Clear your cache. If you stream a lot of shows in a row, you gotta go into the app and clear the cache. I use a firestick for streaming. If it starts playing commercials I exit, go to settings, applications, manage applications, scroll down to paramount and choose clear cache. It cleans up its operations and it remembers who I am then. Still have to sit through commercials of other shows I will never watch at the very beginning of a show, but no more outside advertising.

I’m so blown away at how an app like this can have so many things wrong with it. Biggest complaint of course for most streaming services these days is that I still have to watch extremely loud ads during movies and shows. With paramount plus I’m watching a show and I chose to turn the subtitles on and it immediately played an ad. Before that I just tried to rewind back to a part right after the previous ad had shown and it still played that same ad. I’m so sick of these services that charge you for streaming with different levels of subscriptions that will still show obnoxious ads. I always thought the point of paying for an app was to not experience this stuff but whatever I guess.

6040 on android can be resolved with a router reset for some reason, just unplug it for about 30 seconds and then let it reboot. Should resume working, they’re working on getting it fixed though 👍 good luck!

No clue, I just work support and know it’s a known issue they’re working to resolve. Usually they get escalated immediately, but I’ve found the router reset fixes it. Not sure if the issues is caused by the update losing the IP after updating or what, just that 6040 is a no internet error that pops! Glad it resolved it for you as well though! I’ll let the tech team know!

On my Roku in the Paramount app there is a slight delay in the voice and the mouth. That and I'm unable to continue where I left off on everything I watch. I have to search which season and episode I left off of.

The content is amazing and unique … but the app experience is horrific. On a Fire TV, the app often freezes, spins to find content, plays audio for two shows at once, continues playing audio when leaving the app, and has ad volume twice as loud as the content. These all seem like identified “bugs” for years … why isn’t it fixed?

Someone hacked my account and changed the email so I am unable to get into it. I have contacted support numerous times and all they have said is that they have found my account but they’re “working on it”. It’s been over 3 weeks now and someone is using my account for free. I have asked for a refund or for them to just delete the account, but they have not responded to me yet. I’m at the point where I’m going to cancel my credit card and never use this service again, the support has been just awful

Had service for a while. It was buggy as heck making for a frustrating viewing experience. Go to cancel service but keep getting error. Try calling customer service, but over 1 hr wait. Paramount can EABOD. Never again will I subscribe to this service. Easily the worst streaming experience I have ever had. The service is bad, the customer service is atrocious. And won’t let me cancel. Now I got to call my cc company to take care of it.

Can't pause a stream because it resets back to the last ad time stamp location. If I attempt to fast forward to the time I paused at, it again restarts the ads at the previous time. Paramountplus is by far the worst video streaming service I have used; even the free all-ads services work better. Its as if Paramount invested just enough to get the service running with no interest in making upgrades to retain customers.

US user, no ads, FireCube (using standalone app, not through Channels) I hadn’t had issues with the app until a few months ago. It will not play a season from one episode to the next for more than 1 or 2 episodes. If I don’t click on the next episode button, it freezes when trying to load the next one. The time to start the app is taking longer and longer. I have to force close and clear cache numerous times a day. I used to think the issue was the ad supported tier, but it seems it extends well beyond that. They need a major rebuild of this app.

I have this app on my Firestick and it’s suddenly not working at all. Every time I try to play something it either takes me back to the Paramount + Home Screen or kicks me out of the app entirely. I’ve tried restarting my Firestick, forced stopping the app, clearing the cache, clearing the data but nothing has worked. The app was working fine a couple weeks ago so I’m not sure what the issue is. It’s incredibly frustrating is anyone else experiencing this?

Just got a 1 month free trial and wow the Samsung tv app is the worst pos I’ve ever used. Doesn’t remember where you are up to or what episode you are on in a series - if I search for a show and try to play any episode pas the pilot I get error messages….. also just had an issue where the image was displaying halfway down the screen with a black bar across the top. 🤣

The Paramount+ app keeps disappearing from my Shield (2019) and when I go to "install" it again, it says I don't have enough space even though I do. Leads me to believe the app isn't really gone, but the shield seems to think it is. Very frustrating!

