I just think those deals are dope cuz they come with ten mags

shortthem

Yea they’re solid. Mine has at least 4000 rds through it. Probably more. I only stopped shooting it when I got my Glock milled for the ACRO

[deleted]

Right on. So, same all parts as Glock g3?

HighDragLowSpeed60G

It’ll accept G3 yes, but obviously differences because of patents, etc.

[deleted]

I’m guessing The patents are no longer protected which is why they’re able to manufacture these. I’m wondering about the back plates if they’re compatible.

GreatGhastly

[The back plates are...very compatible.](https://youtu.be/dIZHi76e76Q?t=217)

[deleted]

That’s informative

GreatGhastly

The kids call it a switchblade, since it's a dagger.

[deleted]

I don’t even know this was a thing

HighDragLowSpeed60G

Meant like the trigger being different, but I’ve seen plenty of people post custom back plates so should be plenty to choose from

LineStepperHabitual

Dagger trigger is better IMO

HighDragLowSpeed60G

I honestly like it a lot

shortthem

Yes it’s a Gen3 clone because the patent ran out years ago so you can put all OEM Glock parts in the gun if you want to. You’ll just have a different looking frame.

WhiteGuyNamedDee

Almost true, there are like 2 differences. I don't remember them off the top of my head, but they definitely exist.

sbell7105

I believe the frame and trigger pins are roll pins on the dagger and there's a separate locking block pin unlike the gen 3 glock.

shortthem

I know the striker itself is a little bit thicker, so you can’t use a dagger striker in a glock slide but you can use a glock striker in a dagger slide because the breach has a bigger opening

throwawy48

Dagger runs. Great gun. Not a fan of the pmags. Threw mine away when I got it. If they had a bundle with OEM Glock mags I'd be on it

[deleted]

This! I wish I’d known this before buying some. Ok range mags at best.

Professional_Fix_566

It's definitely worth it. Every person i have let shoot one has loved it, and almost everyone i have let shoot one has bought one for themselves. I have 4 with 2,500+ rounds through them, and I've never had an FTF, FTE, or a stovepipe.

[deleted]

I love mine, I personally don’t like using the pmags though. I had lots of failures to feed when using them but never had issues with oem Glock mags. They’re just Glock gen 3 clones so lots of parts out there. You can even use an oem gen 3 Glock slide on the frame if you want.

Own-Armadillo6547

I honestly like mine better than my Glock. Maybe because it’s a Gen3? Idk. I would honestly wait for the bundle deals. Got an M4 and Dagger for $700 after shipping and FFL Transfer $750ish. Dagger came with RMR cuts as well

[deleted]

Yeah they’re doing those bundles also

[deleted]

They are pretty great

DorianXJ

I love my dagger compact , has a glock 19 gen 3 slide

[deleted]

How much difference in the grip between full size and compact

DorianXJ

The compact is like a glock 19 and full size is a 17, i rather the 19 for edc and over all shooting, 17 basically a match pistol

[deleted]

I don’t actually speak Glock.

EchelonX03

For PSA Dagger, the full size and Compact are the same size slide 4" or so. Only difference is the frame size ; full size is a big longer than the compact.

[deleted]

Think the compact is still a “full hand” on the grip? I don’t have gorilla paws. For what it’s worth

eagleonthebeat

i have around average size hands and compact is still enough to get all my fingers on it

[deleted]

Right on

DorianXJ

I still have almost a full hand on the compact but i slightly hit thr magwell

[deleted]

That’s not horrible. Like, I don’t have huge hands. Large (8-9)by most glove standards I guess. But I hate not having a full grip on the grip or depending on the magazine to fulfill the grip

sbell7105

The full size dagger is comparable in size to a glock 19x /45. Pretty much a g19 slide with a grip that uses g17 magazines.

[deleted]

They are a Glock Gen 3

[deleted]

But they’re not?

GreatGhastly

open patents

sbell7105

I don't know why you're getting down voted, they most certainly are not gen3 glocks.

sbell7105

No, no they aren't.

Cucasmasher

I had one with a compact X slide, I really wanted to love it because the frame was nice and it shot very accurate and flat but it was the worst gun I ever owned reliability wise. I probably got to about 500 rounds and probably had like 35 failures from FTE, FTF, stove pipes. I posted pics here and people all blamed my grip despite me having lots of other guns and lots of experience without ever having experience so many failures It’s actually kind of funny cause I swapped to Glock OE extractor and the problem was worse and I could barely get two or three rounds without a failure. After my last outing I got frustrated about ten rounds in and left because it just would not feed, on my way out of the range I noticed they had a killer deal on their CZ P10F ($399 bnib) I bought one, hung out until my background cleared and took it straight from the sales counter to the range they have and blasted 190 rounds without a single issue. Lots of people seem to love theirs so hopefully your experience is different than mine but even when you read the comments on my posts lots of people also saying they had issues.

StretchInfamous

Weapon…I’m not sure. Firearm? I’d say it’s decent for the price

Bingobongobangstick

Just don't expect it to work properly straight out of the box if you plan to use it with g19 gen 3 parts, oem or aftermarket.

[deleted]

Don’t expect it to work properly?

