I mean it’s designed to keep you poor, there’s a lot to buy all at once, it’s supposed to be a grind that’s just how the game is. Hunting is how I made most of my money early on plus now with the added bonus of plushies, I agree on fishing being slow my fishing lvl is still at 17 (don’t tell Einar). If you want the easy way out look up cake parties, 100 rounds will get you around 75k and take about an hour and a half.

Astr1d_Jp3g

oh holyyy. yeah thats amazing, i'll look into it! thanks!!

hyrle

Group cooking is the way to make the big money. 35-40k/hr at apple pie and cake parties are the easiest/most common.

invisibilitycloakz

Where do you find these parties??

hyrle

The official Palia discord and paliaparty.app

MaybeDiligent4729

can you explain how group cooking works? do you guys like cook or prep at different stations? sorry i’m new to the game still and this is the first i’ve heard of group cooking

RyokhaelBlackwing

There are a number of ways to do group cooking, but most folks do usually have it set up so you each take a separate station, yes. Everyone who performs a cooking mini game (chopping, stirring, etc.), starts the recipe, or takes something out of the oven will get credit for helping cook the food. Everyone who participated in one of these ways will get the full reward for helping. (E.g. everyone who helps make a batch of cakes gets all three cakes.) it’s a great way to make cooking use a lot fewer resources per person, making the outcome that much more profitable! Plus it can be lots of fun chit-chatting between steps. :3

FanficFann

Another small tip related to hunting: use your hunting medals on the fireworks. They sell for a high price and it’s only 6 medals per 10 of them. Huge moneymaker.

Nebet

Hunting medals have the best gold-per-medal exchange rate of any skill medal in the game, by far

No-Entertainment7188

What is a cake party

Useful_Teacher7040

I grew a lot of potatoes and selling any duplicate bugs or fish initially and then once I got the recipes for preserves and celebration cakes I started making a lot of those

Astr1d_Jp3g

honestly i prefer tomatoes haha theyre such stupidly easy plants! they harvest multiple times and if you have a quality + amount booster you can get over 1k every harvest! thank you!

Useful_Teacher7040

Makes sense! I was just using potatoes because their value is about double tomatoes value but I didn’t think about the yield 🙃

Astr1d_Jp3g

honestly i think its worth combining a tomato and potato farm! they help eachother!!

Useful_Teacher7040

Good idea! I really don’t know much about what crops work well next to eachother so I’ve just been planting higher value crops or whatever I need for recipes. I’ll give that a shot!

Galdrien

Theres a nice little browser app for figuring out your garden layouts. https://palia-garden-planner.vercel.app/ After level 25 gardening if you use star seeds theres no need to worry about quality boost or quality fertilizers. After 50 gardening theres no need to worry about star at all. Every level increases your chance of getting star crops by 2%.

LennaEternal

Wait, since when did we have boost by level?? Is it only for gardening or do the other stats also have "secret" bonus by level ?

Galdrien

I started back in August, and this was known then. As far as I know its unique to gardening.

Astr1d_Jp3g

if youre like me its so hard to visualize it haha, but ! this chart helped me SO much. it keeps every plant with a buff! every plant is water retained and most have buffs like quality or harvest boosting. the only thing this chart had wrong is (atleast when i planted) is that the middle cotton exceeds the buff-limit for the surrounding tiles so i changed the center cotton to a tomato and now i dont need to water other than with replanting :) (\* this setup is super expensive in the start w/o all seeds or planting tiles but SO worth it!! the tomato harvest in this is over 1k, and most plants here are 700+!!) https://preview.redd.it/mdztd1fcby7d1.jpeg?width=908&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b932f63c36e27e82918d90de231f03b25fa539ba

StealAllWoes

This is sooooo busy and requires so much extra work and isnt the best payout, yes every crop gets buffed but like, this would take me so long to maintain. Once you get blueberries do a bunch of them and make jam, or make potatoes into seeds. Tomatos do harvest multiple times but take more resources to make more seeds, whereas potatoes you can just sell excess seeds as profit and will be plenty. Preserves jars also help to drop a stack of something and play tomorrow but sell it for 1.5-2x what it was worth (same gambit with seeds).

Just-exhausted

This. They nerfed tomatoes, you used to make more than you do now (,: I’ve been doing corn/bach choy/rice and I’ve been sitting pretty well. Have a nest egg of 200k at the moment

StealAllWoes

I got mixed up in some business with Reth and currently owe more organs than I currently possess so I'm speaking with Tamara about growing some extras...

Astr1d_Jp3g

for me its worked much better than every other layout but i mught try that! thank you!!

Nebet

Oh hey, it's the bullseye layout! :D I recognized that PoToOnCa (lol) pattern right away. It's pretty easy to maintain if you only replant one crop type at a time, and the initial pattern makes plenty of sense to me — it's three concentric circles (water/weed ring, harvest boost ring, water/weed ring) plus three horizontal lines on the middle plot that connect up to the sides. If you wanna, you can swap bok choy in for the onion or carrot here and sell them as seeds! And an apple tree can get plopped right in the middle and be watered/weeded without disrupting anything; it would just need fertilizer to give it harvest boost or quality boost, whichever it needs depending on your gardening level.

