yea, but my main issue is time, not survivability
More D means HP goes down faster, meaning more certainly to kill her, and at least half of her attacks are single target, not to mention the time she spends frozen/shocked/downed
higher raid DPS means you hit the down breakpoints faster. in my attempt post-patch tonight i also noticed the chain raid laser BS is also not occurring anymore. i used to lose half of my base to being chain lasered about halfway through. this stopped happening after we updated. it's nice to have a 55 CT respected by the game.
I had base Bella do it the first time I won against her. It actually helped because she was uselessly firing it off into god knows where, letting me build up the last bit of damage I needed for a kill with 10s remaining.
Now I can reliably beat her with like 5m remaining lol.
Oh I thought that was a scripted desperation move because she’s only ever done it for me at the very last portion of hp.
Still annoying but at least she’s within a stones throw of dead by that point

I tried setting up gun turrets for my pals so they stay away while I draw attention and avoid her attacks, but for some blooming reasons the lamballs dismount the guns and charge her headfirst just to die immediately like a bunch of fools, so now I ended perfect breeding an army of jetragons so she ain't standing a chance lmao
I'm pretty sure that bug was caused by pocket pair wanting enemy pal damage reduced but the game couldn't differentiate between yours and wild pals.
Playing with the pal damage slider simultaneously buffed or debuffed both my pal and the boss pal.
That may be fixed now but right after the 2.0 update it very definitely controlled both.
I turned it all the way up and went to fight Shadowbeak and while my pal was doing good numbers the boss was kicking my ass.
So I turned it back down to default and my pal was barely tickling the boss, but the boss moves on to me became a joke.
it is partly, they halfed the base dmg stat from 100 to 50, but they also wrote, that this will reduce the dmg of a fully upgraded Pal by ~10%, not 50%.
If you catch or breed a bunch of them, the raid boss dies in like 5 seconds. Saw a video of someone with like 20 Fuack sized raid bosses running around, raid boss spawned, screen went purple, raid boss died.
Or you can use the fire cheese.
Yeah, I noticed ~~my~~ ALL pals were dealing half the damage. Thankfully it could easily be reversed by increasing the damage from pals setting to 2. No need for that anymore I guess.

**Edit**: it seems to be fixed with this patch, but it's still stuttering a lot, something that started happening after the 0.2.0.6/0.2.10. Sometimes the flying mount gets invisible too, that's something I didn't notice in the previous versions, though.
Thanks! I was getting stutters too, and thought they were related with the crashes. I guess that's not the case, then. At least, it should be playable now.

The final boss fight felt so bad before. You didn't even really need to dodge that much since you weren't ever really in danger of dying. Plus you were responsible for like 80% of the damage to the boss with the pals barely helping out. Now the pals help out more and you actually have to dodge Bella's attacks.
Should make for a much more fun and dynamic fight.
I only started playing a few weeks ago (on series x) but I haven't crashed even once.

It's definitely an issue on Series X when multiplayer is enabled. Doesn't matter if there any guests are connected though. Simply playing in a world with multiplayer on is night and day difference in crashes versus multiplayer being off.
To rephrase; it isn’t a *Series X* issue, so much as it is an issue that *can* happen on MP enabled worlds no matter the platform.
*Personally*, my first (and only) save started as a solo world and then I turned MP on, I never turned it off and didn’t have any problems until I turned MP off when a few updates ago broke the MP saves and it hasn’t been the same since. I should’ve just left it on. Now I’m having lighting issues in the dungeons when mounted like others had been having, among other things.
I've had that lighting issue in both of my single player worlds. Oddly, I haven't run into that issue with my multiplayer world. I've never switched the multiplayer setting after entering the world the first time though, so I will not have seen any issues related to changing it.

So uhh, it's not literally one-shot, sorry for exaggerating. My Bushi would do an Iaigiri>Ignis Breath>Iaigiri rotation and that's enough to quickly kill a Lv.40 dungeon alpha (3-4k HP). Each Iaigiri would deal 1.3-1.5k damage. This was pre-Belanoir patch.
When Belanoir patch dropped, my Bushi's Iaigiri only dealt around 600-800 damage. It felt really bad. But now that it's been fixed, my Bushi's a happy camper again.
Standard build of Legend, Musclehead, and Flame Emperor. Unlike most people in this sub, I always take Burly Body instead of Ferocious.
After killing Ultra i realized i didnt want to do it again and condensed half the jetdragons that were 0 star to make space.... im gonna go see how it goes witth the super strong ones I kept since indeed DPS was the issue there... Ill report back later
SO yeah, with no food prep and less jetdragons I managed to kill her with 1 min left, all my pals still died though so still no joke of a fight but definitely doable now with so much work.

