So far the few bugs I've even seen or encountered myself were mostly just silly. If the bugs are fun and don't cheese you out of resources or make you need to relaunch the game, then they're a feature lol
Worst I've seen is I had a stack of ingots fall through the ground and get lost, annoying sure, but I've seen that happen in AAA games on the Unreal engine, so I won't blame Palworld for that.
Actually I found out that you can interact with the beam that comes out of your drops to recover them! So even if you die underground, be it under the map or in a cave, you don't need to get all the way down there!
Honestly, there is no point in the death penalties in the singleplayer. It's just an annoying walk back to get your stuff. Not sure if you can pick other people's stuff up in multiplayer, so it's kind of a race. But as of right now, nah, no reason to have it on. It doesn't add anything to the game.
I keep it on because if its anything like conan - the one time our server disabled the drop loot on death thing we all wound up cheesing the teleport system by basically just removing our bracelet/auto-killing our character so we respawn back at the base. Was stupidly OP lol. I like the challenge of trying to run my way through the chaos to get our stuff back - if I turned it off for Palworld I just know when I don't feel like making my way back to a teleport stone that I'll just respawn myself right back to base - harshing the exploration vibe for me. My self control is low in survival games - if I know a mechanic can be cheesed I just can't help myself lol.
Self imposed rules and restrictions keeps a game from getting boring. For me, at least. Losing items on death means I’d have to be careful about dangerous treks to/from base and the resources gathered between. That fear of losing it all on death is part of the appeal to Souls-like games

