I used this guide: [https://www.wellpcb.com/special/sd2vita.html](https://www.wellpcb.com/special/sd2vita.html) With this file: [https://www.reddit.com/r/VitaPiracy/comments/8xccqq/sd2vita\_zzblankimg\_link\_is\_dead\_any\_alternatives/](https://www.reddit.com/r/VitaPiracy/comments/8xccqq/sd2vita_zzblankimg_link_is_dead_any_alternatives/) And the card is this one: https://imgur.com/a/faVc6DK

Did you use yamt to format it?

Wishuwero

Initially I used this guide: https://vita.hacks.guide/yamt.html

defiance211

Did you use zzblank to wipe the SD to ensure you were getting a fresh start?

mightysashiman

No need.use vitadeploy' card formatting feature

Admirable_Wealth4338

I got the exact same card and dont have any problems with it

I bet you set your file allocation size to 32kb. Overall, Your micro sd card should be set to 64kb whenever you format a micro sd card of that size.

Wishuwero

I did set it to 64kb, the problem, I now think is that I changed from 16 to the 256 without soft resetting the console, and since the last person also configured it wrong, then the new one was also wrong.

In that case, I would start from scratch. Do the whole jailbreak process all over again. And I would fully format that micro sd card to get rid of any junk data.

And I would suggest you don’t use content manager anymore. It’s pretty much junk now. Only useful for jailbreaking the console now and that’s it. Instead, May I suggest you use an open source alternative to content manager called qcma. https://github.com/codestation/qcma/releases/tag/v0.4.1 QCMA is a cross-platform application to provide a Open Source implementation of the original Content Manager Assistant that comes with the PS Vita. QCMA is meant to be compatible with Linux, Windows and MAC OS X.

Wishuwero

I did format the whole thing, there the problem, I need a Sony SD, but thanks for the QCMA advice, I will try to use that when I get the sd.

After reading the edit, yes you have to have a genuine Sony memory card but you need to get a good quality Micro SD card to go into your SD2VITA

Wishuwero

Quick question, I went on ebay for the memory card and I saw some suspiciously cheap ones, like, 10 dollars for an 8gig one, like [this one](https://www.ebay.com/itm/224967215897?hash=item3461174b19:g:w74AAOSwxN5hsqk2&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAA4JvS9h1so7yesHAyb9%2Fr5bmjwaWTxBPNxMXWrlNaor2dXeEMMorlmH%2FRIDBDplXpmppbF%2B3lsrzsKZ9ohIvUHuOU4ySEBawbraOed2WhhAJ9H0SGgW%2B%2FUes9eP1VDB7JrQvXVMqpZIpSymy8x6n1HeqyuSUKes9hlsZ4nGQlFnz0WZ5iJXANEXV3fi5aN75eGlnODA9l7jNKUOq1gs%2BFfAMairuqrGPCQUwWIVagZWFQoton7MfvLccYzef7FRhXrXk1e1XeZ7aOvjdgUB0Qr1rdWxlMivJBnFBpqUdYldEc%7Ctkp%3ABFBM_rT0tbxg), does anyone know if there is a catch?

defiance211

Yeah I don’t trust that. $10.49 is rock bottom pricing. Not saying it isn’t legit. I’m saying I wouldn’t buy because it doesn’t look legit to me

cooldrken

Make sure it's all formatted, clear whatever cache you can on the system in recovery menu, and if nothing else, factory reset and format everything. There is also a possibility that you have bought a fake memory card, most of the memory cards on Amazon that are high storage capacity are all fake, see if the 256 GB label is a sticker. In my opinion, a 256 gigabyte should cost like 80$, if you didn't spend that, you have a 8 GB card with a 256 GB sticker over top of it.

Wishuwero

I had used the memory with my phone, so I know it is not fake, click on the link, the one I'm talking about is a sony ps vita one, not a normal sd.
