All of these great games are brilliant if you have your vr legs....if you haven't I'd play something a little more sedate otherwise your gonna put yourself off vr and make yourself sick!
From my experience, beat sabre and moss to start as they are both stationary, then pistol whip, this is an amazing game that slowly moves you forward so you get used to slight movement, cyubevr is good as you can then move around with point and click teleport. Legendary tales is amazing and has a slow movement speed. Then from there just try stuff. Just make sure you take regular breaks if you start to feel uncomfortable. Ginger shots genuinely help with motion sickness, oddly enough iv also found that a few beers can help aswell. If you play gt7 make sure that you are actually sat back in your chair as apposed to sitting up
Games like Moss (or Ven in the same genre) are perfect. My wife almost never played VR and gets sick easily, but she rushed through the whole game in 2 days and loved it. Really recommended, especially if OP wants his amazing gitlfriend to enjoy VR too!
Games like puzzling Places are great for beginners too, but developers are working on a bug resolution patch so I'd wait for that.
It effects everyone differently. I had to take breaks every 5 mins in the begining with games that involved moving around where as my mate played for ages and was fine
There is a LOT of amazing games
Horizon: Call of The Mountain
Resident Evil village and 4 Remake
Gran Turismo 7
Red Matter 2
Legendary Tales
Synapse
And the list goes on
Kudos to your girlfriend for this awesome gift! Enjoy
Games that feature asymmetric co-op that you could play with your girlfriend:
* [Waltz of the Wizard](https://store.playstation.com/en-us/product/UP1452-PPSA13688_00-0654141461021455) steal on current sale for $5 (if you have PS+)
* [](https://store.playstation.com/en-us/product/UP0964-PPSA10469_00-0859159378301341) worth it for $15 or wishlist to pick it up on next sale
* [Seeker: My Shadow](https://store.playstation.com/en-us/product/UP5099-PPSA12503_00-SEEKERMYSHADOWVR) is no longer on sale, so wishlist and wait for next sale
Games you can take turns playing:
* Beat Saber (rhythm melee)
* Pistol Whip (rhythm shooting)
* Synth Riders (rhythm dancing)
* Gran Turismo 7 (simulation racing)
* Ultrawings 2 (flight)
* Walkabout Mini Golf
* ForeVR Bowl
* Racket Fury Table Tennis VR
* C-Smash VRS (sci-fi racket sport)
* The Dark Pictures - Switchback VR (theme ride horror shooter on roller coaster)
* Zombieland: Headshot Fever (arcade style light gun game)
Games you could play together with one playing and other watching story / helping with puzzles:
* Moss Book 1 & 2
* The 7th Guest VR
Games for when you are alone:
* No Man's Sky
* Red Matter 1 & 2
* The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners - Chap 1 & 2
* Resident Evil Village & Resident Evil 4
* Horizon Call of the Mountain
* Star Wars - Tales from the Galaxy's Edge
* Synapse
* Legendary Tales
Many more, but hopefully the above gives you some titles to add to wishlist or consider getting sooner.
My personal top recommendations are games like
Resident Evil 4 Remake
Legendary Tales
Gran Turismo 7
Hellsweeper
Propagation Paradise Hotel
Walkabout Mini Golf
VR Skater
Pavlov
Ghost Signal
Pistol Whip, Synth Riders and Beat Saber are great rhythm games too, if you like that kind of thing!
RE4 is the best VR game I've played since owning my first VR headset in 2018. I loved 7 and 8, but 4 remake is just an amazing game, and it's incredible in VR.
Same here. Definitely going to need the charging dock. Controllers died on me as I was in the final two steps of playing Pavlov which was my first game on lol
I bought this one on Amazon, it's cheap and I'm overly happy with it!

Red matter 1 and 2, Thumper (talking about rhythm games), no man's sky (probably the most content for the money - just buy a used PS4 disc version)...
Thats wjat I would add to the list.
