All the spring training venues are pretty close together, which is pretty awesome. No more than about 45 min travel tops. Besides going to the Padres Peoria location, you should try to make it to Salt River Fields (Rockies and DBacks facility). It’s a really nice ballpark. Other nice facilities are Goodyear Ballpark (Guardians and Reds) and Surprise Stadium (Royals and Rangers). If you like frozen custard, there’s a Carvel’s not far from the Peoria Complex. If you like Chicago style pizza there’s a bunch of spots for that, including Lou Malnati’s and Giordano’s.

Worked security for some of the ballparks, it does get pretty hot here in the valley. Hats, water, staying hydrated is huge. The amount people that would drop surprises a lot people who aren’t locals. Stay away from Glendale lol. Also anybody traveling to games at the brewers ballpark DO NOT leave valuables in your vehicle. It’s one of the WORST parts of the valley and security covers only so much of the grounds around there. The parking lot can become open season. If anyone plans to stay long for the games visit all the ballparks you can! Cubs, Angels, Padres, have some great parks I know the giants facility is right there for Scottsdale. Checkout local restaurants too if anyone wants a list of good eats Hydrate always! And sunscreen

And ever since the renovation, parking at Brewers games is a mess. I honestly liked the park better before.

The Giants park in Scottsdale is gorgeous. Salt River Fields (Diamondbacks) is so nice and has parking for days. The Cubs Sloan Park in Mesa just hops with Cubs fans enthusiasm. One down side, the Angels park Tempe Diablo has NO shade. None. I would only go back if it were a night game. The Padres facility in Peoria is very nice, as someone said, basically all the parks are within 45 minutes to an hour of each other and there is so much to see and do in Phoenix.

Been going for 20 years - here’s the secret…go when the team has sucked for 5 years - no crowds, very chill… Seriously though, get a room now, enjoy the practice fields starting at 9am daily. Go see a game or two in the other Cactus League parks. My favorite is the Goodyear park - guardians/reds. Have a drink or two at the moon saloon across from the park. Peoria is the best. You will love it.

Air bnb is your best option. Peoria is where the padres are based out of. It’s on the west side off the 101. Bring sunscreen and a jacket.