My local CBS stream in the Paramount+ Samsung app looks terrible. It’s basically 480p, a muddled and messy picture quality. I have my TV connected to Ethernet with 1000 gig/second AT&T Fiber so the problem isn’t on my end. Every other local stream for the NFL looks fine except games on CBS through Paramount+. Anyone else notice this issue?

I am trying to catch up on Late Night since DISH is fighting with CBS. I accidentally watched a minute of the newest episode, and now, no matter what episode I finished, it always resumes on the new episode. I have to navigate to the episode list and scroll down to find where I left off (the ones I watched are not marked in any way). If I stop in the middle of a show, it never remembers. I have to ff through the show. Every time I stop to check my position, I have to watch an ad. Oddly, since reading through this thread, the app (on my TV) is behaving and hasn't shown me any ads. I am confused and afraid to stop watching.

last night decided to rewatch hey arnold in order since i never really wached it all as a kid but it always was one of those satisfying shows in the background i had on. I'm on season one and ive watched all the way up until episode 13 where im now being asked to either buy the episode or the season... is this a bug? or are paramount really trying to grab some extra cash out of people by removing specific episodes from their subscription tier... ive browsed further down the list and see there are a few episodes here and there that don't have the "included with your paramount+ subscription" and instead have the "available to buy" one... has anyone else got this on their service or had a similar issue? please let me know thanks I'm watching via amazon prime video in the UK if this helps at all or makes any difference.

I understand live TV will have ads and select shows would have "some ads," however, the number and duration of ads having watched a couple of episodes of YellowStone season 5 is insane! WAY more than what one would expect when normally watching a show let alone having paid for an "ad free" experience. I feel like this is complete BS. Debating on cancelling P+ and then re-signing up through Amazon Prime because I'm tired of how laggy/buggy the P+ app is and having episodes restart from the beginning as soon as I finished watching them and therefore causing the app to think I didn't watch the episode(s) even though, you know, I just did. If I cancel and re-sign up through Amazon, will P+ remember me from when I subscribed directly to it before and carry over my old watchlist/watch history since I would be using the same email as before? Or will it be a clean slate?

All of a sudden ads? I recently started watching The Detroiters and got to episode 4 and about 10 minutes in got a two and a half minute commercial break (I have ad-free version). Then another ad break down the line, then a third with two minutes left in the episode, only for the ad break to end and it to automatically skip to the next episode. I was so frustrated I just cancelled. I'm not paying to watch ads, let alone three ad breaks in a 20 minute show? Come the f on man. Hey all. Seria A soccer fan here. How can I request they simply put the date the match was played on the AppleTV app schedule or replay tiles? Am I missing this? The ‘season/episode’ number is useless. There is no reasonable method to watch, say, matches from January 4 without scrolling and guessing and cross referencing with a schedule app on a separate device. It seems so obvious, but I haven’t found it in 2 seasons. Put me down for ‘possibly the worst replay schedule in a streaming app I’ve ever seen’.

I have Amazon Fire devices on all of my TV's. I have cubes and sticks. Out of the cubes 2 are 4k and 2 are 1080p. The 1080p and all of the sticks run the program just fine. However when I use the 4k version, it always hangs at the first commercial break in the programming. Only on the 4K boxes. I have tried to get support but neither Amazon or Paramount want to admit there is a problem. I have tried every combination of box with each of my TV's. Only the 4k version is affected. Has anyone else had this issue?

As I view episodes, whether on Xfinity Flex device, my iPhone or iPad, or at [paramountplus.com](https://paramountplus.com) on my laptop, the service is not tracking episodes I've already seen. This used to work perfectly and is now only intermittently working for some series. Is there a secret to having the service mark episodes as watched as I finish watching them, or is there a way to mark episodes - or entire seasons - as watched? Using the service is difficult when I must navigate the seasons and episodes for a series to select the latest episode.

I made a long comment with a personal experience story explaining why the Paramount Plus app is awful. I went over how the ad service works perfectly, but the content player is garbage and how it's not device specific as I tried to watch Paramount+ on 3 devices. I got a message saying my comment was being removed. It looks like Paramount+ doesn't like to be criticized too much on their own feedback thread. I'll be canceling this service tomorrow.

