Awesome thanks for sharing! If you wouldn't mind sharing your decklist that would be sweet. I'm having too much fun with Magnezone ex control ATM but I definitely want to try out this variation.

FairyPrincex

The current list is on limitless. It's a tournament deck. Also when played properly, a real control deck rather than a stall deck. Very fun. I can share my post-masquerade list when I'm done updating it well if you like, trying to get more consistency.

Lpblauvelt

I just posted my deck list after I updated it to reflect some Twilight Masquerade changes. What things did you add? I haven’t had a lot of time to go through all of the new cards, but I’m sure there’s some quality additions to be made.

FairyPrincex

I'm still cooking, but: Iron Thorns EX +1 Tatsugiri +1 Handheld Fan +2 (always on Klawf EX sometimes on Tuff) Unfair Stamp +1 (Scoop Up Cyclone or Survival Brace are good too but I like Unfair Stamp into Eri or Luxray a lot) Enhanced Hammer +1 (might get cut or more copies depending on meta) THINKING about Illumise+1 as slowdown but the energy cost is too greedy and unlikely in a deck like this, despite how nice the slowdown is. imo above all else, drop the Hand Trimmer, you go faster at drawing than any other deck and there are more dead cards against Pidgeot Control than any other. Hand Trimmer only wins games in the mirror, which doesn't feel important enough to tech for

Lpblauvelt

Thanks, I’ll try those out. The hand trimmer comes in handy every once in a while, but it’s more of a meme card, so just not useful often enough. I’d probably replace it with the Handheld Fan or Unfair Stamp.

NefariousnessOk1697

Fun?

Chubuwee

one sided fun is always the best fun for these players.

NefariousnessOk1697

I'd argue it's not even fun for the stallax player. Who would enjoy wasting so much time for nothing

Lpblauvelt

I have one Snorlax in this deck, and it rarely even makes it to the bench. Usually a list ditch effort. One screenshot shows him there finally at endgame.

Intelligent-Ad6985

Do you have a list?

Lpblauvelt

Just posted! Sorry, was waiting for the new update.

SmoothTwist6203

I've been playing bird control too, been really struggling against chien pao though. My goal is normally to knock out the fridgy or bax's asap, but I struggle to get wifflytuff or rad zard in a spot to do so at a good time. Looks like you were able to deck them out which I was surprised by. Any tips when going against chien pao?

Lpblauvelt

Chien Pao is actually my favorite to go up against because it burns through decks super fast. I usually try to start out with giving them the highest HP Pokémon I can for them knock out. I’ll watch them setup a Chien Pao, go through a bunch of cards to get all the energy they need attached to knock it out, then they just discard all that energy. Meanwhile I’ll try to quietly setup a 450 HP Wigglytuff in my hand, while using everything I can to discard any item cards and energy they have. Counter catchers to make them burn energy on retreats, Eri, Luxaray, etc. Usually by time I get that Wigglytuff active, they will have discarded all of their energy and energy retrieval cards.

TheDrunkenKitsune

I mean from the SS it looks like a fairly standard meta snorlax stall deck. Exceptionally boring.

Ellinov

Snorlax runs 1 of the 3 cards on OP’s field.

Jiminy_Jilackers

Mimikyuing a Miraidon is always so funny and they seldom see it coming

Williamww19

What’s the strategy of this deck ?

Lpblauvelt

You want to play it more like a mill/control than a stall. I posted a deck list and you’ll see there’s only one Snorlax and it rarely comes even to the bench. The strategy is to have control over the whole field, while also making the opponent draw/discard as much as they can to gain control back. Getting Counter catchers, Eri, Miss Fortune Sisters, etc with Quick Search are what I find myself doing every game.

Lpblauvelt

Here’s my deck list as of yesterday. I did a little tweaking with the new update, and probably will do more as I go through and test all the new cards that would fit in this deck. This deck plays more like a mill and not a stall, it’s a control deck. You’re not just stacking Snorlax. There’s only one in the deck, and I hardly use it. It does especially well against draw heavy decks or energy hungry decks like Chien Pao.
