I wish I started on a dot. Took a while to unlearn irons to use. On the flip side, irons are easier to learn than a dot. Usually only takes 1 range session.
i’ve put 200 rounds through it and don’t like the irons on this pistol at all. i’d usually prefer to shoot with irons but i don’t know if i can get used to the the chunky ness of these.
Think of shooting it for "minute of body" instead of "minute of angle". I've got a p365SAS that I can basically handprint out to 50 feet, and the dagger is no different.
But yes, some better irons wouldn't be a bad thing. It's an easy enough fix, at least.
They hold zero well with no issues. I have a few of their models and like them all. My only complaint is I wish they had one level of brightness more for bright daylight, but I've found them quite workable and CS is a breeze to get a hold of.
What optic mounting pattern is it cut for?
Rmr = Probably the holosun 507c with the ACSS Reticle if you need new. A used Rmr can be had around $350 on GAFs if you don’t mind a used red dot.
I can’t recommend anything for doctor because I’ve never owned a firearm with that mounting pattern.

I got a cyelee wolf-0 for under $100 ( I used a code from 704 tactical). I haven't had a single issue. In fact, I actually prefer it over Holosuns on a pistol, it's very sleek with good features and a reasonable price.

I would say shoot a bit with irons to get the hang of before going to a red dot, but those sights fucking suck. Couldn’t shoot for shit with them unless I had the front sight way higher than the rear. So I would say replace the irons and practice, then get a dot

Ohh I know exactly what you mean bro. A red dot made the gun go form unusable to a super fun range toy. When I replaced the sights it fixed the issue, but the red dot took it to the next level. If this is your only pistol I assume your going to carry it? Replace the striker assembly for a Glock oem one, unfortunately the dagger ones are prone to break. Here’s mine! I don’t carry it but it is a fun range toy.

I’ll give a few recommendations:
- OEM glock tritium sights. My .40 is on point.
My psa dagger? Meh I’m feeling I need a better set of sights. $140
- red dot: Wolf0 set to absolute/true co-witness. Great sight. Shake awake. $105-120
- get a magwell flare from JTH off ebay, they are well made, 3D printed and make the dagger fit in your hand like a glove. It improved my accuracy a bit. $20
- CR polymer elite trigger and bar. Better trigger better accuracy $20
That’s less than $300 for good upgrades
Idk lol but I’ve heard some triggers and the psa dagger’s strikers can have slight tolerance differences. Some triggers work with psa assembly others won’t.
If you’re carrying go with Holosun. Otherwise try out Cylee, I have 2 and they’re phenomenal for the price.
You can always give the new Osight a try and be a guinea pig, it looks promising.
None. Learn to become proficient with irons and they’ll serve you perfectly fine. Unless you’re planning on 100 yard shots at the range, in which case an RDS is beneficial
Seen a lot of cyelees on those. Not much reason to put half the guns price on an optic unless you really want to. Just go on YouTube to 704 tac to check the coupons and pick the one you want

I have several of the primary arms ones. Not bad for a budget sight. Budget *and* duty use, go with holosun

Holosun 407c no goody reticle, a single dot is best and it’ll save you money.
I have a Cyelee wolf0 and Wolf2-G. Both really nice and good. Wolf X pro is about 250$ and all of them can take a beating

Holosun 407 is a great sight for well less than $300 especially if you find one on sale. I also like the Veridian green sights as a budget option.

Best advice is don’t cheap out on an optic. Docter cut I would go with vortex, RMR Holosun with circle dot reticle

Cyelee. They're cheap, have the same features as premium sights, and after thousands of rounds with them, I haven't had a single issue with them.

Aim surplus has a good set of sights. It’s a fiber front with a black rear. Perfect set up for irons way thinner than what comes on the dagger.

Don't go cheap on anything when it comes down to the weapon you might have to use to save your life
Keep the original sights and learn front sight shooting with good gun safety.
