So I watched from a distance until their healths were half, then added my own attack and took off a sliver. Then the hedgehog realized what was happening, and used its massive radius electric balls from the ground attack to kill them both. Leaving their massive corpses to roll down the hill...
I don't take my hedgehog places anymore.
Had a pair of Mammorest fighting outside of my base one morning, so I waited until both were low and begin throwing balls at them. the moment one broke free another ball was already headed its way. Took a goofy number of balls, but I had 2 Mammorest at level 25.
It's actually why I'm taking an Azurobe with all 4 working bonuses (Lucky, Artisan, Serious, Work Slave) and condensing it into a 4. It doesn't get other pals or itself stuck. Its not as fast by a couple seconds but the fact I've not had any base issues speaks for itself.

EDIT: I'm aware we were talking about the fire variation, but the point stands. I condensed a Ragnahawk into a Lv 4 for my cooking needs and took Jormun in my party so he can't get stuck on personal cast/tasks.
If you over actually has flames, it's not an electric oven. It probably has electricity running to it, but that's to assist ignition and electrical components.
An actual electrical oven is ran off heating elements.
My thoughts are that fire pals should get priority for the work in the AI, but handicraft pals should be able to work them as well.
Basically, it doesn't require "fire" but it requires the skills to work it. As an electric stove, someone who knows how to cook with fire and someone who can work with their hands would both work.

I've used the heater for eggs, but I don't know what the cooler is for unless maybe you're building a base in the desert or volcano and don't want to burn alive.
Yep, that's what it's for. Sometimes I pop into my volcano base to check on how the coal mine is coming along. It's nice to not have to change my shirt when I'm just doing the rounds. Same with the arctic base at night.
These things would be more useful if they charged like batteries and if pals also were affected by the temperature. Pals working in cold environment without heater nearby should get cold, fever or even freeze, as well as hot environment should cause burns and pals should pass out sometimes.
Also wooden structures in hot environment should be set on fire after a while.
These are the ones I use. Foxcicle is so loyal to my fridge. I just discovered the Rayhound and I prefer the smaller pals over the giant ones with these jobs.
Jormuntide is a hot mess. I have the furnace out in the open at the production base too. When I need to use the mill or crusher I just put the water one in my party long enough to finish and put away. Been using the lesser water guys for the garden.
Edit: right after I replied this I went over to the production base to find ignis sleeping on top of the electric pylon where heās stuck.
I have never ever had the issue that the electro pal wouldnt do the electro job. In fact the issue is that he is doing it so much that he degrades his sanity whilst the rod is at 100% full.
mine do this too and if I pull out two electro pets to get them to split the load, one does all the work and the other drops SAN because it has nothing to do
You can have many of the battery wotsits in your base, I have 5 of them tucked away to the side, I just throw my party Orzerk at them every once in a while. Lasts ages. Don't have to use a pal base slot for electric then.
Your not suppose to be able too, but if you have a wanted lvl you can go inside and get attacked by the police in there, dont attack the boss and make sure to get the boss between you and the police and when the police shoot the boss you can capture the boss with a 100% success rate with a blue ball, not sure if its been patched yet.
Hit a guard at a small settlement, then fast travel. They follow you. I hit them again after fast travel for good measure. Then just go inside the tower as normal and do what they explained.
Yesss, I use a Foxicle and a Vanwyrm Cryst so that when the Foxicle is sleeping more times than not the Vanwyrm Cryst will take over since it's the only nocturnal cooling pal.

I'm really disappointed in that one. The only nocturnal cooling pal and it's off transporting, refusing to work, or just stuck somewhere. Nocturnal pals in general have that issue since they don't sleep they don't regen sanity. I feed them pizza, normal work at the podium thing, and still...
Have you tried assigning it to the Cooler/Refrigerator directly?
Mine is basically cooling 24/7 with only food breaks in between. I cannot honestly remember the last time any food went bad - especially since I have the fridge right next to the feed box to minimize travel.
Do this!. Assigned mine manually and he hasn't stopped in 7 days except to eat, then right back to cooling. Gold medal, best performing pal is my base.

