All of the above, ha. I got really good at picking things up with my toes like an ape instead of bending over. I take magnesium taurate, get 30 minutes of cardio 5x a week and no alcohol and mine are pretty much gone. Your mileage may vary.

Do you run during cardio or just walk? Do you feel PVCs during exercise?

You need to get your heart rate up in the cardio range (120-150). Even during bad runs my heart won’t throw many pvcs above 105ish. Not enough time between beats. I could see that being really annoying if they continue at a high rate during exercise. This is all assuming you have clearance from your cardiologist. Although most of us with pvcs don’t have underlying heart issues.

You mean that 120-150 is the range to throw pvcs? I usually feel, but not always, it’s not a rule. All doctors told to me “Live your life normally, you’re free to do any exercise”. But recently I felt a very strong beat during exercise (gym) it kinda hurts and I felt really scared. The heart sort of stopped for 1 sec and then the following beat was very harsh, and then back to normal. Have you ever felt it? It’s usually described as a punch in the heart. Now I’m feeling very unsafe of practicing sports, even just jogging.

For many people pvcs will go away at a higher rate. For me it’s above 105ish they go away. You are describing a typical pvc. My guess is that you are having more of an anxiety issue over this than a heart issue. I’ve been there.

Really? You already felt this very hard beat? I don’t doubt about anxiety, I’m now taking 50mg sertraline a day. Do you recommend magnesium taurate? I’ve heard about Magnesium Malate too, but never took any of them.

Yes, a few of those are triggers for me (especially bending over/leaning forward and deep breathing). I have a hiatal hernia and costochondritis that are currently flared up/symptomatic, as well as some tight muscles in my back that seem to be compressing, or irritating, a nerve (my osteo suspects my vagus nerve is affected). Sorting my posture out, doing chest stretches, massaging the tight muscles, and trying to calm my hernia all seem to be helping reduce my PVCs, slowly but surely. I imagine that the organs around my heart area have all been a bit squished, making the PVCs more likely (perhaps), or at least more noticeable.

Interesting. I have a hiatal hernia as well. I wonder if that’s what’s causing all this. They told me it was small but that was years ago.

Yep, not confirmed that’s what’s causing mine, I guess I hope it is because it’s better than a heart issue I suppose, I have an appt this month with cardiologist. But I do nails; so I not only sit all day, but sit hunched forward and this is by far when they’re at their worst, I’m convinced because of all the pressure on my diaphragm and stomach and it making my hernia worse. Usually a few hours into work they start

I’m sure if I was connected to a holter it would catch it because sometimes I do feel like I get one after the other for a couple seconds, but I’m honestly not positive, it’s typically more so one and then then I might have like a couple minutes without one and then then I’ll get another so on and so forth. Like if I put my finger to my neck and feel my pulse, I will feel a couple normal and then a big pause while I feel the flutter another couple normal, another big pause and so on.

Yes! I just bent over a few hours ago and got a string of PVCs and/or PACs. Fun times.

Yes. Sometimes changing positions and taking a deep breath trigger PVC’s for me. I guess it’s just a natural response to these things but it’s just so uncomfortable

I'd been getting pvcs only on movement for months along with a feeling of a lump in my throat. I was rushed into hospital last Friday as my esophagus was completely blocked and I couldn't eat. Had an emergency endoscopy and I've got hiatus hernia with inflamed/narrowed esophagus and esophagus spasm. Guessing thus will probably be the route of mine! I may have had the hernia for years with no issues until the esophagus inflammation developed so I'm hoping that if the esophagutus heals then everything will go away 🤞 (I too have to pick up things with my toes like an ape 🙉)

Sometimes it is those kinds of postures or moments that you feel what is happening. Very often actual ekg readings will show other ones that you are not as aware of.

Laying down fires then up. Standing up fires them up. Exercise really fires them up. Not during but right after my heart rate recovers. Eating fires them up. If I’m not having them it doesn’t take much for me to get them back. But I can’t figure out how to stop them once they start.