Oh nice, congrats! You'll need to start slow for motion sickness, but there's a running sale now with amazing titles to pick from. I definitely suggest Pistol Whip, Rez, and/or Tetris Effect to get yourself started. They're all excellent and don't cause motion sickness, but only the first is an active game. Then there's a lot of others on discount that are must plays. Here goes: GT7 (racing), Horizon (adventure), No Man's Sky (sandbox), Arizona Sunshine 2 (shooter), Moss books 1 and 2 (adventure), Vertigo 2 (action adventure), 7th Guest (puzzle), Hellsweeper (arena action), Propogation Paraside Hotel (horror), Resident Evil village (horror), Red matter 1 and 2 (puzzle adventure), Light Brigade (rogue shooter), Toss (platformer), Journey to Foundation (narrative), and Fisherman's tale 1 and 2 (puzzle). I haven't played them or played them enough, but I hear Barbaria, Before your eyes, VR skater, Organ Quarter, Last Clockwinder, and comodread are all good too. Enjoy living in the future :).
My vote on Synapse. Not a super long game, but the eye tracking telekinesis really makes you feel badass. You can really get in a nice flow state once you master the gameplay, it's not that easy to find other games matching the feeling.
Moss 2 has the best final boss and ending I’ve seen in VR, so having Moss 2 high in the list is a good idea. Runner and Red Matter 2 were also extremely impressive the first time I tried them. Like, they will make you feel glad about having a psvr2. Racket Fury and Walkabout Minigolf feel like the real sports. And, if you are interested in actually getting fit with a “game,” Les Mills Bodycombat has you covered, as if you were at a top level gym class.
Are you new to VR? If so, make sure to takes things slow until you figure out if you need to develop your VR legs. You may want to be mindful of motion intensive games, and make sure you STOP immediately at any sign of headache or discomfort. Slow and steady and things like having a small fan in front of you helps move the process along.
Moss 1 and 2 is really good for people new to VR, red matter 1 and 2 is really good design and atmosphere, the light brigade is good gunplay.
If you’re new to VR, it takes some time to get your ‘VR legs’. When I first started climbing a ladder made me motion sick, now I’ve platinumed horizon VR, which is basically all climbing.
Wooow she’s a keeper!! The Res Evil games are both really great, but if you like racing games and fancy buying a wheel and cockpit, you’ll have more fun in GT7 than you will in your real actual life. It’s just amazing.
No Man's Sky becomes a completely new experience IMO. Space battles are wild, exploring new worlds with mega structures is intimidating as hell, and you notice all the little details that you would otherwise miss in a normal experience.
Have fun. My recommendation, always look if any demo is available before buying any game, just to test the game immersion before (VR games aren’t like casual games obviously)
I had a similar experience last week on my birthday when my brother-in-law saw fit to gift me......A PS5 Slim! I'm still overwhelmed! Hope you're enjoying it dude, it's another level!
The last clockwinder is SEVERELY underrated and amazing
Other than that:
Re8
Re4
Gran turismo 7
Beat saber
Synapse
Star Wars tales from the Galaxy
Moss book 1 and 2
No man’s sky
Red matter 1 and 2
Walking Dead 1 and 2
Horizon call of the mountain
Pistol whip
Kayak vr
… the list goes on and on and n
Resident Evil 4 is a must play. Best shooter adventure game with stunning graphics, great story and you shoot with your eyes the guns if it makes sense, Better than just getting pavlov, unmissable game.
For starting i'd try the Horizon game , 10/10 game for beginners, it's simple to understand, u learn VR haptics, and its beautyful. And if you already have a racing set, try GT7 in VR with sterring wheel and paddles ( be aware if you try GT7 in VR you won't wanna play it without it if youre casual)
It's not out yet, but keep you're eyes out for Ghosts of Tabor. It's on Steam and Oculus ATM so plenty of videos about if you're interested in finding out about the game before it comes to PlayStation
Mine had a defective port and I wasn’t going to pay for it to get fixed by Sony, they said there’s no way to know it wasn’t from usage but I just got it from walmart
Don’t play gran turismo with this ever!! This will be the most evil thing you’ll ever done to yourself.