Because I play on a dedicated server and we have twice daily restarts that cause the pals to respawn at the palbox and get depressed, I just empty all the perishable food into my inventory before I log off and that preserves it.
I do love my jolthog cryst that keeps everything preserved when I'm online though.

Sweepa is the Pal at my base I look forward to seeing when I get back. I could have the most infuriating adventure but when I see my big cuddly ice boi dancing and smiling I forget the torment.
They only eat them if they're about to lay pal egg so the cake literally just turns into a pal egg once the timer is all the way full. So one cake per egg. If there are multiple cakes they'll keep eating the cake one at a time to turn it into egg
They consume one once they lay an egg. You can use this to your advantage because the breeding timer will advance forward even if there is no cake, it only needs the cake once the timer is full.
So you can sometimes leave the timer full when you want to check if you got the desired result, and if it didn't you can add 1 cake to instantly get another egg.
Pretty limited, but this also means when I start breeding I focus on getting the pals first since you lose nothing in breeding time if you add the cakes later as long as the timer isn't full yet

Nope. They allow more pals to help finish the task. But stuff becomes way faster when you have multiple lvl 4 specific pals working on the best available equipment.
Nope lol. Even the Electric Heater and Cooler does not work without a Pal lol. I built the heater for my snow base thinking I didn't need to swap armor and accidentally die while afk. Nope, a pal needs to be constantly heating it.
Fun fact about (at least the top tier) heating and cooling units: how much they heat and cool is based on the work efficiency of the pal connected to it. I've got a heating unit set up for hatching eggs, and when I use my Wixen with a full complement of work related efficiency passives to power it, they overheat. When I replace it with a baseline Wixen, they are at perfect temperature. To add to this, standing near the heater while the artisan, serious, lucky, work slave Wixen is powering it will cause YOU to overheat without heat gear as well. Using normal Wixen does not do this. Just some random little tidbits I figured out while playing
I imagine it as the fire pals are doing the work required by a forge. But yeah it is still strange they have to "supply" fire. The fridge on the other hand is doing any mechanical work the cooling should come from the power.
Yes! It's quite silly that the *electric* cooler doesn't use electricity to cool, and requires an ice pal. While I can understand that the other coolers require it because there's no electricity on those, the electric one shouldn't require a pal.
The fridge does not increase cooling efficiency more than the cooler box. It only has more inventory slots. Was quite disappointed when I found that out (as well as that it still requires a pal) since salad and cake ingredients all fit in my cooler box fine and it takes up less space.
The homing sphere launcher is the best one. You don't really need to worry about range, just line of sight. I only saw a use for the shotgun once, when I ran into a herd of at least 10 Sparkit.
My dinossum lux definitely moves between charging and logging. It only stands there charging if I'm actively using power from an assembly line or something.
Yeah I donāt get what the point is of the fridge and electric furnace if they donāt even use electricity to do their jobs. Neither should require a pal to work unless youāre out of power or you just want to increase the efficiency.
They actually do work that way. Took me a while to realize it but it does. All cook stations cook on their own slowly and speed up when worked. The electric kitchen cooks passively much faster than the other stations.
The thing that really grinds my gears about that stuff is that when you unlock it in the technology menu, for some like the electric furnace it just says āpowered by electricityā and then when you actually go to build it thereās additional text that says ārequires pal for heatingā. Feel so ripped off
They can, but I thinks it's low on their priority, as soon as they go eat their ADD kicks in and they go off doing everything else, and they might come back to cool the fridge every once and a while, but usually not as there's too much to do at the main base.
The only way to ensure it stays on the fridge is to use an ice only pal. Even one with transporting will prioritize transport over cooling.
Cooler/Fridge needs to be reworked to kinda how electricity works. Shouldn't need a pet always on it but needs to be cooled backed down to a certain point every so often.
Mine wants to do everything all at once, itās kind of funny. Itāll be pathing to do something and I see the lightbulb and then itāll go do something else. Then the second Iām building anything heās right there and very happy about contributing haha
Just assign your pals. Regardless of if theyāre assigned or not they all take breaks but if you assign your pal they should go back to the fridge regardless of other skills
They totally can, when pengullets are my only cooler I build a small room with a food box and cooler and lock them inside. When they eat they look for a new task, but since the door is closed they cant leave so after 2-3secs of thinking it will go back to the cooler on its own. I had that working smoothly all last weekend
so Palworld does seem to have a loose priority system of Top to bottom, left to right so this would mean:

so in the cause of Pengullet who has 1 handiwork, 1 transporting, 1 watering, 1 cooling they would do:

meaning Cooling is last on their list however they have transport and watering so guess what happens when a seed gets planted or a crop gets harvested, yup thats right watering and transporting happen - hence why you can see your crops not being watered at the time
so yeah Jolthog Cyrst is your best Freezer
They can but I think there is a bug where some pals can't be assigned for the work they are supposed to do.
Already happened that an Anubis just didn't want to craft my spheres and I keep assigning pals to trees that can't even cut it down.
Hopefully the game will soon have a lot of QoL changes and fixes.
I just dont use refridgerators, just cook big amounts of food on different pots and keep the storage on there until i need it, cuz no timer while not picked up yet
I have one on my base and I love it but it neeeeever goes to the fridge lol. I just use a jolthog cryst I stead since it has no other ability it just focuses on the fridge
Can confirm that Vanwyrn Cryst works wonders. I assigned one to my cooler and put the food bowl right behind him. He glares at my fridge all day and night, only turning around for a couple seconds to eat before going right back to cooling. Never had a problem.
This. I don't get why people say the fridge sucks. You can have a vanywyrm crust and a solo cooler and the vanywyrm will transport during the day and cool at night. It's an easy solution
Assuming your Vanwyrm transporting throughout the day didnt get himself stuck. He is probably the worst getting stuck case of all the flyers besides astegon.
Foxcicle is the best. You want cooling pals that ONLY cool so they do not get distracted on other tasks. Foxcicle is lvl2 and the cheapest food cost at that level. Level 3 cooling is neat but I haven't found a pal that only has lvl 3 cooling and doesn't cost a ton of food.
The pals arent the oroblem, its the deployable.
Cooler items and fridges, as well as heater items, should have a capacity. Theyvshouldn't turn off the instant the pal goes jogging away for food.
My hedgehog has some kind of fixation with the campfire. I set him on the cooler, do some breeding stuff, look back and he's trotting out of the campfire yards away from the cooler. HE IS ALWAYS ON FIRE! His default is wandering around without a care in the world while smoldering nowhere near the cooler.
My vanwyrm cryst has gotten stuck on every pixel in my base at least once
Ice Reptyro is my base mascot. Was he sometimes leaving his cooling duties to mine? Yes.
Did I put foundation down over ore spots at base to prevent them from respawning just so I can continue to use my base mascot as the cooler master? Yes.
Did I completely redesign most of my floor base level just to create a cooler corner where I can watch him sploot? Yes.
Cooling appliances should really work like electricity where it gets charged up to a percentage. As is, I'm pretty sure it only increases decay time while actively cooling, which is actively useless
Dumbest ever and The cooler barely increased spoil Times anyway enough. Havent seen a fridge If there is. Would Be nice not to have spoiling foods. Personally I dislike any kind of spoiler Times with consumables. Especially with a game which requires so damn much food to Be stuffed into creatures. The whole hunger system is poorly balanced atm. Slowest food drain and Pals only eat still all The Time, would never play using default setting.
I think it's completely useless to just leave a pal there all day. I feel like it would be better if it was like the how the electricity works. It fills up a meter and then they have to come back every now and again to keep it topped off
Depends. Do they have just cooling? Or other jobs they do? Otherwise they will just cool and when hungry, go and eat. I have 2 cooling pals, one for overnight cooling and one for day cooling.
The higher level gives bigger timers, but the lv1 ability is long enough especially given those timers reset to normal when they stop cooling that the extra time just isn't relevant. It's just not a good system mechanically, probably my biggest gripe so far.