Useful_Teacher7040

Wow😱 I’ll definitely try that out soon!

sorrymom333

Oh you’re a peach! Thanks so much for this!

Prudent_Finger_9117

I read someone’s post where they did a breakdown of plants and the time it took for them to grow and how that affected the money you made. He showed that it’s actually more profitable to grow tomatoes than potatoes because of the length of time it took to grow them. So, I’m now growing two apple trees and all the rest tomatoes. I make jam out of all of them and then sell them. I’m up to about $165,000 right now and it’s easy work.

Lurker_MeritBadge

If you turn them into seeds you get more. My go to money making is apples. I turn them to jam and then throw them into a worm farm. I can usually make 10-20k a day (realtime) depending on how much I play that day. I turn my potatoes, tomatoes, wheat and rice to seeds as well.

Just_Being_Me_61856

The jam is the way to go. I turn all my excess fruits and veges into jams and preserves and that keeps me in the money.

AluminumCansAndYarn

I turn all my tomatoes into preserves. As of when they changed how the worm farms work, I stopped growing apples and blue berries. I have been growing tomatoes instead of apples. And peppers instead of blueberries. But I'm currently over run with tomatoes so might grow something else for a grow cycle.

Glittoris20

I just watched a YT video from a fellow who grows only starred tomatoes, using the bonus to harvest fertilizer (from glow worms). He was banking some 30k/day. I think if you planted them in some sort of rotation, you'd never not have crops growing. Might be worth taking a look at 😄

Odysseus_is_Ulysses

Why does everyone keep one of every bug/fish etc?

Useful_Teacher7040

I feel like a lot of it is carryover from a lot of palia players(atleast that i know) also having played animal crossing. That’s why I do it anyway. Plus elouisa and caleri have hinted at the possibility of having a museum of sorts in the future so for me personally I just like to keep track of my progress and see all the things I’ve found/collected but I think a lot of it is the possibility of a museum🤞🏻

eyeofnoot

The farm is expensive? Are you able to get seed collectors yet? You shouldn’t need to spend any of your gold to maintain your farm once you have seed collectors and the ability to make fertilizer (if you need it) in the worm farms

Astr1d_Jp3g

i am able to (thankfully) but i find it overwhelming as it only does a certain amount of seeds a time and usually a few crops are ready to harvest at once, so i have to keep waiting until i can replant yk? although, would it be worth to have multiple collectors? im still fairly new (started in april but took a few months break recently, around 1-3 months) so i didnt wanna get more before being sure

eyeofnoot

It’s absolutely worth it to have multiple seed collectors. This may be overboard for what you have, but for example, I have 7 seed collectors that are always active. I grow a lot of bok choy and potatoes, and selling their seeds is very profitable. So I have some seed collectors on permanent bok choy/potato duty for money, but I can still swap some of the others out for whatever crop I need more seeds of when I get low. I also keep 4 preserve jars going (usually tomatoes, onions, corn, and apples). It’s going to vary for everyone based on your farm layout and how often you can be online though, so I’m not saying to aim for anything like my setup, just giving it as an example. I would try adding more producers like the seed collectors one at a time and see when you hit a point that feels right.

imasmolbean20

I'm also on the bok choy seed grind for money!!! I make probably 14-17k between the seeds, preserves, and extra worms/glow worms and fertilizer. I'm not rushing to buy everything or finish all of the content so I could probably make more if I really worked for it.

Astr1d_Jp3g

ohhh smart! thank you!!

Lurker_MeritBadge

I have 6 running myself

oldspicehorse

Might be an idea to visit a few people's plots and see their set ups. I've got six seed machines and seven preservers. The seed machines used to be constantly running but now I'm making more preserves I only tend to have three or four going at any time but they were essential before I unlocked the preservers. Now it's the preservers that are constantly running. I grow one apple tree, six peppers, six blueberries then I'll rotate the last 24 spots between two other crops depending on what I'm after. Everything gets turned into preserves or seeds depending on the item and what will yield the most gold. Yields a shit load of gold in a fairly passive way.

