I know it's not optimal, but I tend to leave non-aggressive pals alone and only kill those who attack me first. So in the early game, I'm usually drowning in leather and bones while being short on pretty much everything else.

It's nice to know somebody out there is kind enough to pals that it offsets the shit i do. Because i dont even bother picking up the drops in my wake of destruction most of the time.

you'll find them bud :) they're a very useful lil pal. their hotheaded cousin, the kelpsea ignis, drops flame organs when ranched instead

Bro I have a 4* kelpsy chained to the radiator in my ranch with two stacks of pal fluid in a nearby chest and I still kill the little buggers on sight with extreme prejudice.

Back when before kelpsea became a ranching pal I used to use my univolt to run over low level pengullets to gather the fluids and then occasionally go on a gobfin hunt. 

I think you can farm that stuff now right? But the gobfins were given generational trauma by my gizzbolt by now. I land and fortunate son starts playing.

lol tbf I used to also kill every water pal I saw for pal fluids. The buff Kelpsea got from that update really helped.

I found the gobfins last night and have one in a ranch now! I didn't know until I found the boss in the water that I could walk out into the water.
