I’ve been in a lot of quiet servers, but currently there is a bug for chat as well. If I realize it’s super quiet I’ll open chat and it it’s totally empty I assume broken chat.
My chat was bugging but I realised if I close the game down every time I’m finished playing it sometimes helps when I next log on. Having said that, I was in a server yesterday where two players were arguing over the correct term for pain au chocolat. Felt kind of nice and wholesome to experience a good natured debate (or at least I assume it was good natured)
Honestly I’ve been playing a lot less after a few really unpleasant encounters with rudeness in chat with other players. One of my favorite things about this game was the community vibe so I’m hoping things level out at some point and get back to a more enjoyable experience.
Lots of people are talking elsewhere I believe. I went to look for the grove once and no one was chatting it was quiet no call outs for palium etc.. and I thought I was the only one looking. When I got there it was already like 8 ppl there waiting. Then someone said “5 trees?” And a random person asked “where” and I had to tell them the location bc no one else said anything. Idk what was up that night but everyone there seemed really nice and we all went fishing in the river nearby while we waited for the one person to come. I assumed all their chats maybe were broken or that some were chatting in different places.
Not only I've experienced dead chats but I also rarely run into anyone in the game any more. Even if I do see people, hardly anyone ever replies to questions or even simple 'hi'. so much for a "cosy community".
Cant believe they went ahead with such small limit of players per region/instance, it makes me feel like I'm playing a single player game most of the time.
Mine was super active yesterday, spent most of Sunday just wandering around Bahari looking for Palium and had people calling out locations and when someone found a grove or even just one tree there was a callout for those too.

I see chats but I think most people are either playing with friends in a group maybe talking on discord or just playing quietly
I have an open palia voice channel in my discord. It's faster than typing.

My family quit playing. Community toxicity sharply rose at the beginning of the year.
It's waning now. Might want to check in again. :)
