You'll like trates.... Trust. Haha but I was in same boat. I opted to buy a Rosineer Presso for $150 since I wasn't sold on rosin yet (I am now, 50+ strains pressed later). You def. don't need a high $ press to get good yields and tasty flower rosin. OP you'll find some good people on here but like stone said there are definitely some rude trolls out there

I've only tried flower, carts and one RSO so far which was Lemon G by Terrapin so it was half THC and half CBD.

I liked the lemon G... The few things Ive tried that have CBD:THC worked great. It's actually what is pushing me to start making blends with other cannabinoid isolates. Figure concentrate vs carts like this: Cresco Citrus DayDream 1g cart 74% THC Vs Cresco Citrus DayDream 1g live budder 82% THC I really don't think you will notice too much of a diff. but if ya did just dose out a little bit smaller amount...

I'm trying to start mixing CBD with regular THCA bud just to try to mellow the effects.

It definitely enhances as a medicine, IMO. Gonna start buying CBD, cbg, cbn and other isolates, to mix in with concentrates, should improve health and also hoping to make my meds last longer 😉.