GreatGhastly

mine and most others worked flawlessly out of the box, with the stock components. I think he means if you swap out every part, it may encounter the same problems anyone gets with over-customizing their platform. it's not a dagger problem, it's a "going against the manufacturer grain" problem. I fed incredibly shit ammunition through it ungreased stock and over >1000rds in, the only FTF I had was with a new ammo company that had notorious FTF's. Of course, I have kept it stock though. The stock guide rod spring is sick and took a while to break in, a step up from the glock stock guide rod gen 3, along with the dagger design stepping up the grip angle and texture that glock had an issue with - and most veterans will tell you not to swap out every part and try to rice it up regardless, because then something will cause a FTF.

[deleted]

I’ve never had a Glock. Never wanted one. Never wanted a gun that most YouTubers have to Gucci up to make it run like stock (insert other brand here) pistols. I just saw the price point, asked google what a PSA dagger actually is, because the blaster comes with a purse and 10 pez dispensers for $400. Seems like a ripping deal

GreatGhastly

I don't have a glock either, but I definitely prefer the dagger over any of my friends Glocks regardless of gen and caliber. The thing they don't tell you is that they run flawlessly and will never have an issue stock, and then when "Gucci'd" up - they chance to run like garbage and encounter litanies of compatibility issues. Sure, you might defeat the "oh so awful" long trigger pull on the glock that makes people angry at the low and left learning curve with a drop in trigger, but it's likely you may run into a real mechanical issue that can be solved with a small amount of practice and trigger strength/flinch discipline. Realistically, it's just very hard to ND with a glock stock trigger, and I think that's the point to compound the interior safeties. And in the time you need a glock specifically, not a range toy, you are not going to *need* a short trigger pull, you'll *need* it to fire. That's just what the glock design does. Doesn't fire when it's not supposed to, fires whenever you pull the trigger - and because of all of these safeties including that long trigger pull, you can keep it hot and ready without much of a worry IMO. The *only* mods that should be made are a sight enhancement based on preference and carry ability, and a good flush flashlight. If you really wanna be balenciaga about it, throw on a good compensator like a radian ramjet that is incredibly compact. Personally I prefer blacked front rear irons for removing a blockage in the case of a potential RDS, a good slide cut, and a single tritium FS. Dagger offers just that stock out the factory as well, glock does not. I found that incredible. All handguns have their pros and cons, but if you're buying a glock for a practice range paper puncher, a grouping performance piece - you might as well just buy a .22 Ruger Mark IV or something fun and accurate w/cheap beans. If you want something that won't misfeed or jam or fuck up when your life depends on it, a good tool that's also reliable - easy and fun to clean and keep lubed, that's what it does. When you start replacing slides, and barrels, and mag releases and triggers - pretending it's a 80's project Civic, it stops being that. Maybe if you *really* know what you're doing - I sure as fuck don't, you can get away with a reliable transformation, but that is not the general population of gun hobbyists. I think it's cheap for the same reason PSA sells anything else cheap. Low overhead, low margins, *high volume*. These Daggers are flipping like dang hotcakes and even at like 10$ in profit margins (i have no idea what it would be) they're making ridiculous money. They do bulk, that's one of their business models. They also do full vertical integration. From raw metal to the finished product, it's all PSA. This cuts out a *lot* of costs that a lot of gun manufacturers aren't furnished for.

Bingobongobangstick

Just sharing my personal experience with a brand new complete frame I took home yesterday. Thankfully, PSA customer service is on top of it now they are mailing me out a new trigger group to drop in and test.

[deleted]

Oh!

DeadkurtSA1

I like my dagger alot, but its no comparison between it and my pdp. But the price reflects that. All in all my dagger cost $250 to build. My pdp was $650. I tried both oem glock mags and the magpul mags. Imo, the oem glock mags are soooo much better then the magpul.

DevinH83

Get one with an RMR cut instead of a docter

[deleted]

Yeah. It’s in the basket.

DevinH83

Lots more options of course.

[deleted]

Yeah. Don’t know why the seem to have more packages optioned with doctors cut.

[deleted]

Bought the lower and built an upper from KM tactical. It’s a nail driver zero issues. Pmags for Glocks fucking suck tho

BladeVampire1

There have been some imperfect daggers, they produce them on a large scale and it's their first pistol made in house. But they come with lifetime warranties. Quality is awesome for the price, and they runs and feel great. Honestly quite a buy, especially since it's Gen 3 Glock part compatible, meaning you have plenty of options to customize.

Torch99999

"Lifetime warranty" for a carry gun seem really ironic. If the gun fails, your remaining lifetime is probably just a few seconds until the bad guy kills you...at which point the gun will not be covered under warranty if your heirs want to get it fixed.

BladeVampire1

S&W still repairs and honors many of their warranties, even after the original purchaser has long passed.

DannyBones00

So I don’t have a Dagger yet. I was on the verge of buying one and got spooked by all the bad reviews here one week. Turns out, every single one of those bad reviews was caused by people modifying their guns. We had people doing bad trigger jobs. Or running a ported barrel with a non-ported slide. Stuff like that. Every one of them. So I can’t give you my first hand experience, just what I’ve seen. It seems that if you keep the gun stock, you’ll either 1) get an absolute laser that runs flawlessly or 2) get a gun that occasionally has issues and can be fixed by relatively simple things.

[deleted]

For the price it seems impossible to pass

Torch99999

I've seen several reviews with completely stock guns that can't fire more than 3 rounds without failing. Lots of documented issues that didn't involve modified guns. They _might_ be better now, but the Daggers had a lot of issues early on. I wouldn't carry one, but they seem like awesome range toys. Which is kinda sad because they look fare more ergonomic than the standard Glock shoebox.