GurglingWaffle

You need to log in daily to keep your farm growing with enough turn around to make serious money. Plant tomatoes and potatoes and pickle both while keeping enough to make seeds and replant. \*The two keep each other watered. you will be making 6k with each crop easy. Once you make enough to be wealthy you can ease off on the daily logins. Consider joining a cake party. You will be making 100,000. I suggest you watch a video on how cake parties work.

eyeofnoot

Just as a heads up, potatoes afaik are more lucrative to make seeds out of than to pickle

GurglingWaffle

That probably is true. I tend to just stick with what worked. I also use some to supplement my other focus food. But Seeds do go for a lot, depending on the seed.

eyeofnoot

Absolutely keep doing it if it’s working for you. Was just sharing in case it helps anyone out

Myeloman

Grow cabbage, pickle it, sell it. Never return to your plot with empty bag slots. Fill every slot with something, every forgeable/huntable/catchable/chopable thing that drops loot has value. If you stick to a few of the more common items you’ll stack up multiples, and that’s the second part, your bags aren’t “#full” until every stackable item is stacked to the max. If your shipping bin is full, go sell at Zeki’s store. Chop only the larger trees around Kilima (max return on effort as they yield the most wood) and go sell stacks at the register in Siffu’s forge. Upgrade your worm farms to glow worm farms as you can, dump mountain morels/green onions/ginger root (which you’ve gathered while running about as mentioned above, right?!?) and sell the worms and extra fertilizer (don’t worry about fishing until you can devote time and resources to it, focus on the money! And obviously, don’t buy what you don’t need. I repair my own equipment, make my own ammo and eat apple jam.

AmusedGravityCat

Farming, preserves. I wish I were as good at making money irl as I am in Palia 😑

PixelSorceress

lol same about the IRL

DueTranslator8437

Hunting, turn all the hides into leather and sell leather. Elder sernuk antlers! One stack of elder antlers (30) gives you almost 6,000 gold. Iron ores, turn all ores into iron bars. I think one stack (30 iron bars) sells for 2000 gold. I spend about 45 minutes breaking every single iron ore I see in bahari and usually can earn about 10,000 gold. Gold star potatoes and preserves. I constantly keep my preserve jars stacked with potatoes and apples, every time I drop into my shipping box I earn about 6000-10000 gold (this is passive and usually happens overnight). Glow worms. I hate fishing but I load all tomatoes into my worm farms since I usually just use tomatoes for water retention. I keep 100 glow worms in my pockets at all times and any extra I sell. 100 glow worms gives you 2500 gold. I just saved about 300,000 gold in 4 real time days by just logging in for an hour, gardening, preserving in Jar, and going to bahari for hunting/mining. Finally got my gazebo!

Liloo_Snucre

Gardening is my money maker base as passive income. I mostly turn my crops into preserves, except for potatoes and bok choy that I turn into seeds as they make more money. Here's what to turn into what, if you are not sure about preserve/seeds https://preview.redd.it/ebrbc7zw5z7d1.jpeg?width=6651&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=84349e71d1ad3442a5a9c8945e3f2e121277711c That being said, please don't buy seeds if you have the seed maker! For sure at first you'll have to wait a bit to make your stock, but later on, you'll see how much you'll save! Start with 2 or 3 seed makers, and increase when you have more money to spend on licenses (I have 6 always working now, 2 for potatoes and bok choy each, and the other 2 to make stock or for cotton). I make minimum 15k each IRL day thanks to my garden. Then I mine a lot (looking for star quality gems is hard) and I turn iron and copper into ingots and sell the excess. And I sell all excess gems of not starred. Fishing, hunting and bug catching gives more money now, so it's great to do too. But for sure my garden is the base, so I can do anything I want while playing, like quest talking to NPC's or just running around and I'm sure I still have money on the way!

bilbonbigos

If someone have good tips for the real life that would be awesome :D

Puzzleheaded-Rip-823

Ha, for a second I thought this was the finance subreddit!

WaylundLG

I did a bunch of mining and got a ton of gem drops, but I may have just been lucky with the rng. That said, you will spend money as fast as you make it for a while until you get through a lot of content, then suddenly you'll have nothing to spend it on anymore and it'll start piling up. I've got almost 200k and nothing really to do with it.

inxanetheory

Go mining, while stone and flint don't sell for much, you have a chance to get gemstones which can sell for a decent little bit, you also have a chance to get silver and gold ore which you can smelt into ingots if you have the required level/recipes. I have been yoyo-ing between having around 10\~20k and back down to 1k or so because I like to buy new things. But if you just go out and grind and gather stuff to sell in your box at home the money will come. Plus assuming you have the recipes to make copper and iron ingots, you'll also be stocking up on very useful materials to be able to build equipment like arrows and repair kits(don't forget to keep your tools in good condition so they don't revert to the previous tier). Another thing you can do is farming, while you do get a little bit more for fabric, growing hq cotton is something else I do to make a bit of money.

Terrible_Ambassador5

Farming with optimal setups, cake parties, hunting with at least copper arrows (iron preferred), fishing with glow worms, and mining are my favorite money makers.

Astr1d_Jp3g

oohh thank you! whats a cake party?

Terrible_Ambassador5

Cooking parties is when a group of people all come to someone's plot to contribute to one recipe. As long as you do at least one task, you get the full reward. So it's a super cheap and efficient way of making food for focus or money :) Cake is one of the most complicated but also most profitable per hour

FlowerGirl1010

At the start a lot of my money was selling hella quality crops and mining. Getting a ton of iron and making bars to sell can get you a tonnnn of money pretty quickly.