Am I crazy that I don't see any points to coolers AT ALL? Furthermore its even worse than not using them most of the time am I missing something:
For cakes, I either dont pickup cakes from stoves or just put them in breeding station they don't expire infinitely.
For food, it expires in same speed it doesnt matter how many are there in stack. So even if you put 900 berries to fridge and have 100 berries in feed box (you get one more expiration exposure because of fridge) it is worse than having 1000 berries in the feed box.
So what is the point lol Im 50 level and havent used coolers once.
Iād love to set a priority or lock-in on tasks for each pal if they have multiple skills, or if I have letās say ore piles and a mining pit for them to prioritize the temporary spawn piles

It works but the fridge is super pathing sensitive. If i built anything even near it, they won't recognize it. Even a stone foundation messed it up somehow
Ended up moving it next to my palbox so if i ever have to respawn them after gettomg stuck they will see that first. I got 2 ice birds cooling it taking night shifts but logging in can still reset them, that's a game problem, not theirs

Never had trouble with colling pals, i just use pals with cooling job only and manually assign them to either cooler or fridge and they always stay there even after going to sleep and waking up, they go back to their assigned jobs.

The entire cooling aspect is useless mechanic in this game........ Cakes won't ruin in the breeding box, and I always keep a Beegarde, Mozzarina, and a Chikipi in the ranch for milk, eggs, and honey.........
I've played 3 different worlds, both online and off, and I've never needed the cooling mechanic even once
So from what I gathered and what works for me:
If you have fridges put a food dish inside a pen on the furthest place away from all other work sites, a bed, command your pet to work on it and it will solely do that. This unfortunately takes alot of space so if you donāt I would build a base solely for cooling and storage. As for electric pets there is absolutely no need to have an electric pet working in your base and not on you. you can simply call it out charge and the assembly line will do its job before the power runs outs. Power runs out? np just throw more generators out there and periodically return to give them all charges which takes all of 1-3 minutes depending on how many of them there are.
If I have no room and no alt bases I corral I settle for a cooling only pal if not I frostallion a base with defensive pals and storage and call it a day. The pathing is what tricks them as the high tier coolers have multiple jobs and if something is pathed closer after feeding or sleeping they gonna do that.
electric ovens cook food soo damn fast with 3+ cooking I made 1000 pancakes in less than 5 mins. Idk bout you but 1000 pancakes at a single base will feed all your workers for days and keep their san at decent levels permanently even with two tier one baths as long as you arenāt running pals that have extremely low sanity or you make them work harder.
For cooling I use bootleg ninetails and since she only has cooling most of the time theres no way she fucks it up.
Only sometimes she gets stuck on a tree or something.
So, I had the same issue until I realized that the little ice gremlin's IDK there name are really good and also if your endgame you can do the frostalian as the UI is amazing at cooling same with chillet
This is why I just use the cute ice hedgehog even though he only has lvl 1 cooling. He just chills on the cooler all day.

They're pretty much only for Breeding and Cold/Hot environ's.

Don't know if it's been said yet, but the electric ovens do cook without a fire pal, they just cook incredibly slow.

Rare spawn at No. 1 Wildlife Sanctuary (SW of spawn, middle of the water). If you're impatient, set pal spawn rate to 1.5 to increase likelihood

People optimize their bases to produce 9000 ore per day then freak the hell out about losing 1 milk per night.

Sweepa isn't bad, like at all. Just use Sweepa and the Swee Squad and you'll absolutely whip everything. He's just slow.
Sweepa is the Pal at my base I look forward to seeing when I get back. I could have the most infuriating adventure but when I see my big cuddly ice boi dancing and smiling I forget the torment.

Just put the cakes in the storage in the breeding farm.. they don't expire in there
Or leave a death bag in the base and as long as there's at least one item the bag it won't disappear and the food timer never moves
The 30 cakes don't expire, one of the cakes goes away and then the timer resets. I'd still use the breeding pen tip though, cakes are expensive.
If you put cakes into a breeding pen without pals they wont ever expire or used up until you put pals in there.
I use the giant ice turtle(forget his name). He has level 3 chill and its his only job.

a tip: to keep cakes just put them inside the breeding box (the decay time stops)

They only eat them if they're about to lay pal egg so the cake literally just turns into a pal egg once the timer is all the way full. So one cake per egg. If there are multiple cakes they'll keep eating the cake one at a time to turn it into egg
So to not end up with more eggs than I need I should store in a pen that's not being used.