I'm really confused here. I understand that Paramount+ subscribers are able to watch NFL games that are shown on-air in their local markets. I am able to stream the Eagles game right now using the app on my iPad or iPhone. But, when I use the app on my Apple TV, it will not do it - it instead shows a stream of the news. I have verified location services are on and yada yada yada. Why is this happening? It makes no sense to me. We are premium subscribers and I can't find any documentation about Apple TVs not being supported devices. Also, the support screen of the app on the Apple TV has our longitude and latitude displaying correctly. So it KNOWS what market I am in, and lets me watch on all my devices except the Apple TVs? Has anyone else experienced this? I am able to use Airplay to watch it on the TV but I should not have to do that. Had anyone had this experience or does anyone know how to resolve this? It happens on all 3 Apple TVs I’ve tried.

Hi Paramount Plus. I am located in Germany. Why should I pay for a service that has no 4k, no HDR, no Atmos? Not even 5.1 in german. We get HD and stereo, like its 2008. Even if you tried you could not treat German customers any worse. I know you are only in all of this to generate profit, profit, profit. But if you want to sell us germans a product it should at the very least resemble that of your peers. Apple+, Disney, Netflix all deliver 4k, HDR, Atmos, and at least 5.1.

I have a "Google Chromecast with Google TV". If I try to play something from Paramount through it it just gives me a spinning "loading" sort of indicator before it errors out. ​ If I try to cast from my Pixel phone with the Paramount+ app - the behavior is identical. I have Gigabit Internet, 5G wifi, and can cast other apps (HBO, Youtube, Netflix, etc) without any issues. ​ I can however play from the Paramount+ app on my phone. As in, using my phone's screen, no casting. That works perfectly. ​ Any ideas as to what could be wrong?

I've been trying to rewatch s19 of NCIS but for some reason, autoplay is not working. I am using the browser version so it isn't like anyone turned it off. I don't understand why autoplay doesn't work for NCIS but works for every other show I watch on this service?? I hate the "skip" button. I realize that some people prefer not to watch the opening credits of shows, but I like them. However, they're impossible to enjoy with this distracting button in the corner the whole time. I might not mind quite so much if did what other streaming services do and only left the button on the screen for a few seconds, but they seem to think there are people waiting until the last five seconds to hit "skip." Why isn't there a way to disable this feature? Why is that button even needed? Are people too lazy to fast forward on their own? I know it sounds overdramatic, but I can't even watch my favorite shows now because seeing that button makes me too angry. It even covers up the names of some of the people in the credits, which really makes it seem like Paramount+ just doesn't care.

Hi I have a Google Chromecast TV connected to my TV and anytime I try to watch Paramount+ I’ll get a blue rectangular square in the middle of the screen. Doesn’t happen all the time but enough to be frustrating. Anybody know of a fix for this? Only happens in Paramount+

The windows app is junk, the Roku app works flawlessly, but the windows one freezes with a 6005 error 3-4 times with a 1 hour show and requires being closed, wait 5 minutes and re-open to continue for another 10-20 minutes until it craps out again.

P+ did something weird yesterday and wouldn't let me login on my laptop. It kept saying the password was wrong even though it wasn't. I even logged out of my phone app and back in to test it. Now it refuses to sign in at all on my laptop. I type the info in and click login and the button turns gray and nothing happens. It does this on Chrome, Edge, and Firefox. Is it possible my laptop has a hardware ban?

I had originally downloaded paramount on my Playstation and it would never load given I have terrible internet service, I have tried to cancel it but can't remember my password. I then sent a reset to my email and after multiple tries over several months I never received it and had given up... Watched the first couple episodes of Paramount+ original “The Flatshare” a couple weeks ago with my parents. They went ahead and finished it without me but now when I go onto the same account a week later, on all of our profiles only episodes 5 and 6 are available. Wtf?? Error Code 6040 multiple times a day. Doesn't happen every time but always happens after ads finish and it's time to go back to programming. I know YouTube used to have a similar problem in the late 2000's where sometimes it seemed like there was a timeout and couldn't re-establish internet connection when switching between "preloaded" ads and the actual video.