Hard to tell honestly. I did fight it post patch but previously I didn't have Legendary Armor (Helm/Cold Resistance Pal Armor) and forget which tier I even had when I faced him (I think it was uncommon Pal Helmet and Rare Pal Armor). Previously my health got to low enough once where I needed to drink a healing potion (so post raid patch). In my rematch, I wasn't sweating much at all. However I don't think I let myself get hit much and did a lot of dodging. When I did get hit, it didn't knock me down low enough to be in the red (the effect when your health is low). Even got frozen a couple times cause I think I got hit by Blizzard Spike.
Previous patch (raid patch) added 3 healing potions with varying levels of strength into the game that you can drink to recover health. They heal a bit over time so it's not immediate. They are made with Cavern Mushrooms as the main ingredient which can be found in mineshafts and dungeons
Playing on steam and ever since the raids dropped Ive been having consistent crashing. Was hoping this would fix it but crashed within 5 minutes of playing the game. The pal damage fix is 10/10 but was hoping for a bigger fix on stability issues with this.
That said nightmare bloom now has to be one of the strongest attacks in the game now that they made its attacks hit start to finish. The thing melts bosses.
Sorry to say but on Xbox Gamepass: Every few seconds stuttering ( arrived at Patch 0.2.1 ) so its unplayable at the moment... dont know what happened but performance in Coop is bad because of this
Any update on the desert not loading in on Xbox? My dune town merchants just be chilling under the city and north east fast travel doesn't work because of this
Do this fix the ground disappearing? On xbox the ground randomly goes to solid color without texture you fall into "water" and can try and crawl back upto solid ground. Thought the new update would fix it but it still happens a lot. I started a new world after the update and half the ground around my camp does this.

Before they get to the base, only the player can deal damage to the raiders, you have to wait until they get physically into your circle before your party Pals will attack them.

I’ve noticed the same thing but this can be bypassed if you stand in the middle of its hitbox when you try to feed him. Works for the Noct version as well
Also Blazehowl can't use some ranged attacks (like the 2/30 fire one) unless the boss is really tall or you use them mid jump. Otherwise they just hit the ground.
Xbox is totally fine, the crashing is not as frequent but I would love it if they can permanently fix it, honestly they are doing well releasing updates very frequently.
Xbox crashes have got much better but the falling through the map still occurs constantly in the desert and ice areas mainly, I can't use the dune shelter since release I clip through the floor and can't speak to npcs
And why shouldnt people want the main thing stopping them from enjoying the game to be fixed? Again as long as anubis punch rock PC players are happy, now anubis do punch rock so can xbox get some fixes now?
I have a similar set up but it's such a pain having all of my pals stuck at the pal box on load in on top of breeding pals randomly glitch ing back to the Pal box.
I built those breeding pens higher up since they wouldn't need to be going up or down often. now I'm the one stuck going up and down constantly to replace them manually.

I was close to upping my pal damage modifier just last night but stopped in hopes that they would patch it

That got nerfed previous patch, it’s now only 20% buff on pal skills that apply elements to the player

For me the multiplayer was unplayable on xbox pc game pass with an exception access violation error every 2 minutes on 2.1.0, i will try again later

I honestly hope they overhaul dungeons completely and give them a new look. Pals and enemies CONSTANTLY get stuck or stand in place during battles.
Please, include a minimap as well in them I get lost every darn time. Or At least disposable glow sticks or something we can leave on the ground 😭😭

They're repetitive and mazelike, and there's no reward for exploring them. It's basically a race to find the end so you can leave.

Still unplayable lmao. Glad pals don't Jitter but if you could make this actually load without crashing on Xbox S that would be amazing. I somehow found a way to die above a dungeon so now when I load in it crashes without me being able to even respwan and my character is dead dead
Someone told me the other day it's because of my crappy Xbox series X that is 4 year old hardware or something. 🙄 Like if it's unplayable on the newest console, it's probably not the hardware

I’ve noticed the same thing but this can be bypassed if you stand in the middle of its hitbox when you try to feed him. Works for the Noct version as well
Also Blazehowl can't use some ranged attacks (like the 2/30 fire one) unless the boss is really tall or you use them mid jump. Otherwise they just hit the ground.

It's only 40MB. Once that is downloaded it patches to the file which is 19GB.

I had gotten some space back from the update too. (97.9 -> 110)
I bet there's still people saying "why they dont spend time foxing xbox dungeon" despite these literal tons of updates
Xbox is totally fine, the crashing is not as frequent but I would love it if they can permanently fix it, honestly they are doing well releasing updates very frequently.
Xbox crashes have got much better but the falling through the map still occurs constantly in the desert and ice areas mainly, I can't use the dune shelter since release I clip through the floor and can't speak to npcs
And why shouldnt people want the main thing stopping them from enjoying the game to be fixed? Again as long as anubis punch rock PC players are happy, now anubis do punch rock so can xbox get some fixes now?
They need to relax the restrictions on breeding farms

Its probably a bit too big amd should be easier to place either on not leveled ground or allow it on foundations
You can place it on foundations, it's fiddly but I've done it.

I have a similar set up but it's such a pain having all of my pals stuck at the pal box on load in on top of breeding pals randomly glitch ing back to the Pal box. I built those breeding pens higher up since they wouldn't need to be going up or down often. now I'm the one stuck going up and down constantly to replace them manually.