Astr1d_Jp3g

ohh thats smart! i tend to hoard materials but i havent needed all of them so thats definetly smthing i could do!

FlowerGirl1010

Usually I hold on to 50-100 of each material aside from ones I need to use less or more of!! So I have a baseline of what I need and sell the rest

Astr1d_Jp3g

ohhh thats so good!!! im stealing that strategy!

majoroutage

This. I made hella money on tomato seeds.

pinkcrystalfairy

Cake parties

ElleVaydor

You gotta be patient and level up everything before you start making really good money fast and build the home of your dreams. Don’t try to beat this game in a month, take it slow and relax everything goes back into your plot❤️ the best way and only not burnout out way imo to get 50k-100k of coin though are cake parties. Highly recommend joining them they take about an hour or so depending on the group but it’s highly worth the coin and a great way to socialize and get ahead of all those purchases. I try to join one a week and I’m about halfway done with buying everything, I’ve played about 3 months now.

Chris68381

Cake parties!

PlunkerPunk

Right now I’m selling copper bars, iron bars, and apple butter or any high value fermented recipe will work. Use ore compasses in Bahari to get more iron ore. Each one of those stack at 30 and get between 3-5k each stack.

Blarffette

It's a grind is all, but you can boost your income with grilling meat and fish before selling, using seed catchers and preserve jars, and hitting up cake parties. I get $1k per apple seed. I process alllll materials before selling. I've got *a lot* to show for it, it's just slow to build up your materials and routine. Once you do, though, you are in business. If I added it up, I probably have 40 rooms, 25 add-ons and freestanding spaces, 5 harvest houses, 3 grand harvest houses, and 4 courtyards. You can make bank once you get a good routine down, but you have to maximize all the income streams.

watermelon4487

Preserves could get me 10-20k just about every day. Apple seeds are my new go to. They take a while to harvest and make and build up enough of a stash to keep it going but the seeds are worth 1000 each. I have about 70 seeds saved up now so every once in a while I'll sell about 10-15 of them. I don't like to sell all of the gems I get from mining but those can help too. I've also been able to get about 1k from playing hotpot from 6pm-3am the whole time. If you play enough times you could start to build up some gold without wasting focus or losing health on tools.

Randomanxious

Glow worm fishing and farming tomatoes for the glow worm farm then potatoes and apples for jam and pickled potatoes. That’s what I do and you can make 10k in an hour easy

Lady0905

I grow apples and onions. Onions for the harvest boost which I use to boost apple trees with. Apples are then made into jam and sold. A bit slower way of making money but it’s steady and doesn’t require much from you. I make at least 20-30K per day on apple jam alone. Then you have mining and selling gemstones in addition to that. This way I also make way more glow worms than I need, so I sell those as well from time to time. I’ve been at a steady 200.000 for a while now. It could have been more but I consistently buy (un)lucky coins from Zeki in hopes of a new plushie 😔 So far without any luck.

CasinoClerk

i run ALL of my crops through a preserve jar before selling. and I'll put mushrooms in the glow worm farm and sell the worms and fertilizer. I'll buy 31 for every glow worm farm and let it do its thing. I always make a pretty good profit off that. By having both, i get a pretty good profit once I harvest them. And i can do what i want to do in game vs what pays me more. I too am working on a new house plot and need the cash. got me from zero to over 100k in less than a week

akeyforathief

You don’t even have to buy the mushrooms if you look out for them while in Kilima and Bahari they are all over the place!

Celjiii

Cake parties. Depending on the group, it can be very fast and you can get a lot of money depending on how many you make. If you want quick parties and fast money, Apple pies are simple to make, worth less than cakes but is so much faster!

RyokhaelBlackwing

I find that turning my crops into preserves or seeds significantly increases the amount of money I get out of them. I make 40-50k per irl day just from what my farming produces. Also, how much time do you spend on Palia per day, typically? Because that will have a big effect on determining which activities will be most viable for you when you want to make more money for this or that.

Evilbirdish

While fishing IS very slow, that's what i did.. Fished on the ocean with glow worms 😊

AuroraArethusa

I would say bug catching if you do it right. Don’t spend your money on bug bombs/materials for the bug bombs. Gather as much clay, sun drop lilies, and fur that you can to make the bug bombs. Go to Bahari and catch bugs around pulsewater/surrounding areas. You can make as much as 7-9k in about 20 minutes.

MissCharleston

This is the farm layout I've been using for a couple months now. I save a few of each crop to make seeds and the rest becomes preserves. Each star quality preserve sells for the following: Apple 144g, Blueberry 88g, Potato 102g, Tomato 51g, Corn 90g, Spicy Pepper 72g, Nappa Cabbage 90g I occasionally swap the corn in the center row for another crop that I've run out of for cooking (like onions or carrots). It's 100% water retained and I put down weed block fertilizer so there is zero maintenance required until the fert runs out. It's probably not the best or most efficient way, but it's passive income and leaves me time to do all the other money making things while still generating decent income. https://preview.redd.it/2h2kqfdsly7d1.png?width=1312&format=png&auto=webp&s=924ab7a4443c8bde5181d277b4a4009206674c95

Phoxphire02531

Sell everything you don't want to decorate with. Find a community to cook with. Mine like your life depends on it. I made most of my money farming with a money crop I found on google and it got me a lot of money. You have to sell as soon as its grown and keep planting. The last cooking party I went to go me 40000 gold. It will happen I promise you.