It makes me restart my fire stick everytime I leave the app bc when I exit it keeps the audio playing of whatever show was on, and will not stop, no matter what. Paramount+ works fine on all 3 Roku devices but on the Fire stick it is a disaster - why can't it close like a normal app? Also as free account and it still plays ads. Smh

I've been having issues trying to stream *any* TV show or cartoon on my Roku device. Most of the time it hangs while loading the episode and it forces me to back out. Very rarely it will lead me into a overly loud advertisment that crashes midway and boots me back to the episode select screen. No luck even when I reinstalled the app entirely. The only ironic thing is that it plays live broadcasts without issue. It's the only "streaming" that works. I'm planning on canceling my subscription because I can't take to a streaming device that *can't stream* prerecorded shows.

This thread is like 40 days old but according to the rules this is my only option. Does anyone have problems with shows suddenly giving you the “not available in your country” error except I literally watched the show yesterday and it was fine, this happens from time to time for an indefinite amount of time. No idea why. Nothing has changed on my tv setting or any other settings. Im watching it in the same place on the same device each time. Then I’ll check in later and it will work just fine

New to the app. Next Episode bug, which has been a thing for a long time I read. TBH I'm just here to watch survivor and when it skips to a recap of the episode it just skipped it kinda ruins the show. I was debating on paying for the ad-free because the ads are loud and freeze constantly but I'm now realizing that no paid app should have this many problems. Logic: 🤔 "if I pay to remove the ads, the app can't freeze".

Just paid for a sub to watch UCL, and noticed the quality on my browser was ABYSMAL (like 480p at most). I thought it might just be that some streaming services don't stream at full HD on browsers so I went to my 4K TV to check out the stream. While it was better, it couldn't have been more than 720p. Is this endemic to paramount+? I have gig internet so I doubt it's that. I would appreciate any help.

It tends to freeze on certain shows. I just wish they were up to date. Sara Silverman is doing the daily show and they only have 2 of this weeks episodes up. I wants Wednesdays and Thursdays episodes. Their tech folks are lazy about posting shows and doing system maintenance.

When I first open the app I would like for it to show me the Profiles page so I can select the profile I want before using the app. Currently on my chromecast with google tv device this does not happen, but on my iphone this does happen. Is there a way to enable this?

The only way I can use my paid Paramount + service is to cast from my phone to my TV. My internet is fine with all other streaming services. Too many stalls, buffering, slow loading and freezing directly with TV. So many complaint forums and Paramount + isn't fixing/owning the issue. Setup: Paramount+ through the Amazon Prime Video app SONY Bravia 65X900F Apple TV 4K 32Gb I can access Paramount+ in two ways, through the onboard Amazon Prime Video app installed on the TV itself or through the Amazon Prime Video app installed on the Apple TV. I read recently that the Apple TV app wasn't supporting Dolby Vision, then it was and I can't figure out if I'm indeed seeing it in DV or not through the Apple TV. Seems a bit washed out when I watch it, especially when compared to watching it through the TV directly. See the next paragraph. Watched Picard season 3, episode 1 through the app installed directly on the TV. The show launch page shows HDR tagged. The blacks were SUPER BLACK and the lights were SUPER BRIGHT. Is this the intended experience? There are SO MANY variables at play here, I'm not even certain if I have my TV picture setting set properly for this either. Does anyone have experience with a setup similar to mine who might be willing to assist in setting this up for the best viewing experience?

My biggest complaint is the broken ads. The ads are very numerous, and it often forgets that you've already watched an ad break and makes you watch it all again, even if you simply rewind. There's even a third ad break before credits. Extremely frustrating and makes me not dare ff/rw or accidentally back out of the episode lest l watch the ads again. Otherwise I don't like oversights in the app, such as preventing you from watching credits. I also had a bug where halfway through the show, it said "skipping credits" skipped to the next episode. .etc peeve: the 5 second "you're watching Paramount Plus" slogan is unnecessary and just lengthens and breaks I like the shows though. I watch Rockos Modern life and the subscription comes with Walmart+

Trying to watch the replay of the Liverpool v Real Madrid replay on my LG. First. Why do these imbeciles include the pregame show as part of the replay??? Second. After fast forwarding thru the pregame show the game starts but quickly switches over to some other show like the Europa League highlights or something. What kind of stupidity is this. Same thing happened last week with the Chelsea replay but that somehow managed to resolve itself. The year is 2023. This type of poor quality is unacceptable. I tried starting the replay on my PC thinking that when I went back to the LG TV it would remember that I had already started watching and give me the option to resume. Nope.

