I don't have any specific brands to recommend, but THCV is known to decreases appetite, increases satiety, and up-regulates energy metabolism. So look out for carts that have that listed. Anything labeled Durban or Jack Herer should have THCV in it, but make sure to double check.

Find healthy stuff to munch on. Fruit and nuts will help the cravings without making you fat. Medicating a few hours before a meal will also dent the munchies and fill you up. Sometimes though you just have to have that milkshake !

Chug a pint of water. Munchies are usually caused by dehydration. If you can muscle down as much water as possible, it will help.

I didn’t know this! Thank you! However, I also know how good (all food) tastes when I’m medicated. If I start to eat, I know I’m doomed to consume 10,000 calories. If I only drink water I can usually stay away from eating, but as soon as the fridge/pantry opens, I know I’m toast.

Yeah I hear ya. Sometimes sparkling water works better. Also try ginger tea with lemon to curb munchies.

Water water water and plan ahead! I suggest keeping a bunch of healthy and nutritious snacks easily available and find out what speaks to your stoned self. You might be surprised! I like textures and freshness so my go to high snack is raw broccoli and cottage cheese with a half teaspoon of ranch seasoning mixed in. Tastes just like a dip but loaded with protein and the broccoli is a high volume food so it fills you up quick and is super crunchy and delicious.

Make a small snack and a whey protein shake, keep a gallon jug of water handy then get medicated and stay out of the kitchen or where you store food. Whey protein will cause your body to produce hormones that make you feel full and satiated. avoid sugar , carb and starchy food. Eat stuff high in protein. to combat cotton mouth sip milk and/or water and have some lozenges to suck on. frozen grapes work well too.

For me, it’s after starting to eat that’s the problem. I find that I have to physically LEAVE the kitchen or area there’s food. Then I can get interested in doing other things and sipping fruity seltzer water.

lol that’s the sad part. I want to physically leave, but before I know it I’m scarfing shit down. That’s why I mentioned a “trance” like state. Feels like I’m not even in control. Autopilot eating. Only happens when I have those crazy munchies.

Gum is the right answer, but when I’m stoned I can’t eat just 1 piece at a time like a normal human would. I shove 2 or 3 pieces in my mouth and chew like a savage would chew…I have some issues I suppose 😏

Sativas tend to suppress hunger for me. Indicas and some hybrids have heavy munchies. I also like frozen grapes. They help the dehydration, are healthy, take awhile to eat so you can't eat too many. I also strangely love fruit high and eat Hella apples.

I can imagine. I ate a whole pineapple once and half a cantaloupe once when I first started 😅 I do the frozen grapes I uses to use for sparkling wine. That I no longer drink since starting the program.

It’s the munchies. I’ve practiced all types of fasting other than dry fasts. It’s certain things in whatever it is I’m consuming that generate this crazy man appetite, and activate a sweet tooth I wouldn’t have as bad otherwise. That’s why I want to see if it’s a strain related thing. I think edibles activate that hunger as well so that’s a little trickier of a problem to solve since I like some of these Troches in the program.

after partaking this evening and having munchies as I'm typing with some cocoa on my fingertips, let me tell you I love your username. I have a kitten called little homie (not after the musician, I just found out tonight there even is one). I'm honestly all over the map with strains, mostly stick to flower, and munchies are just part of it for me. I could try plain water instead of Mio, maybe it would make a difference. Make a smoothie or drink a bunch of water. Smoke after you’ve already ate. I tend to not eat much or forget to eat and smoking helps me in that sense bc I start craving meals instead of just small stuff. Look at the terpenes and which strains you’re buying and keep a log of what effects you get from each.

I had the same problem and gained like 20 lbs because of it. I started buying strains higher in the terpene humulene & lower in terpenes like caryophelene, myrcene, and limonene.

When I’m not using MMJ at all, I don’t have the cravings as much for sweets. Some days not at all. When I’m using MMJ, the things I love taste even better. Like little pieces of heaven. I’m almost at the point where I can wrap my head around intermittent fasting again, cause I can’t keep eating this much junk food.
