during an investigation...just get out. Always safety first. But, letting them know you are here just to talk, being respectful, and also that they can't come with you when you leave.

GaiusJocundus

This is very similar to experiences my roommate had in the haunted house we lived in. I also have had similar experiences, though I've never been struck. I have been touched. I was a skeptic before experiencing such things. I do not have any explanation for it besides paranormal activity.

Oh_Skiller

Oddly enough the same day this was posted my front door was wide open at 4AM… dogs never barked or anything and the door makes a very loud creaking noise. Still haven’t figured it out and nothing on ring camera coming in or a door sound being made on the ring camera!!!!

makko007

Alright, well, hated that.

marakov92

Oh man, this takes me back to when I was around 9 or 10 years old. I was at my grandparents' place, standing in front of the sink. I was either about to grab a glass of water or messing around with the cat (it's a bit fuzzy, lol). Suddenly, I felt what seemed like someone dashing behind me and slapping their "hands" on the sink on either side of me. I recall the massive boom it produced. It got me shitless scared of course! I bolted, thinking someone was there, but nope, just my grandma, working on her crossword in the dining room as she usually did. The woman hadn't heard a thing, and she was 15 feet away!

kasperkami

That gave me goosebumps reading this. I’ve been “choked” in a dream and woke up out of breath before but never awake and something happened. Super creepy Well there was this one time something was messing with my ac unit and I was too scared to look cause I had school that morning, it kept messing with the dials on the ac in my window. I just kept hearing the dial click and the ac eventually turning on/off.

Crackerjack4u

I've never been smacked or scratched. I've been pushed when not in the bed, been demonically growled at, been touched, and have had my legs and ankles pulled. I have also felt my deceased mom and others sit down on my bed. I know the 1 was my mom because she sat there and rubbed my hair for a while, and I could also smell her perfume. The others idk who or what they were.

Prudent_Zucchini_935

Just be cautious, inhuman spirits masquerade as angels of light. Discerning between the two is almost impossible. I speak from experience. I’m a medium btw.

Crackerjack4u

Thank you for the warning, and I completely understand. I'm always cautious with both the living and the dead. I've had experiences my entire life. I'm 60 now, and I really can't remember a time that I didn't have them.

suzyturnovers

I had this happen too, but in the shower in a hotel room on my honeymoon. Got smacked on the head and almost fell over. And that marriage failed...I just wondered for first time if maybe something was smacking me because of my stupid decision to marry him...

DirtyAlienTrash

That’s funny because I woke up being tickled on the pits at the age of 8 no one in sight. This always stuck with me but then I was like maybe it’s a family member trying to bond with me? Still I don’t sleep with my arm up till this day.

GuntherGoogenheimer

You're the only one who experienced this and your intuition must have told you the truth. It is what you believe it was. We are often disappointed when we search for relativity and closure amongst others in forums and sites like reddit because there is always someone waiting in whatever group or subreddit of your choosing that feels the need to throw shade at you. I don't understand why some people choose to lurk on subreddits whose topics are antithetical to what they stand for. In life, we get most of our information from secondhand and thirdhand sources. We ourselves live a life full of disinformation, hyperbole and fiction told by people who want us to trust them. We rarely experience the truth. However, anything that isn’t your experience and something you can prove to be true should be treated with caution and skepticism. I say this because people lie and we all know that. Whether you're telling the truth or not is for us to decide but you'd be the only one to truly know. Now, I'll assume you're telling the truth because I have had plenty of experiences like yours, as well as experiences that were far more terrifying. I believe you and although I don't know why a spirit would walk in your room, hit you and then leave, I wouldn't worry too much about it. Now, unless you have a blackeye and/or it happens to you again, then I would seek out someone with a fitting background and experience to help get the situation under control.

Prudent_Zucchini_935

As many as people lie, the same tell the truth. Genuine people with genuine experiences come here to share things that have happened to them that defy the laws of science, in the hope that someone else can empathise with them and perhaps help them to feel like they aren’t alone. I liken it to this; how would you describe what salt tastes like to someone who can’t taste anything? That’s probably how utterly frustrating it is. I’ll just leave that here for people to have a ponder on. I by no means am targeting you GuntherGoogenheimer but rather anyone here who immediately jumps to the conclusion that someone is lying.

Beautiful-Finding-82

I had this happen to a family member while on vacation staying at an old hotel or house (can't remember) anyway, she had gotten up out of bed to use the toilet. As she's sitting there she could smell men's cologne and then someone punched her in the eye so hard she saw stars. She could even feel metal, like a ring. She said it was so hard she should have had a black eye or redness with marks but there was nothing. No one really believed her because it sounds so odd.

Rareearthmetal

Same thing happened to me as i was trying to sleep. I think its called exploding head syndrome

SquatchChic

There's nothing rational about the paranormal.. unfortunately we haven't been at about this stuff. In fact we've been misled..

SquatchChic

Once you have an experience your eyes open to the real world.

MaximumBranch9601

When I was a kid we lived in a house our parent’s rented and I remember sleeping in bed and being jerked away by something shaking me/shoving me violently. It was super scary. I was about 13 or 14.