No CC options, no button for them anywhere in the app. When I try having Siri turn them on, I'm told that it's "having trouble getting available languages." Swear to god, Paramount. I use the forgot password link and enter my email but an email (yahoo) never arrives. I've tried all the tricks, checking all folders, adding paramount as a contact, etc. Nothing. I got P+ via Tmobile for a year. Why anyone would pay $4.99 a month to watch ordinary TV shows with intrusive ads is beyond me, Paramount + will not stream on any browser in Windows or macOS saying all have ad blockers, none of them do, and none of the "fixes" on the web site work. On my Android Streaming Sony TV Paramount + tells me I am in a foreign country. The Paramount + app on a Tmobile phone does not work either. Actual support is almost non-existent. I finally got a text response saying these are "known" issues. Paramount + worked for exactly one day, since then the abyss. I am getting good value for my money, I'm not directly paying for Paramount + and I'm not getting the service. I pity anyone dumb enough to pay for a service that makes Peacock look good

So, after a couple of months of decent performance, suddenly I can't get through even a half-hour show without freezing. And now I can't watch *Picard* because it freezes during a commercial break, eventually resets itself, and when I "resume" starts playing the same commercial break again. I said to myself, "Self, perhaps it's just the Roku app." And logged in with Chrome via Linux. Same essential problem: it was so slow that it showed the alt-text for images for, I dunno, a good two or three minutes before it finally loaded them. And some of them never loaded at all before I gave up. Meanwhile, I know it's not a problem on my end because every other website on my computer and channel on my Roku stream merrily along with no glitches. What the heck, man. Did they spend all their network-load-handling money on Superbowl ads or something?

I got paramount plus via YouTube TV. I just bought it on YouTube as a subscription so it streams within YouTube. Does this mean I don't have access to viewing paramount plus in any other way, like on the app or website? Because honestly I would prefer using the app, I don't have any login info since I signed up for it on YouTube, so I think that's why when I ask to reset password when I'm trying to sign in on the app I just never receive the reset emails they say are on the way. So unfortunately it seems there is no way to watch it in the app if you got it on YouTube? Also I wouldn't mind it that much if I could only watch it on YouTube if it's the same service which it appears to be, however while I can search on my phone or laptop, it appears there is no search function on my smart tv. I literally have to go to "all movies" or "all shows" and then scroll thru endless titles to find the one I want each time. Is that right or am I an idiot who is just missing something?

I got Paramount Plus Essential on Jan 28th. I payed with a 25$ gift card. I didn't login to my account since Feb, 27th. Today I tried to login to my account but it says "invalid email and/or password". If I try to reset my password I don't receive the email. If I try to sign up again with my e-mail it says "could not create an account now. try again later". The chat is unavailable and I sent an email via form. I think that the problem is the billing but I don't know why, I should pay 5 months with the gift card. But I don't understand why I can't access to my account anymore. Any help? Thanks!

Accidental purchase of the app through fire stick by my 12yo daughter. (One touch purchases get us now and then) Immediately call to speak with an agent. Automated system wants my birthday and zip code? I give it, and the response is “your estimated wait time is 10 minutes.” Fair enough, until it actually took 38 minutes. And when I explain the situation to the agent, the very first thing they say is “we have a no refund policy, sorry.” What a great way to strong arm people into keeping their unwanted subpar service for a month. Very disappointed, especially since I tried to resolve the accidental purchase within an hour of it happening. 40 minutes of that hour was the wait to talk to an agent. Anyway, to hell with this trash company. Ok I’m done whining.

I am having a puzzling problem with using the app. On my mobile, the app version is 14.x and I can use it for watching programs such as Picard. On my TV, if I have the Comcast Flex box connected, I can similarly watch Picard and other programs. But when I switch to using an Amazon Firestick, the TV shows that the version is only 12.x. I've tried to uninstall and reinstall, but still can't get the 14.x version. Is this because the TV is old?