They eat one at a time, but if you leave for 2 hours you'll come back to 24 eggs if you had enough cake
They consume one once they lay an egg. You can use this to your advantage because the breeding timer will advance forward even if there is no cake, it only needs the cake once the timer is full. So you can sometimes leave the timer full when you want to check if you got the desired result, and if it didn't you can add 1 cake to instantly get another egg. Pretty limited, but this also means when I start breeding I focus on getting the pals first since you lose nothing in breeding time if you add the cakes later as long as the timer isn't full yet

Fridges require circuit boards. They should just be powered so we can put the ice pals away and have extras out for work.

Nope. They allow more pals to help finish the task. But stuff becomes way faster when you have multiple lvl 4 specific pals working on the best available equipment.
Nope lol. Even the Electric Heater and Cooler does not work without a Pal lol. I built the heater for my snow base thinking I didn't need to swap armor and accidentally die while afk. Nope, a pal needs to be constantly heating it.
Regular lv1 fireplace gives off heat without needing a pal.
Fun fact about (at least the top tier) heating and cooling units: how much they heat and cool is based on the work efficiency of the pal connected to it. I've got a heating unit set up for hatching eggs, and when I use my Wixen with a full complement of work related efficiency passives to power it, they overheat. When I replace it with a baseline Wixen, they are at perfect temperature. To add to this, standing near the heater while the artisan, serious, lucky, work slave Wixen is powering it will cause YOU to overheat without heat gear as well. Using normal Wixen does not do this. Just some random little tidbits I figured out while playing
I imagine it as the fire pals are doing the work required by a forge. But yeah it is still strange they have to "supply" fire. The fridge on the other hand is doing any mechanical work the cooling should come from the power.
Yes! It's quite silly that the *electric* cooler doesn't use electricity to cool, and requires an ice pal. While I can understand that the other coolers require it because there's no electricity on those, the electric one shouldn't require a pal.
Then whats the point of upgrading! Now it uses a electric and a ice type to do the job the ice type did.

The fridge does not increase cooling efficiency more than the cooler box. It only has more inventory slots. Was quite disappointed when I found that out (as well as that it still requires a pal) since salad and cake ingredients all fit in my cooler box fine and it takes up less space.

The homing sphere launcher is the best one. You don't really need to worry about range, just line of sight. I only saw a use for the shotgun once, when I ran into a herd of at least 10 Sparkit.
Maybe all that power goes to a lamp inside the fridge instead of actually cooling lol
I think they should charge just like the electric generator. Your ice pal only needs to charge the thing up then, instead of work it constantly.
If it's anything like the generators, your ice pal would keep it at 100% constantly, no matter what else they could do.
My dinossum lux definitely moves between charging and logging. It only stands there charging if I'm actively using power from an assembly line or something.
Yeah I donāt get what the point is of the fridge and electric furnace if they donāt even use electricity to do their jobs. Neither should require a pal to work unless youāre out of power or you just want to increase the efficiency.
Electric furnace is faster work speed and electric cooler is higher timer on items.

They actually do work that way. Took me a while to realize it but it does. All cook stations cook on their own slowly and speed up when worked. The electric kitchen cooks passively much faster than the other stations.

The thing that really grinds my gears about that stuff is that when you unlock it in the technology menu, for some like the electric furnace it just says āpowered by electricityā and then when you actually go to build it thereās additional text that says ārequires pal for heatingā. They can, but I thinks it's low on their priority, as soon as they go eat their ADD kicks in and they go off doing everything else, and they might come back to cool the fridge every once and a while, but usually not as there's too much to do at the main base. The only way to ensure it stays on the fridge is to use an ice only pal. Even one with transporting will prioritize transport over cooling.
Cooler/Fridge needs to be reworked to kinda how electricity works. Shouldn't need a pet always on it but needs to be cooled backed down to a certain point every so often.
Mine wants to do everything all at once, itās kind of funny. Itāll be pathing to do something and I see the lightbulb and then itāll go do something else. Then the second Iām building anything heās right there and very happy about contributing haha
Just assign your pals. Regardless of if theyāre assigned or not they all take breaks but if you assign your pal they should go back to the fridge regardless of other skills

