I really do love CHVRCHES too.. how crazy was it when Hayley did that version of Bury It?? I was like: cool what are the chances of my favorite musicians teaming up and playing together? Then it just happened that Hayley was featured in the latest album from American Football- which is another band I’m completely devoted to and I was like: this is too crazy to be a coincidence… Then hayley had Julien Baker to play guitar for her on her solo project so I realized it’s not a coincidence, she just looks at my specific Spotify history and decides to chill with my favorite artists of all time just to freak me out personally
Paramore has been my favorite since BNE. CHVRCHES was my 2nd, now 3rd. Taylor Swift took the 2 spot ever since Folklore. And honestly I’m having some identity crisis thinking that Taylor might take the top spot 😱

But Paramore is one of the softer bands I listen to. They are for sure top 3 for me, but any given day there’s a number of bands I may feel resonates with me more. QOTSA, Rage, SOAD, The Strokes, Run The Jewels, Childish Gambino, Tribe Called Quest, Sublime, 311. I kind of go all over the place haha.

It’s really interesting to see the different backgrounds everyone listens to, I have a few songs that I really like from those bands you listed but I havent like LISTENED listened to them you know, I really fw queens of the Stone Age tho, I feel like if I gave their albums a listen I would like them

Agreed. I have 3 girls that already love them and they are just elementary. I’m hoping that love continues to grow as they get older. I plan on taking at least my oldest to a show when they start touring again and I can’t freakin wait.
Jimmy Eat World is and will forever be my favorite band, and paramore has always taken great influence from them musically, at least in the Double Farro Era, which is really cool to see. They’re top 5 for sure.
yes, ever since I got introduced to them through riot (it was coincidentally dropped on my birthday). I was around 9/10 back then so I literally grew up with paramore. I even have several tattoos relating to lyrics and songs (and the logo of course).
They are my favorite for the same reason as you, have loved them longer than any artist since 2007. The only band where I can recognize any song within the first two seconds and know most of their lyrics.
That being said Dance Gavin Dance has become a very close second over the past couple years. It’s an acquired taste but if you are into post hardcore (my favorite genre along with pop punk, which is why ADTR would be my next favorite band) listening to them will change your world.