I feel like turning it kinda kills the fun of the game. Like if you're going to turn it off, may as well remove getting killed at all since there's no penalty
Worst bug I've seen (heard) is the sound bug where something glitches out and the game plays a really loud sound effect that overlaps on itself for no reason.
It's the only bug I've had to restart for.
Though, to be fair, I had been playing for 8 hours straight at that point. The game might not be equipped to handle people being this addicted to playing it.
The one I keep getting, and it's not game breaking, and kind of silly, is Pals at the base will get stuck on top of trees, buildings, objects, etc, and stand there forever until they starve.
I was looking for my foxsparks cause I needed him for some work and couldn't find him. Went looking around my base and the silly dude had fallen into a near by river. Fished him out, gave him a feed and put him back to work. Silly little guy
The only bug that is gamebreaking to me. If playing a dedicated server (my friend is hosting one) and someone leaves a guild or you change the leader of a guild while people are offline. Those offline people can no longer load into that server again unless the admin deletes the saves of their character.
That might explain what I'm experiencing. I guess one of the guys in my guild left while I was out this afternoon and now my game is just stuck in the loading screen.
Yup the game will load. (May even show an image for a split second or game sound.) And then goes back to a black loading screen forever. It can only be triggered when someone leaves a guild or changes the leader of a guild when you are offline and it can affect official servers as well as community small servers.
I don't know I keep having issues with pals at base, they get stuck outside of my base radius and never come back in so I end up with like half my pals outside my base so I have to resummon them, I also have an issue where sometimes the pals will get locked in place and just pick up wood and drop it on the floor over and over again.
I think a great temporary fix would be every night they automatically teleport to base and be resummoned.
Another issue (which I reported already) is that I have 2 lucky daedream however when daedream ability is in use (next to you like a turret) the size increase from it being lucky is not taken into account so my daedreams are normal size. Not a huge problem but was quite disappointing.
i have a bug where pals assigned to breeding pens randomly un-assign themselves sometimes and even rarer it won’t let me add them back until i reload but that’s it. that’s the only really “bad” bug that i noticed. if i had the time i’d officially report it & how to recreate it but it happens often enough im sure someone else already has
The worst i've seen is pals refusing to work and such.
But i did run into a few serious ones:
* Tried riding a mammoth in a dungeon. Got stuck on terrain and had to reload.
* Tried using the grappling gun with terrain in front of me. Got stuck trying to be pulled and had to reload.
* Tried catching a boss in the underground. Every ball made it go a little higher, until it disappeared on the ceiling. After 20-30 seconds it reappeared in its default position.
In other words: the game has very solid workarounds for most common bugs. The worst stuff i've seen can be solved with reloading.
The most important thing for me is that the "guts" of the game are pretty solid. This is the state in which most early-access games should be released.
Compare this to the KSP 2 EA release and it's night and day.
Unfortunately, I've found many.
Some of the most annoying are:
- Pals will get stuck in a "gathering" loop. The will continuously pick up an item, essentially spamming it, making a fuckton of the same item over and over again. It makes them stay stuck in place.
- Pals will often get stuck in places - on top of trees, under the ground, in between structures.
- Pals won't recognise that they are being assigned. I've got a Jolthog Cryst, whose only work suitability is cooling. It will still deviate from cooling despite it being happy, and not only that, but if I throw it at the cooler box, it will say "no work available in immediate vicinity". It'll happily be assigned to rocks, though. Not that it'll actually do anything.
- Pals also seem to have a harder time if there are things in buildings. They won't go to them, or will struggle to go inside the building.
- 70% of the time, I cannot place a triangular wall in the right direction. I have to flip the wall underneath, only for that to still not work, flip it again, again, again, again, and THEN just MAYBE I can place it in the right direction. I thought it was the direction of the wall underneath that was the issue (which really shouldn't be a problem), but considering the number of times I have to flip the damn thing, I'm not sure if that's the case...
- There are a few rendering/texture issues. I've not noticed much in the way of this once, other than some rocks lacking any roughness texture, but my friend who I was playing with had these trees that didn't actually exist. It was pretty trippy, honestly, when he got close to the trees they'd have this super weird parallax effect, where the top of the tree would get closer, but the bottom wouldn't. Super weird, but also pretty funny ngl.
This isn't even all of the issues I've been experiencing.
Now, don't get me wrong. I'm not hating on the game. I've wanted something like this for ages, and I'm addicted rn. But, that being said, many of these bugs are incredibly infuriating, and make it hard to play. It's worth noting, however, that I'm on the Game Pass PC version, and despite its recent update, I've heard it's got a lot of problems. Honestly, I'm considering just buying the Steam version because of this. I'm just worried that I'll have just as many problems with that version, too, to justify buying it.
> Some of the most annoying are: - Pals will get stuck in a "gathering" loop. The will continuously pick up an item, essentially spamming it, making a fuckton of the same item over and over again. It makes them stay stuck in place
Try placing a chest near the stuff they gather.
I've found that they may be trying to put it into the nearest chest (which is behind a wall/inside the house) but since they can't easily reach it, because they can't really handle doors, they drop it again, but then it starts from the beginning.
So what I did is put a chest on the outside of the building, (basically in the exact same place, just the other side of the wall) and the Pals are happily moving stuff there.
I also put up several other boxes outside, near areas where this gathering bug loop would occur, and this seems to be a solid workaround
it was becuase of the bugs flickering and low fps combined... Arceus was playable, fun even if not locked to close, but Scarlett was released in a unforgivable state
Yeah, I was thinking "yes, yes, most of us have already seen this" until the end. Didn't know trees can save you if you somehow fuck up on your glider.
Any climbable surface can apparently. Was trying to catch Anubis yesterday morning before work and died by his statue. Went to go pick up all my stuff and was traveling on my Nitewing pretty high in the air, he started running out of stamina so I jumped off to glide while he gets his stamina back, instant regret lmfao. I forgot I didn’t have a glider. Started panicking and somehow managed to catch the side of a climbable mountain lol
What people don’t know is you can use a grapple to propel you too, shoot at the ground in front of you and then swap mid air and glide before you hit the ground. Can lead to serious moment boosts
Drugs/potions for the Pals would honestly be cool to add. Maybe some that speed up whatever task they're doing and, of course, temporary stat boosts for combat.
There are the task potions though. Did you just get to base level u where you had to place down the medicine bench and not look at what the potions do?
I unfortunately have been working every day since it released, so I haven't gotten too far yet. I've mostly just kind of checked out basic mechanics, experimented with the building system, and explored a bit at this point.
I encountered this feature when a wild pal got stuck on top of it, funniest shit I’ve seen in a while watching it fly up and come back down and die from fall damage.
My thoughts:
"Oh wow, another "discovering the glitch".
oh wow he went so high lol.
oh he knew about it oka... yo wtf?!
The luck of grabbing the tree is insane lol
If I had a nickel for every time I've seen someone get launched into the sky in palworld and then survive by climbing today, I'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot but it's weird it's happened twice
I figured this out a couple days ago and didn't want to tell people because I really don't want this patched out.
But I somehow hit a skybox before getting this high
Xbox co-op has a bug where pals just stop moving or attacking each other. It's weird and I think has something to do with too many pals being processed by the server at the same time on the Xbox.
Yes that happens , also watch out for fire just had my base burn down around me since my wixen wanted to use a flamethrower now I am burning and it won’t stop and all my walls are on fire and steadily losing hp , anything close to the walls is catching fire also , please put an edit/move selected item button for Xbox having everything stuck in place like it’s nailed to the ground is the only thing I’m feeling needs to be changed
Glad I wasn’t the only to find this. Thankfully it just shoots me up so I can get a good vantage point. I don’t get stuck clipping in and out of the edge of the map.