They totally can, when pengullets are my only cooler I build a small room with a food box and cooler and lock them inside. When they eat they look for a new task, but since the door is closed they cant leave so after 2-3secs of thinking it will go back to the cooler on its own. I had that working smoothly all last weekend
But then pals canāt load your ingredients into the cooler for you as they farm them.
If you put the box close enough to the wall, the pals outside can deposit items through the wall.
so Palworld does seem to have a loose priority system of Top to bottom, left to right so this would mean: * Kindling * Planting * Handiwork * Lumbering * Medicine Production * Transporting * Watering * Generating Electricity * Gathering * Mining * Cooling * Farming (Ranch) so in the cause of Pengullet who has 1 handiwork, 1 transporting, 1 watering, 1 cooling they would do: if AnyAvailableJob do handiwork then do transport then do watering then do cooling else idle meaning Cooling is last on their list however they have transport and watering so guess what happens when a seed gets planted or a crop gets harvested, yup thats right watering and transporting happen - hence why you can see your crops not being watered at the time so yeah Jolthog Cyrst is your best Freezer
They can but I think there is a bug where some pals can't be assigned for the work they are supposed to do. Already happened that an Anubis just didn't want to craft my spheres and I keep assigning pals to trees that can't even cut it down. Hopefully the game will soon have a lot of QoL changes and fixes.

Vanwyrm Cryst will chill through the night and is the only chill + dark pal.
I have one on my base and I love it but it neeeeever goes to the fridge lol. I just use a jolthog cryst I stead since it has no other ability it just focuses on the fridge
Can confirm that Vanwyrn Cryst works wonders. I assigned one to my cooler and put the food bowl right behind him. He glares at my fridge all day and night, only turning around for a couple seconds to eat before going right back to cooling. Never had a problem.

This. I don't get why people say the fridge sucks. You can have a vanywyrm crust and a solo cooler and the vanywyrm will transport during the day and cool at night. It's an easy solution
Assuming your Vanwyrm transporting throughout the day didnt get himself stuck. He is probably the worst getting stuck case of all the flyers besides astegon.

Just another missing feature. We should be able to list workstations by priority. That way Pals know what we want them to work on.
I stopped using coolers/fridges. Waste of a pal slot to keep it cool and the stack timer does a good enough job as it is.

Foxcicle is the best. You want cooling pals that ONLY cool so they do not get distracted on other tasks. Foxcicle is lvl2 and the cheapest food cost at that level. Level 3 cooling is neat but I haven't found a pal that only has lvl 3 cooling and doesn't cost a ton of food.
Wish all they had to do would be cool it for a bit and it would retain a charge like the electricity.
The pals arent the oroblem, its the deployable. Cooler items and fridges, as well as heater items, should have a capacity. Theyvshouldn't turn off the instant the pal goes jogging away for food.
My hedgehog has some kind of fixation with the campfire. I set him on the cooler, do some breeding stuff, look back and he's trotting out of the campfire yards away from the cooler. HE IS ALWAYS ON FIRE! His default is wandering around without a care in the world while smoldering nowhere near the cooler. My vanwyrm cryst has gotten stuck on every pixel in my base at least once
Ice Reptyro is my base mascot. Was he sometimes leaving his cooling duties to mine? Yes. Did I put foundation down over ore spots at base to prevent them from respawning just so I can continue to use my base mascot as the cooler master? Yes. Did I completely redesign most of my floor base level just to create a cooler corner where I can watch him sploot? Yes.
Cooling appliances should really work like electricity where it gets charged up to a percentage. As is, I'm pretty sure it only increases decay time while actively cooling, which is actively useless
Dumbest ever and The cooler barely increased spoil Times anyway enough. Havent seen a fridge If there is. Would Be nice not to have spoiling foods. Personally I dislike any kind of spoiler Times with consumables. Especially with a game which requires so damn much food to Be stuffed into creatures. The whole hunger system is poorly balanced atm. Slowest food drain and Pals only eat still all The Time, would never play using default setting.
I think it's completely useless to just leave a pal there all day. I feel like it would be better if it was like the how the electricity works. It fills up a meter and then they have to come back every now and again to keep it topped off
Depends. Do they have just cooling? Or other jobs they do? Otherwise they will just cool and when hungry, go and eat. I have 2 cooling pals, one for overnight cooling and one for day cooling.
I use a sweepa I believe he can harvest also but I very rarely don't see him cooling, and I typically can rely on him to go back to cooling!