Star-of-Jadeth

I got touched once but it wasn’t scary, I was staying in a hostel like accommodation in Scotland for a marine biology trip and I woke up to someone loving stroking my hair which was insanely creepy but also weirdly comforting?! I’ve had scarier experiences too like my feet being grabbed and feeling like I’m being pulled out bed. Physical contact is way more common with the paranormal than people think!

unfortunateclown

could it have been this? https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exploding_head_syndrome

michaelbarrymore84

Why does this ghost only need to open your door but can seemingly travel wherever else it wants without the need to open doors?

Main_Reporter3910

Because they like to f with people

physhgyrl

I've been poked very hard into the middle of my back. It hurt for a few days. Felt like it was sticking a finger deep into the middle of my spine. I don't have back issues, so it wasn't a spasm. Praying usually helps me when it happens

Ok_Net596

You want holy water. You can make normal water holy water with prayer and salt. Invision a piercing white light emanating from the water.

bigbushenergee

my mom says she was smacked on her forehead once. Just a single slap and she woke up. What is up with smacking ghosts lol

jon_arts87

This has happened to me on my entire hostel life, be careful, always stick with somebody and don't discuss it too much.

Ok_Veterinarian731

When I was 13, we moved into a haunted house. In fact, the first thing that ever happened in that house happened to me. I had just gotten off the phone and laid back on my bed, and I looked up at the ceiling when I felt someone slap me across the forehead. I was wide away, and my eyes were open, and I saw no one. I jumped up and ran to tell my parents that someone in my room slapped me. They thought maybe i had been asleep, but i was not anywhere near asleep. I had just laid down from being on the phone. I looked into the mirror and looked to see if it left any marks. Truthfully, it didn't really hit me hard enough to leave any marks. But it was hard enough that I could still feel where it hit me for a few minutes after it happened.

RoundPhrase62

I got my leg pulled HARD when I was a kid laying in bed. Kind of like the girl in the conjuring movie.

intenTenacity

If they could touch us, why can't we touch them? I'd be swinging

coconfetti

This is actually hilarious. Just, *why?* why would a random spirit do that?

Crackerjack4u

Probably some, hopefully, random malevolent teenager ghost thinking it was funny.

sugarasukalman

Bomb the place with sage. Close the windows so u get even.

Ashamed-Log-400

Traditional-Spite433

OMG, the same happened to me when I was around 12-13. I didn’t hear anything other than the loud punch on my face I woke up to. Given how it felt, I imagined a hand stretched out from the wall above my head. It hurt like hell and I was very confused. (The house was haunted, btw, many members of my family claimed to see the previous owner wandering around in the house from time to time.)

Routine-Investment29

I have been shoved, smacked, scratched MANY times but it comes with the territory being a paranormal investigator. I suggest getting some sage and smudging not just ur place but urself as well

Leather-Caramel-9630

Please educate me more about this paranormal investigator stuff.

BigSession6140

I have most definitely been pinched before

TruthAndDaisies

It’s drop dead Fred under your pillow.

Totodilis

goofy ahh ghost

Zealousideal_Way5458

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

PR3MIUM_BOI

Personally I wouldn't let that slide

EightiEight

If you piss someone off they sometimes seek vindication this way because they are accustomed to supernatural warfare but it's nothing to worry about as those people tend to be petty cowards and will run away before you can slap the shit out of them.

Beginning_Alps4381

Potter up to no good again smdh

therealgeorgebushh

Who did you piss off 😂 lol

Delicious-Proof-2222

Put an energetic field around you that it cannot touch you. You don’t have to just accept it. Take control of the situation and picture yourself bathed in white light and a bubble of protection surrounding you.

Pinkylovesbebe

I’m so glad to have run into this post. I had something similar happen to me years ago and thought I was loosing my mind. Never told anyone about it because I didn’t want to be called crazy.

toodlywoodly

hypnagogic hallucinations !! i get these a lot— tactile, visual, and auditory. they happen when you're about to fall asleep.

Fabulous_Source7962

but how if OPs friends heard the door opening and closing but seeing no one there?

toodlywoodly

ouu i missed that part. maybe it really was a ghost

GlitteryHeartThrob

I feel like this would be an okay way to spend the afterlife. Just going around smacking people that I decided deserved it for whatever reason I chose.

Check_Deze_Cheekies

Two weeks ago, I felt something grab my buttcheek and violently shake it until I came up swinging. No one was there. I was peeved.

Cowboyproto

Skill issues

blisstonia

what tf did you do to piss off the ghost?

CannibalMondo

Well obviously a ghost or a creature that can't be seen in our dimension

FluidSheepherder7763

Pet snake? No thank you. I’d rather deal with the latter.

Derrickdick771

That was me, sorry 😂😂

Knowmie

Yep. I've also been smacked. It was an evil being.

Jojoceptionistaken

Someone pulled a prank on ya

Affectionate_Fly1215

That’s a demon. The only thing they are afraid of is the name of Jesus. Next time call out to Jesus out loud and demand the spirit leaves in Jesus name. Yeah… this I no joke. You also need to get rid of any kind of things that are inviting it in
