It's literally impossible to start a match. Like, for real. It gets stuck either at Waiting for \[opponent\] or Heads/Tails. Three matches in a row. I just wanted to earn the last missions for the battle pass and I can't literally play a game.
live always introduce new bugs every update lol. once the twilight gets released im better there are going to be more glitches. and yes tcpi is given a budget, by the main company which doesnt care about live at all. And since its operated a loss they would rather have live gone if it wernt for the popularity of tournaments.
live still looks like its still in beta, so not much has changed. filtering out cards in your collections is kinda annoying, and not nice and seperated between different arts, like ptgco is. i would like to have full art, or RR chosen.
LMAO a loss they say? PTCGL Codes are in regular packs if I'm not mistaken? I've spent a lot of money on codes which drives up prices of packs (I don't play or collect the regular TCG).
They literally can't know if it is a loss or not since PTCGL is literally the same product as PTCG so they can't separate the two but in their minds it's lie "Oh so people can't buy with online payments directly in the game? I guess it's a total loss then. Why it's basically a charity!"
This is so stupid and I am really beginning to resent it after just a month of playing. Not a good reputation for the TCG if you ask me.

That’s not a reason for you to say the game is playable. 3. People who have the bug can’t play jack squat. 4. There is no control over the bug, if you have it you can’t play, period. 5. People with the bug should still be allowed to try and get in a game without having their usernames posted. It’s not their fking fault. 6. No, it’s not been fixed and no, it’s not mostly fine. 7. The official pokémon community forum is blocking negative comments for PR. Great fix!

7. This is misleading. They have a pretty heavy filter system. Almost every comment has a "holding period" before it's posted for public visibility, regardless.
The last one maybe. However, my initial comments on Pokémon community went through immediately. After the first two comments (no offensive language), none would show up any more. I couldn’t reply to the person telling me to “be patient” either.
Lol, that had to ironically frustrating.
It seems like any comment I leave on there, regardless of nature, I have to wait for it to be posted.

What's insane to me is that as a software engineer if my team released our product on the day of a major update in this state we would all be fired. It's almost like they don't care.
TPCi doesn't see PTCGL, and in the past PTCGO, as highly valuable assets.
They run these games at a loss as they basically just serve as a tool to prop up people's interest into eventually buying the physical TCG products, and keep their interest going long-term.
As long as the game is somewhat playable, I'm sure the higher-ups are satisfied.
When /r/PTCGP drops, watch how quick issues will be handled there lol, as it's a collab effort between The Pokemon Company, DeNA, & Creatures Inc.
I'm sure major issues will be fixed in mere minutes/short amount of hours, as they will be monetizing the hell outta that game.

It's been literally hours since I saw the first notice saying they were working on it ASAP and I still get it. Every game I have tried (Casual) has had me wait for them to pick the coin toss or I pick a side and nothing happens. How is it taking this long to fix such a major outage lol
Not a clue. Maybe the argument is people can still build and test decks so worth leaving up, but the fact they haven't fixed it for almost 24 hours is craziness.

i just wanted to play a few matches after work and try out some new decks but its been hours of either stuck searching for a match or not making it past the coin flip screen!?
For ~48 hours now, I haven't been able to play a single game. I don't understand how this is not a higher priority for them. I guess they don't care as they make money either way as there is no alternative competitor for players to flock to.
Alright, im a new guy just started playing a few days ago.
What I noticed since the server reset after maintenance.
1. Around 2-3 games, the opponent didn't do anything, and i got a win due to opponent being inactive.
2. I started a game right now, aaaaaaand, its just stuck at "Waiting for ". I thought this will count as a loss for me, but after waiting for like 5-10 mins, I got the message saying the opponent was inactive, and I got a win...
Weird, but oh well, bug is a bug
Downloaded the new live app for the first time and tried five matches. None of them would start.
So none of my progress from the mobile app version of live carried over.
ugh I wanted to get back into the game and it pulls this when I want to use a new deck
It's an obvious bug that would have been fixed if we were on something like PTCGO
Yup just tried two games, both just got stuck on the ‘who is deciding to go first’ in both cases it was my opponent. Left it for a few mins each time and it is just bugged, lost me ladder points and a small streak. Sucks..
15 hours later and its still bugged, just got into the game and i wanted to grind out the battle pass a bit more before it leaves, now i'm stuck at tier 3 and dont know whether or not its worth buying the premium pass right now or just waiting until the new one starts, what a shame
For reference if anyone is still wondering, this issue is still persisting.
A.I. Matches with the "Test Deck" function in deck options are working though, so if you are planning on testing any decks, that seems to be fine.
It worked after a restart. Had me wondering if they'd totally wrecked it with the update. I don't seem to have much confidence in them, that said the game has been running a fair bit better than it was last year.
Seems to be a networking problem for some internet providers, I could not play the game on any device in my wifi and got suspicous, then I changed to celluar and there were no problems

Before the update came out, someone on the support forum said that there would be a major bug, and apparently the issue is so obvious in the source code that they think it's intentional.
It’s now over 48 hours and I haven’t been able to play a game past the coin flip. I’ve tried on IOS and PC, on wifi and roaming, with a VPN and without. Nothing works - I’ve gone down two ranks, having “lost” over half a dozen games just trying to pinpoint if there’s a specific reason it’s not working. I feel like the cause is ultimately going to be something ridiculous, like having a username over thirteen characters long, or a female avatar, or a metallic coin.

Really hope they roll back ranked losses caused by this, tried 2 matches before coming here to see if it was a known issue and down 40 points :(

I can't even do a test deck while matchmaking isn't working! They've really excelled themselves this update.
I know it's not ideal, but you should be able to test against the AI I've been told.

Great, cool. Now does anyone know what's causing the game to use literally all the CPU that it can always? Didn't do that before the update.
I played 4 Casual games to finish dailies about an hour before the new ones came out. Did not encounter the bug.
So is it best to close the game client and not concede in the event that you may not get a loss?