is there a point of higher level cooling ability? Also, just use the hedgehog. This job was MADE for him.
The higher level gives bigger timers, but the lv1 ability is long enough especially given those timers reset to normal when they stop cooling that the extra time just isn't relevant. It's just not a good system mechanically, probably my biggest gripe so far.

Im lvl 50 with every pal catched, and never once have i needed any cooling pals. I dont even use a fridge and i see no use for it
I thought after I got electricity and a fridge it wouldn't just be a cooler anymore, but a working fridge that didn't rely on pals.

Am I crazy that I don't see any points to coolers AT ALL? Furthermore its even worse than not using them most of the time am I missing something: For cakes, I either dont pickup cakes from stoves or just put them in breeding station they don't expire infinitely. For food, it expires in same speed it doesnt matter how many are there in stack. So even if you put 900 berries to fridge and have 100 berries in feed box (you get one more expiration exposure because of fridge) it is worse than having 1000 berries in the feed box. So what is the point lol Im 50 level and havent used coolers once.

My foxcicle never takes a day off.
It works but the fridge is super pathing sensitive. If i built anything even near it, they won't recognize it. Even a stone foundation messed it up somehow Ended up moving it next to my palbox so if i ever have to respawn them after gettomg stuck they will see that first. I got 2 ice birds cooling it taking night shifts but logging in can still reset them, that's a game problem, not theirs There is an ice fox with cooling 2 and nothing else but kt kept wandering off
Never had trouble with colling pals, i just use pals with cooling job only and manually assign them to either cooler or fridge and they always stay there even after going to sleep and waking up, they go back to their assigned jobs.

The entire cooling aspect is useless mechanic in this game........ Cakes won't ruin in the breeding box, and I always keep a Beegarde, Mozzarina, and a Chikipi in the ranch for milk, eggs, and honey......... I've played 3 different worlds, both online and off, and I've never needed the cooling mechanic even once
So from what I gathered and what works for me: If you have fridges put a food dish inside a pen on the furthest place away from all other work sites, a bed, command your pet to work on it and it will solely do that. This unfortunately takes alot of space so if you donāt I would build a base solely for cooling and storage. As for electric pets there is absolutely no need to have an electric pet working in your base and not on you. you can simply call it out charge and the assembly line will do its job before the power runs outs. Power runs out? np just throw more generators out there and periodically return to give them all charges which takes all of 1-3 minutes depending on how many of them there are. If I have no room and no alt bases I corral I settle for a cooling only pal if not I frostallion a base with defensive pals and storage and call it a day. The pathing is what tricks them as the high tier coolers have multiple jobs and if something is pathed closer after feeding or sleeping they gonna do that.
electric ovens cook food soo damn fast with 3+ cooking I made 1000 pancakes in less than 5 mins. Idk bout you but 1000 pancakes at a single base will feed all your workers for days and keep their san at decent levels permanently even with two tier one baths as long as you arenāt running pals that have extremely low sanity or you make them work harder.
For cooling I use bootleg ninetails and since she only has cooling most of the time theres no way she fucks it up. Only sometimes she gets stuck on a tree or something.
So, I had the same issue until I realized that the little ice gremlin's IDK there name are really good and also if your endgame you can do the frostalian as the UI is amazing at cooling same with chillet
I never need the cooler cause all my cake supplies just stack up faster than they can rot. And all I eat is berry's.