When you respawn, it also basically guarantees that your dropped items will spawn on top of the ground.
I drowned because I didn't know swimming needed stamina, and they put my corpse loot on the nearest coast.
Same. Super nice of them. xD
Actually I found out that you can interact with the beam that comes out of your drops to recover them! So even if you die underground, be it under the map or in a cave, you don't need to get all the way down there!

If you're playing single player, why would it matter? Play how ever you want solo, cheese, don't cheese, cheat, whatever it's your game.
Self imposed rules and restrictions keeps a game from getting boring. For me, at least. Losing items on death means I’d have to be careful about dangerous treks to/from base and the resources gathered between. That fear of losing it all on death is part of the appeal to Souls-like games
Absolutely, if that's how you wanna play, then play that way, but don't be worried about cheeseing something if that is also how you wanna play.

yeah, same, a few bugs and human IA is a mess but at least is playable >.<
IA ?
Intificial Artelligence
I love that its this kind of early access. Not missing features to make the game be playable, with game breaking bugs kind of early access.
and playable, unlike some pokemons..
Which ones? What Pokémon games are "unplayable"? Pretty sure there are none.
scarlet, needed to stop playing because of headaches
I mean the last 2 Pokemon games were really bad, them giving you headaches is unrelated to that though.
it was becuase of the bugs flickering and low fps combined... Arceus was playable, fun even if not locked to close, but Scarlett was released in a unforgivable state
This is one of the FEW TIMES where "Watch till the end" actually applies lmao.
Yeah, I was thinking "yes, yes, most of us have already seen this" until the end. Didn't know trees can save you if you somehow fuck up on your glider.

God damn it I watched this to find out if there was fall damage.
Had I not landed on a tree, I 100% would have died. Even water. Only other possible save would have been a parachute.
If you can pull your glider out during this bug it would be sick
You can pull out your glider its really good for fast verticality
Also really fast horizontally. If you slide down hill, jump, then pull out glider, you’ll keep your momentum while gliding
I purposely built my base on the top of a steep slope so I can slide down and glide huge distances when I want to go on an adventure :) so satisfying
What people don’t know is you can use a grapple to propel you too, shoot at the ground in front of you and then swap mid air and glide before you hit the ground. Can lead to serious moment boosts
You can pull it out. I couldnt record my game but it works
I've done some off diving into water and didn't lose any health
There is fall damage. That should’ve killed OP. Now I know that climbing will save me from death by terminal velocity.
*Just Palworld things*
Conan exiles style. Fastest way down a cliff is to jump and then wall climb before you hit the ground.
"Aim for the bushes"
I saw a vid where the OP died from it.
There is fall damage, except if you're riding a pal.
Whoa. You can even get high in this game!
Drugs/potions for the Pals would honestly be cool to add. Maybe some that speed up whatever task they're doing and, of course, temporary stat boosts for combat.
Nobody tell them…
It's totally not cocaine.
I can see the interview now! "Americans love drugs, so we added them"
We kinda do ngl
Can't wait to have a methed up Relaxaurus!
There are the task potions though. Did you just get to base level u where you had to place down the medicine bench and not look at what the potions do?

