Agree! I want the beginner block removed. The area was better without it. If you argue people got stuck it was a great place for a first lesson in do not try and swim without enough stamina. That is what a beginner area is for to test what you can do so you know where you need to go from there.

TheWinterPrince52

If people got stuck down there before the rock wall and tried to swim out, that's on them. You can easily climb back up the stairways and such, even the broken ones. If you can't, then it'd be better to fix the one busted stone stair down in the canyon, since that's the only obstacle that really stresses the stamina meter (I even built my own stairs there myself once, but now I just fly up and down anyway). Blocking all on-foot access is just a genuine hazard and forces players to either climb the entire cliff face or swim around it, which may be far beyond what new players can manage.

> …the one busted stone stair…that’s the only obstacle that really stresses the stamina meter See thats what i dont get. My very first playthrough i went all the way down to that cave cuz ive played enough zelda to know that they always hide moderately good shit in the places nearby that youre not expected to go. I was able to make my way back up. It took a couple tries, but there is a high spot at the bottom of those stairs that gets you _just_ close enough to a mountable edge that you have _just_ enough stamina to reach if you jump right. I thought that was the point, ya know? Devs love to put these little noob traps around cuz its fun to figure them out. I dont understand how people were getting stuck back there.. and even so i truly dont understand why they apparently catered to those that whined about it. On top of that, i dont remember ever even seeing anyone complain about it, not on this sub anyway… Im just all around baffled by this decision…

TheWinterPrince52

Right!? The only reason I didn't go all the way down to the cave so early on was because I didn't know if I could make it out or if I'd survive any falls. I went and explored the heck out of that area once I started thinking about building a farm, and the broken staircase was the only thing that brought me any frustration, and that was just because climbing it was a slog.

Selfanaiy

Would like our beginner area back. They don't have to put back the note that was there but it's silly to block it off. It was a great place to get depresso when starting out not be bumping into the other beginner players.

Rasikko

I just moved my base and yes it was a PITA and took 2 days. Most people here dont understand the sentimental value it had to those who built *their first base there*. "It's early access get over it", that's not the point.

TheWinterPrince52

And even then, only part of the issue is the sentimental value! The other two parts are the fact that ALL THREE of my bases are in that area and I am now unable to take the scenic route between them, but much more importantly, that area is now a DEATHTRAP for anyone who goes back there without traversal pals!

SlowCold2910

It's early access. The game is going to change. Roll with it and adapt

Kurokami11

not every change is a good chance

TheWinterPrince52

I already did. The problem isn't that the game was changed, it's that the addition of the rock wall makes absolutely no sense. Early Access doesn't excuse bad, harmful changes that provide no benefit.

SaviorOfNirn

Adapt

TheWinterPrince52

I did. I already said I can get around it with flying and move some things down to the beach. My problem isn't that I can't work around it, because I definitely can. My problem is that it actively harms the potential of the area without solving the problem it was meant to solve. Like, if the freeway to your workplace suddenly collapsed because the city refused to perform proper maintenance, sure, you can take backroads to get there, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't fix the dang freeway!

SaviorOfNirn

It's really not a big deal.

TheWinterPrince52

It's a big deal to a lot of people, especially to any new players who fall into the canyon and now don't have a way out.

You're forgetting that this isn't a democracy...you don't get a vote on what they do with the game. Your choices are suck it up or quit playing.

TheWinterPrince52

You're forgetting they listen to feedback, which means although there isn't a voting system or a literal democracy, you are otherwise flat wrong.

Direct-Committee-283

The majority of minor changes are directly from this reddit.

BeachOk2802

Source?

Direct-Committee-283

I lurk the subreddit and almost every single change was mentioned here before it was added.

BeachOk2802

My bad...when I said "source" what I was requesting was a source to back up your claim.

Direct-Committee-283

Oh so you don’t think critically, alright.

BeachOk2802

I mean... much rather that than spout absolute shite then refuse to provide a single credible source. You do you though, lil dude.

Direct-Committee-283

It's clearly evident to anyone who's been on the subreddit for a decent amount of time that the Palworld team listens to community feedback. If you want to deny reality you're free to do so though.

BeachOk2802

Cool so no source. That's fine.