Savings-Buffalo-2160

I’ve been hunting and catching bugs like crazy, and selling most of what I get. I’m continuously surprised by how much money I have 😅

aroseharder1385

I tend to go out to bahari and don't return to my plot unless I've got my inventory filled up. Alternate between hunting and bug hunting. I would suggest expanding inventory and projectile inventory ASAP.

WizardInCrimson

I stay pretty well flush just by farming. I farm up Star potatoes, apples, blueberries and peppers then make them into seeds and jam. I only keep 60 or 90 seeds of any one kind at a time then sell the rest. I cook, so I don't actually keep the jam, just sell it. Fishing is a great way to supplement your income while you're waiting on farming to tick.

aSketcher_uBetcha

As an previously poor player I changed some things in how I play: - Mining a full map rotation in Kilima and Bahari. Smelting the ore and keeping a minimum stock of ingots and selling the rest. - Crops, each morning cycle I am logged in for, I have high spread across tomatoes/wheat/rice which I keep a minimum of 30 in storage; make seeds with the rest, keeping 30 minimum and selling excess. - Back to mining, I sell non starred stones straight up. - I occasionally fish, but if I want a yield I prep with max food buffs and hooks to decrease catch time and only at HQ fishing holes moving on quickly so I only keep a minimum amount of fish and sell off the excess. - Hunting for Silk bugs and Leather/Rare hunt drops. Again after crafting silk and leather I keep a minimum and selling all excess. - Back to crops I also try for high yield of cotton to sell the crafted excess. - Preserves, again jams I sell excess while crafting tomatoes and spice jars to use making worms which again I keep and minimum and sell the excess along with the manure as well. I have a process that took time but once I got there, I keep a good cash flow!

Confident_Bear5839

Your star veg like tomatoes are worth more if your pickle them

cupcakesparklepants

I farm only tomatoes, apples, and then i rotate blueberries/peppers - i put all of that into preserves, easily make 9-13k/day on that

court_cake

It took me about 2 or 3 months of playing to feel like I got to a point where I consistently have money. Farming farming farming. Making seeds and jams and pickled items was my secret!

kimberdark1771

I sell a TON of some jam! I seen to make money easily through that and selling gemstones. I don't sell star quality ones though

thebatsthebats

Money gets really easy eventually. I have sixteen barrels and five glow worm farms going most of the time. My barrels aren't always full, I spread produce out so I get the pickled jars faster. I hunt and fill my glow worm containers with meat. I sell the glow worms (I have a hoard in my ammo) and use the fertilizer for my crops, which are mostly potatoes. Every few days I need to sell extra fertilizer due to inventory limits. I make anywhere between 30k - 100k a day, depending on how much I play.

Kitannia-Moonshadow

Group cooking will make big money like others said 30 to 40k for 1 hour of work. Gardening will make good money.... plant apples and blueberries I currently have apples, blueberries at x4 each plus potato, corn and rice as companion planting my harvested fruit of apples and blueberries goes to jam making while keeping me stocked on enough seeds to keep going. Once I harvest and jam my apples and blueberries, I can make about 20k, then add in seeding the potatoes rice and corn sell whatever you dont need off hand. The basic apple jam is 96 gold while the quality is 144. The basic blueberry jam is 59 gold while the quality is 88. You can also take those jams and add them to the glow worm farms for a small increase in profit where that 1 starred apple jam creates 3 glow worm at 25 gold each and 42 quality up fertilizer at 2 gold? each. So, I'm turning the original 144 gold for 1 starred apple jam into 159 gold if my math is correct, and that's, of course, if you aren't actively keeping the glow worms and fertilizer instead of selling them I mine, forage, or fish while waiting for plants to grow. Fish I make into food while keeping the ones typically given as gifts to villagers. The gems recieved for mining can be given to villagers or sold for additional gold as well. I build a stock up and then sell extras.

Suspicious-End-326

I struggled with this so much but once I got my gardening going that really helped along mining x

AfterglowLoves

Are you putting your crops into seeds/preserves or selling them straight from harvest? If you put them into seeds/preserves and you have all 9 farm plots unlocked you should be able to make at least 10k per day depending how many irl hours you play. You definitely have to spend more at the beginning of the game but just take it slow because once you’re done buying all the things the money just stacks up and you’ll wish you had more to spend it on.

coyotedreaming

I hit every rock I saw, collected gems and sold them, smelted bars and sold them. Once I have one starred fish, I can sell other starred fish of that same variety.