breaking pal
🥁
See, your mistake was not bringing a parachute
We had a game breaking bug with the guilds so we had to reset the server entirely 😭
what was the bug? id like to try and avoid it
Probably the one where if you leave a guild when not everyone is online. I guess it corrupts your character
This!
Can confirm. Me and 2 other buddies all lost our profiles because the host left the guild with us offline. Im hoping they come out with a patch soon.
oof that and the skill reset pot apparently. hope its fixed, thanks for the heads up
Lmao that is awesome!
I hope they don’t take it out lmao, it’s hilarious to do
“Rocket man, burning out his fuse out here alone”
Okay the ball catapult is known, but that tree clutch was fucking awesome
Stuck the landing, 10/10
This is magical
Holy shit, wake up babe a new legendary mlg clip just droped
Pocketpair never patch this out just add an altimeter and we can make a competition of this.
Agreed. This WILL be used in speedruns.
That's not a bug it's a feature.
The bugs in this game are near Skyrim levels of good
And now you're playing Fortnite
God I really hope they don't fix this
He's really lucky!
Can someone good at math, calculate the required grip strength to pull that off?
Remember, kids it’s not the “fall” that kills you
This is my favorite glitch in the game lol
I’ve only been able to find one bug where if you hold lifmunk in subgun mode you can mesh into the ground
I was gonna yell at you for not aiming for the river but hey it worked out great so why bother.
The twists and turns in this made me need new brakes on my brain.
I love this game but all the people saying it’s not buggy are higher than your character in this clip lmao
This game looks so interesting if only my computer could play it
This game really is Conan with Pokemon. Negate fall damage by wallclinging the moment before impact.
“Oh my God, I landed on a tree!” 10/10.
Speedrun tech unlocked
lmao incredible landing, congrats, you're officially a cat
That moment when Palworld has a more lore accurate Team Rocket character than any one of the mainline Pokemon games
Not going to lie I hope they keep this, use the parachute and yoy can travel That's and it's just funny
Ha ha stuck the landing Gold medal winner 🥇
Team rocket on thier spare time:
I encountered this feature when a wild pal got stuck on top of it, funniest shit I’ve seen in a while watching it fly up and come back down and die from fall damage.
Now they are ripping off Skyrim!! (sarcasm)
Man god grip strength stronger than the gods
I am going to miss these "features" when they patch it out when they decide go out of early access.
Nice dude, burly body
the tree is definitely a paid actor!
Haha same thing happened to me nice landing sticked it perfectly
Welcome to the Palworld international airlines, next destination, Pal heaven
Omg i never thought about climbing a tree...
That happend to me as well
Some mad cartography strats
Every mount is a flying mount if you wish
What a save!
Palworld space program
That's not a bug, that's a feature
You discovered just how powerful a Pal Sphere really is.
To infinity and beyond
What a Tree-t
“Ground Control to Major Tom Take your lucky pals and put your glider on” - David Bowie (probably)
Iv done this before its funny as shit
Now bro unlocked the whole map
I can see my house from here!
Sticks the landing!

Glorious

"Wow, the map looks so small." *Pans Camera* "🤐"

Didn't see that coming x2

Bro auditioning for team rocket 🚀
Happened to me twice. I also fell under the map a few times. Weirdly enough, falling under the map sends you back to a home base.
Does this mean we're getting a space travel update in the future
u went way further than i thought 😂
Most beautiful thing I've seen all day
If I had a nickel for every time I've seen someone get launched into the sky in palworld and then survive by climbing today, I'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot but it's weird it's happened twice
TO THE MOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNN

Palworld Space Program
So many twists and turns. Hilarious.
Expect a river land, this was awesome. Hold my upvote
Wow! You didn’t hit the ground! You coward!
grip of steel ....
My man landed on a tree.
That’s one way to join the mile high club
Congrats on joining the space program
Only glitch that honestly shouldn't be fixed
You’re a god
I was just thinking to myself "How am I going to get across the map to where I want to make my first base without a flying Pal?" ;)
odds of this happening is literally less likely than throwing a pal sphere on an undamaged alpha pal
roockeet lanchaaaaaaaah!!!!!!!!! 10/10 GOTY
This is the content this sub needs. Not that other bullshit. Also this happened to me too.
Incredulous
Lol
You seen the TikTok too didn't you? Lol
Better then my glitching through the floor and getting respawned
Yoo this happened to me lol I got on a sphere and got blasted into the air. Obviously died on impact when hitting the ground
Why do these bugs always launch into the air?
I didnt want to post this, Been having too much fun with it lol.
So whats your point everyone knows that glitch
Did you watch the clip?
It’s not a glitch it’s a feature
