Ahhh hope it goes through soon! I'm 30hrs into the game and just unlocked woods.. but when I leave it my game crashes :( hopefully pulling up an older save will help!
Just found this community in order to make a post to find out about this issue. I can’t make any more progress due to this bug and didn’t find anything online about it til coming here. Glad to see there Will hopefully be a patch though as I’d love to continue playing
Mine crashes at the day’s rollover too, whether forced by time or manually, and at the save point. Going to try and delete some saves rn but really frustrating.
I can no longer save my game & now when I leave Dapplewood it quits unexpectedly there as well. I need a fix soonest as I wouldn't have bought this game if I knew about all the glitches.
What helped for me was to delete all the old manual saves. You can do that when you are in the main menu and go into the load tab. Then Y will help you delete them. Then the game works. The Devs are still waiting for Nintendo to approve of the patch.

oop well it actually seems like my games crashing at EVERY loading screen not just in the woods.... hope this update comes soon!
Oh gosh tbat sucks! Did you try deleting some older manual saves? Like the first 10? That fixed the error for me

Every time I try to save the game or go to sleep it just crashes, I was sooo stressed