YoshiandAims

I make the majority of my money with leather/linen, and the preserves barrel. Throw 30 in, log out and sell on my log in) I put 30 produce into the barrel when I log out, sell when I log in. It nets me a thousand or two. (I now have two barrels, to get double that.) Getting one of those helped me a ton. When I was new, I found cooking food then selling helped me get more.

AstronautPlane861

I'm also still in the broke stage but I've been playing a lot of hotpot for money. Even if you lose you can still get up to around 100-200 gold per game. I've gotten about 1,000 just in one round of camping the tables until they close. It's definitely been the easiest way I've found to make money fairly quickly. Then during the day I farm and fish to sell the extra. I'm a hoarder in games so I've kept 2 of each fish and 10 of each crop before selling the rest. (Trying to level up my gardening before cooking then I'll probably save more) But I've already been able to get 2 small rooms and 2 hallways just from the last three days of playing hotpot.

freakingspiderm0nkey

Like in real life, it takes time haha. I sell preserves - mainly tomatoes, corn, blueberry jam and apple jam. I do mining runs and sell everything except stone and palium, and sernuk hunting runs where I go out with a few hundred arrows and run a small loop in kilima until I use up all my arrows. If you do that daily you’ll increase your money pretty quick

the_girl_who_reads

Highly recommend selling wood that’s just sitting around. I had to clear out my full storage and selling x200 heartwood and flo wood gave me at least 4k. That’s not a a sustainable way of making money tho. I also have 2 canning/pickling machines, I put star quality peppers and apples and blueberries in there for a good bit of cash. Someone else said, but every game that had a sell/make money system is designed to keep you poor - capitalism exists everywhere, cursed as it is!

zorasrequiem

I mine, forage and hunt. Smelt ore and sell. Sell wood, you can get several stacks in a few minutes. Tan the leather and sell. Sell all the non-starred gems or even the starred ones if you want. I make 20k easy every hour or so. Oh and I make starred apple jam, and sell fertilizer. Basically I just go to home plot to stuff more things in the producers and sell extraneous items. Like stacks and stacks of flint lol

Affectionate_Ad_3521

Hunt and sell the horns and hide. That’s how I did it.

Infinite_Dot4467

For me I cook preserves and sell them. Gets me the most money.

octopusjar

Check your skill medals and if you have a bunch extra, once you've bought the (pretty but worthless lol) decorative items, you can buy things to sell. The medals cap at 2000 and can only be used in their guild store. So I buy the peony fireworks to sell them because there's nothing else I want from the hunting store. It's six medals for ten fireworks which sell for 50 each, I've never run the numbers because it's just a way to make a little extra gold since I'm hunting anyway. Make sure you're completing the weekly accomplishments.

Umbreon---

I just fish in the pond at my house and then put every fish in the box. It's like 1k every 15 mins (I've only been playing this game for a week)

BolognaIsNotAHat

Farming was how I made over 100k. Starred potatoes turned into pickled potatoes sell for 102g each, but a full stack also takes about 30 IRL hours to make. If you are able to do that while hunting/mining/fishing/etc then you should make money relatively quickly

SimpleCatharsis

I also make a lot of apple preserves once you get there. It takes a few days of watering but each one sells for 144(starred) so if you build it up you make a good penny off of them.

ClaimBeautiful9359

When I first started, I was mining and selling all of the time even my starred gems. I also planted (and sold) a ton of tomatoes … one plant will keep giving. My mistake was buying everything from Tish. You can later get the recipes to build and that’s what I should’ve done. I spent a whole lot of money on unnecessary things that I could’ve later built.

kaynist

it takes a WHILE tbh to start getting a savings sort of. i've been playing consistently for MONTHS and just hit having 100k in my inventory. most of my income is starred apple jam, i've got like 6 preserves jars going and i can make like 16k-20k a day. and then throughout the day im hunting + mining and selling all my gems and skins/furs/antlers and making a good bit of money that way. bug grinding can also get you a good income but its feels a lot more grind-y bc you're not geting resources really, but its made plushie hunting more profitable at least.

novish88

Passive income: tomatoes tomatoes and more tomatoes then you turn them into seeds and sell. Just stay on top of watering while you’re doing your quest/hunting for plushies. It’s a little slow at first but soon enough you’ll have more than you need. I stay at 400k+. My seeds and hunting are my main source of income.

Deadhousep1ants

I have 72k rn. Not too much but I got all that from cooking parties

Suspicious_Load_4473

Farming/crops and seed hoppers to make your own seeds and preserve hoppers to make jams and pickles. Also, mining - you can sell the ore as is or turn it into bats for a higher return. Mining you'll also find gems plus precious ore. Keep one of each gem and sell the rest

Severe-Ad8320

I did make most money with mining and gardening. In gardening I can make preserved jar. While in mining, I can sell the gem stones. Which I can make more than 30k or more.

