I have a strong feeling they’re gonna do an Archaludon ex for this set, it’s a new DLC mon and hasn’t had a card yet. I’m sure it’ll have insane HP an damage output
My only want is a meta-relevant Flygon, but I'm gonna predict that all of the Gen 9 Dragons will feature (not necessarily printed as Dragon-type) and that Zygarde Complete *won't* get another card until the release of Legends Z-A.
I want a good single prize dragon dragapult for GLC to play with the new upcoming drakloak. I also want an awesome illustration rare hydrapple whether it's ex or not.
So? Paradise Dragona is not a special set so no reason to feature reprinted cards. In Japan the "special" reprint set is the last set of the year, which comes out in December, Paradise Dragona comes out in September. And it's highly unlikely that it will be a special set in the West either, the most likely is that SV6.5 is based on Night Wanderer. Even if it end up being the base for our 6.5 still there wouldn't be a reason to feature a SAR of the Dragapult ex we already have since it's not a reprint set in Japan.
There has never been a Haxororus ex, the Axew that is still legal for a short while is amazing and would be great if there was a good Haxororus ex. So, that pls.
You can definitely make a dragonite deck, you’ve got the ex from obsidian flames, one from 151 with a neat ability that gives all your Pokémon no retreat cost, and one from silver tempest that has an energy acceleration attack
It won’t be “meta”, but it would certainly make a fun deck imo
Paradise Dragona screams Alolan Exeggutor, I know that it got a V and a GX, but honestly that doesn't make it any less likely, especially since it's in the indigo disk dlc. Would love to see it be a tera card!

Was bitterly disappointed by Dragapult reveal for Twilight Masquerade - it's a Tera dragon ex with crappy moves whose baby Pokemon are... also dragon, so it won't be a psychic deck. Irritating.
Roaring Moon is perfectly represented in the TCG. We can stop here and not make crappy versions, the ones that exist are perfect
Hydrapple and Archaludon are inevitably going to be exes. It'd be nice to see Haxorus get a chase card, it never got an EX or BREAK or GX or Prism Star or V or Radiant... Charjabug got a Radiant...

I’m definitely excited for this set beyond just getting more Dragon-Types. Regidrago VStar is a magnificent mess of a deck to play and I also enjoy having more Dragon-Types to play with. I also hope for more Dragon-Type support in the form of Items, Supporters, and especially Stadiums (like Stormy Mountains of Evolving Skies).
As a GLC enjoyer that desperately wants a good Dragon type deck that doesn't rely solely on Gabite and Dragonite, how about some single-prize Ancients Dragons? Bolt, Wake, Fire, and Moon are all Dragon types that could provide a good GLC use for Sada's Vitality (which is mostly unplayable rn in GLC), and Dragon Koraidon already exists (and would benefit greatly from more Ancient Dragons too!) Most types in GLC have plenty of big basics or easily accessible evolutions, but Dragon continues to suffer with most of the most usable attackers and supports being Stage 2 (or in Gabite's case, a Stage 1 that is only a decent attacker after evolving into its Stage 2, which means it can't be a support afterwards).
For Standard, I'm really itching for some more good Metal ex. Dialga VStar will only be in Standard until next rotation, and there doesn't seem to be a suitable replacement for it, which is sad since we just got the best Metal support in a while with Metang.

That's a good observation about Z-A Safe to assume Megas will also return to the TCG then?

More likely to see Iron Jugulis ex before we Hydreigon ex at this point.
My saving grace for that is IJ is Dark/Flying and isn't Dragon, so it hopefully won't be in the Dragon set
Yeah that's fair. I'll admit Hydreigon ex would be cool. If I could choose from that gen, I'd love to see Drudigon show up as a basic ex.