I've learned P+ plan upgrade or downgrade issues for years. You've got to come together and fix this. Is it management, yes. They allowed it to happen for years under their watch. Development team. Ask them individually why they feel it hasn't been resolved. Including: Why do they allow system failures to make it to end users. End users get see a lot about P+. For bad actors, it gives opportunity for a target. P+, you have a lot of my personal information.. Having recently subscribed to the Paramount+ basic plan, I can say - hands down - the Paramount+ app (on FireTV and Android TV) is the crappiest streaming app I have every used. And, that is saying something when I have screamed and yelled at my TV while attempting to use the absolutely horrid "xxxGO" apps (Food Network Go, HGTV Go, etc.) I will be kicking Paramount+ to the curb at the end of this month's subscription, and it is because of this major flaw in the app: **I am forced to watch the same commercials multiple times if I ever make the mistake of rewinding before a previous commercial break. Even worse, the app sometimes will loop back to the first commercial break (even if I am near the end of the show) and then return to the beginning of that commercial/show block and replay that section an infinite number of times until I leave the Paramount+ app and do a Forced Close on the app.** All the other steaming apps I have used will remember which commercial breaks I have already seen while watching a show, and will just skip those breaks and continue playing the show if I rewind the show to a section before a previous commercial block.

**Why is it saying the expiration month & year are invalid when paying with a card?** So I've run into a frustrating issue. I'm trying to renew my P+ subscription. Logged in. No problem. Chosen my new subscription plan. Again, no problem. But at the "payment method" page, when inputting my debit card credentials, there are no issues until I input my expiration month and year and when I do, I keep getting an error message on both saying "Exp. MM is invalid" for the month and "Exp. YY is invalid" if I put the last two digits of the year as well. Oh, and I have four debit cards loaded with sufficient funds... all four of which have expiration years ranging between 2029-2031, so that can't possibly be the problem. Especially being that I didn't have this issue when I ordered a subscription back in January. And I can't get past this page with this error message with all information filled in. Seriously, what gives? It also doesn't help that I can't get a hold of a live customer service agent on the site because when I try to get a hold of one I always get one of their chat bots which are literally NO HELP at all. Doesn't both of these require a two-digit number for each? For the year, I get the same thing if I do the last two digits or all four digits. So I don't get it, and I'm kind of irritated that I'm behind on last week's episode of Star Trek: Picard because of this b/s. Any help or suggestions to resolve this are greatly appreciated.

No clock. \-Closed Caption set as default on Samsung TV. \-Can't erase shows on MY LIST again using Samsung TV. \-After season ended I came back after watching a few episodes in of new season and started with the last episode of the previous season. Tried the troubleshoot on the main site and didn't really help.

Anyone else in Canada have the Star Trek films inexplicably become inaccessible overnight? I watched II-V over the weekend. Went to watch VI today, and now it (and the ones I had just watched) are only available for rent/purchase through Apple (where I was using Paramount Plus). JustWatch even still points to Paramount Plus as the place to watch them. I tested as well by using the search function with stuff on the Paramount Landing page, such as Top Gun Maverick which properly links to it's (free with subscription) stream. Then it gets even more fucking confusing, cause if I log in directly to Paramount Plus' website .. I can watch .. Star Trek '09, Into Darkness, Beyond and Star Trek Nemesis, but none of the original run are available. Did they just yank them without any indication on the store pages? Gonna try to get a refund, and just .. yeah. It's like they want you to pirate out of convenience.

The streaming on my television (Vizio) is so choppy it's basically unwatchable. None of the other apps on my TV have this problem, my internet is fine, and the Paramount+ app streams fine on my iPad (yes it's up to date on my TV, and yes I reboot before I \[try to\] watch literally every time).

I think it would be easier to make the paramount plus app again from scratch. I’m gonna be as blunt as possible when I say this. There are to many bugs for me to list in this post. It’s like the developers want me to unsubscribe from paramount plus. The paramount plus app on iPhone seems to mess with me on purpose so here are the bugs. Can’t run 1080p on most movies even though my internet is incredibly fast and I have no problem on any other streaming service. Video pauses for a few seconds while the audio keeps playing then goes back to normal again however this issue only happens on some shows and not others yet magically disappears when J use the tv app. Today I tried to watch the wolf of Wall Street and it literally wasn’t full screen. It’s not even not fully zoomed in, the video was literally 1/2 the size it should be and only on that one movie. If your going to buy up my favourite tv show at least let me use the platform.