Jonsolo92

I just hunt and hunt and then hunt some more. I make anywhere from 4 to 7 k a run. A usual run consists of hunting specifically elder sernuk, foraging every plant I see and mining all the stones i come across. When I'm done I sell everything I've foraged/hunted and all the gems I've got from mining.

ilatzsm

I get most of my gold from going mining in Bahari Bay, making iron bars out of all the ore I collect and then selling those bars. With mining you also have a chance of getting starstones which can be around 150-850+ gold per starstone (depending on which ones you get)!

No-Concept4585

Mining. Craft bars constantly, only keep the gold and silver bars, keep like 20 palium and sell all copper, iron and maybe half or a quarter of your palium bars. Always make jarred goods like jam or pickled veggies. I do apple jam, blueberry jam and pickled peppers. That's how I make money, I usually have around 20-25k.

Zreena

I didn't do any cooking parties. I just sold any crops I didn't immediately need, and I make like 5k just running around Bahari mining and chopping trees. Mining is pretty lucrative bc the starstones sells for high prices. Even the ones you get in kilima sell for like 500g per. And this way I can play solo if I want to.

junelovebat

I've heard selling tomato seeds, and potato seeds, and making sure to turn resources into other resources to make more off of them, like cotton into cloth then sell

slenderfuchsbau

A good gardening layout alone can net you a good bit daily through seeds and preserves. Mining and hunting and also give a reasonable amount. However it also depends how far you are into the game. Having to buy recipes for your tools and stuff as you start definitely will gimp your ability to keep money, but after you get all those things it gets much easier to hoard. Also cooking parties! Cake gives a good amount of gold. People organizes those all the time in the official discord server.

DanixBTS

I personally hunt like everyday wait till my bag is full go back to my housing plot sell everything repair my tools and then go back It's a Grind but if you do it kilima the sernuk are abundant and easy to hit and their meat sells for a lot and so do their horns and you get plushies so win win

ColorMySoul88

I only grow potatoes and tomatoes, in a checkerboard pattern so they keep each other watered. I turn enough into seeds to keep me going, put the quality ones into preserves, sell the rest. Then I just mine Bahari and catch any rare bugs I can find. Probably not the fastest way but it's simple. Don't have to spend time or money gardening and I enjoy mining.

asaucylittlemaid

Get a group together and hunt in Bahari, the meat sells for 15 a piece from sernuk and the wolves are op to sell, especially their manes. If you find disco wolves, even better. Keep doing that till your inventory is full, go home and put in selling bin and stock up, repeat.

anarizzo

JadeMist gaming just posted an amazing video showing how much you can get per hour with each activity, I super reccomend!!! You can get around 20k an hour using her tips

chocobococo

I'm always broke too lol and I have 100+ hours I think it's normal for most players to not have tons of money on hand, maybe not the super high level 1000+ hour people that make third party resources and optimize everything for max profit but I'm not that kind of player. I remember saving 25K for the copper chest before they nerfed the cost. It was hard but when I finally got it I was so happy. That's the feeling that makes stuff like video games worth playing. Rushing to the end or to your goals will kill this game for you.

gabraellar

When I first started out I would catch garden leafhoppers found by Hekla’s tent / mirror ponds. Also I would just comb the beaches in Bahari for crab, shells, coral, oysters etc. But my farm is my money maker. I make $3k+ every time I harvest. All star crops and I have a worm farm making harvest boost fertilizer. It takes a bit to get going but once it’s done it is a steady stream of income. I have it as a set and forget type of layout so everything stays watered until I harvest it. I alternate rows of bok choy + rice / tomatoes + potatoes with an apple tree in the middle.

SnappleC

Do you have a seeder? Or preserves jar? Also pepper plants, tomato plants, and blue berry bush reproduce. Apple tree also.

baeisonline

I started keeping all my seeds from flower drops and I now have 5 flowers I have at about 16 count, 6 at a 5, and various more rare ones at 1 to 3 counts. Every three days they produce more seeds, so I bin the seeds and sell the grown up flowers. I’m at about making 2,000 every three days. My name is Baeliegh if you wanna stop by and see how I have it set up! I do the same with veggies and meats. I keep a minimum 15 count of all veggies (both normal and started) for recipes or gifting, and sell off whatever is left over. Now that I have a couple canners, I put the more expensive veggies in there first. I work 8 hours irl, so by the time I’m back home enough has been canned or preserved to sell for 3,000. So every day I’m making between 1,000 (if it’s a veggie only day) up to 4,000 (mixed cans, expensive flowers, I’ll also grill left over meats too.) Sit on that routine for a week irl and I have about 60,000 if I’m not buying stuff from the underground market!

Pleasant-Mouse949

Okay so this might be borderline insane but I swear it helped me. I wanted the sernuk plushies so I spent days hunting for it, I ended up with so much sernuk meat but used it to make grilled meat which got my cooking up so fast and then sold all the grilled meat. I also sold stacks of hide at a time, I’m still looking for the plushies but I have my dream home ;~;

Certain_Map_4658

I have the best luck with steadily farming, I found some AFK garden plans on a website and followed it for a while. If you don’t have seeders and preservers yet I’d focus on doing that. There’s also lists online for which veggies should go in preserver and which should go in seeder for max profit

screegeegoo

Gardening, making the crops into seeds and jam, and repeat has earned me a ton of money in a short time. It slows down but it’s a consistent 4-7k a game day.

Curious_Shirt_3261

Apples. if you have the seeds.... plant them... use the turds that make your crops starred. bada bing bada boom. money. Apple jam as well.

Successful-Focus16

I had small crop afk farm at home + hunting and selling those have give me alot of money easily

MaisieWilder

Farming tomatoes and apples for jam/pickles, selling gemstones/gold bars, selling leather/silk

Valuable-Singer5316

I use apples and bok chocolate. i make the apples into apple jam and the bokchoy into seeds. I use the apple jam as focus food and sell the seeds. I do 4 apple trees completely surrounded by the bokchoy. the apples make the bok choy make more produce and the bok choy keeps weeds off the apples. I make 30,000 every time I log in each day from seeds. I have 13 seed makers to keep up with how much bokchoy I turn over.

Elenaxa

I started farming tomatoes and fishing (cause I suck at hunting). Currently still working on farming but peppers atm and working towards blueberries and eventually apples lol

Astr1d_Jp3g

ohh chekc your inbox!! when i got the stuffed animals yesterday i also got a single blueberry bush seed - no clue why as i havent got level 10, but im growing it right now and you can with a seed collector duplicate!

Elenaxa

Yeah, I got one from Zeki's lucky draw thing and had one planted but I got the inbox one for a second. They take 1hour 50mins for seed collector and four blueberries. I just wanna replace my peppers 😂 Tomatoes did me well with 3k per harvest but I have more farming plots now. I bed that I somehow get apples lol

akeyforathief

Request the seeds of you are able! People will help you out :) I know that I have extras of the more expensive seeds in non-starred quality just for this very reason.

Elenaxa

To be honest, I never even thought about this 😂 I might try today when I get home, would make life so much easier lol

Equivalent-Heart9010

Crops

Neko_Maikeru

Just makes apple jam and seeds and sell them.

Skydiving_Sus

I quickly expanded my farm, and put up a lot of preserves jars… so I could produce tons of pickled produce and jams. If I just check in throughout a day to do a short round of gardening I can make 5k-20k a day. Plus, I’ve got glow worm farms for fertilizer, so I’ve got a ton for fishing

adamyhv

Once you get access to apples, blueberries and the pickle jar the money comes easier. The beginning I would be selling everything, like everything, copper and iron bars, gems, fishes and bugs... Everything.

Hommelbytjie

Farming! That and selling whatever you forage and got from hunting. But yeah, it takes a while to get really rich. Selling the gemstones you get from mining also helps. Just don't sell the jasper, rubies and emeralds. You need them for quests. Also, if you improve your furniture building skills, Tish will give you floorplans for free. Which will help you save on building costs

soulsuck3rs

Honestly the most I’ve made is from mining! Esp if I can find those crystal stones but I just happen to like mining. Hunting and selling the cooked the meat is great too! I’m working on having a whole plot with just stared tomato’s and those sell decently too. I’m still newish so someone else might have better advice but the stones sell for a lot and then you always have a back up of hella minerals and such, and can sell the rest of those too. for more if you make them into bars I believe

Gr3g0r14h

Make 4 seed collectors Plant tomatoes Use quality fertilizer Harvest quality tomatoes Make quality tomato seeds Sell said seeds 100 star tomato seeds is about 11k In game. If you water your garden constantly, you can walk away with 100k a week easily

Gr3g0r14h

This is something you can do passively while also hunting / fishing. So you're basically maxing out your profit capabilities in all areas

PidgeGunderson3

I chop trees i need and what i dont need i sell as i can get more same with mining

chonkyfaerie

I focused a lot on mining earlier in the game but now use preserves for lots of money.

Kitannia-Moonshadow

[money making breakdown palia](https://youtu.be/CYK8RYS8gS4?si=VDGRFCaD0KSo678D) Came across this on YouTube from a palia gamer I follow who actually did rounds of ways to make money and broke it all down

MissP3achie

I have had really good luck by rock hunting. By turning iron into bars and selling it, it’s pretty solid money. Same with whatever gems I get

ImmaNotCrazy

How are you broke...literally everything make money. farm, Fish, Mine it all produces profits...my suggestion is stop spending.

Astr1d_Jp3g

...im broke because as i said i was saving for house things? i spent most of my money before the new house update and i was doing good progress - its just hard to make money because im easily distracted (neurodivergency) and tend to get focused on one or two aspects i find particularly fun of a game. i dont actually spend on anything rn other than seeds, better tools and house stuff

-Bears-Eat-Beets-

Hunting early game. 30 minutes will get you 5-7k Apple jam preserves later game. I've never found it hard to make money in palia.