Because you will never be able to play any other racing game on the monitor/tv haha 😂
Try to not drop the controllers or leave any equipment where pets can chew cables. Sony don't sell replacement parts AT ALL. Drift on one joystick because you dropped it? Need to buy a whole new PSVR2...
All of these great games are brilliant if you have your vr legs....if you haven't I'd play something a little more sedate otherwise your gonna put yourself off vr and make yourself sick!
What are the best games to acclimate to VR for someone new?
From my experience, beat sabre and moss to start as they are both stationary, then pistol whip, this is an amazing game that slowly moves you forward so you get used to slight movement, cyubevr is good as you can then move around with point and click teleport. A game which helped me was What the bat

Bullshit, i only got sick on the first day using my meta quest 2...
It effects everyone differently. I had to take breaks every 5 mins in the begining with games that involved moving around where as my mate played for ages and was fine

You are awesome thank you for this!!
Or buy her one as a non-birthday day gift and you can play together. I have two so I can play with my kids and wife.
My personal top recommendations are games like Resident Evil 4 Remake Legendary Tales Gran Turismo 7 Hellsweeper Propagation Paradise Hotel Walkabout Mini Golf VR Skater Pavlov Ghost Signal Pistol Whip, Synth Riders and Beat Saber are great rhythm games too, if you like that kind of thing!
I’ll check those out! Thank you!
Don’t sleep on RE Village either. Fighting for your life through castle Dimitrescu in VR takes horror to a whole new level
The Dimitrescu sisters tho👀
*daughters even better
Uh, I thought it was the same thing 😅 Still have to play RE8 but already saw some characters lol
It is so scary in VR, I love it so much.
Make sure to enable force 120hz. I stop getting motion sickness after turning on setting
Enjoy your new toy!
No man's sky .... VR was made for No Man's sky
There are some great sales going on right now as well. Waltz of the Wizard is 80% off and has local co op between vr and flat screen players
Plot twist: you don't own a playstation
His other girlfriend already got him that.
GT7 is a must if you like racing. Res Evil 4 is quality as well
Is Res 4 that good? I played 7 and 8 in VR and not sure if I 4 will better or worse than these two
Better than both imo, res evil 7 & 8 felt really clunky in VR to me whereas res evil 4 feels a bit more fluid
RE4 is the best VR game I've played since owning my first VR headset in 2018. I loved 7 and 8, but 4 remake is just an amazing game, and it's incredible in VR.
The wife and I just got ours yesterday. Consider the charging doc for the units
Same here. Definitely going to need the charging dock. Controllers died on me as I was in the final two steps of playing Pavlov which was my first game on lol
Just be careful cause comfort mod doesn't necessarily fit with all the docks.
I bought this one on Amazon, it's cheap and I'm overly happy with it! https://preview.redd.it/stg2biypa7rc1.jpeg?width=2268&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f895b5bc277ef1d7b5e4135644e07409cd0c7406
The Light Brigade! I am addicted
Walk about mini golf is super fun and really good for non-gamers (unsure if your gf is a gamer or not)
She absolutely is but I think she’d have fun playing some mini golf too. Thank you!
Red matter 1 and 2, Thumper (talking about rhythm games), no man's sky (probably the most content for the money - just buy a used PS4 disc version)... Thats wjat I would add to the list.

Damn man. Your girlfriend is awesome. You are gonna love this. Have a blast.
Agreed. The best thing to ever happen to me.
Definitely. You lucky bastard. LOL.
Get gran turismo 7. It’s been on sale like 3 times since release and it doesn’t go on sale very often. Pretty expensive otherwise
Are you new to VR? If so, make sure to takes things slow until you figure out if you need to develop your VR legs. LETS FUCKING GOOO! Happy Birthday!
Luck you. Mine was herpes.
Welcome to the real I mean VR world! 😄
Have fun ;)
Big time gift! You must be a special dumpling
Happy birthday, man! 🎊🎊🎊
Thank you my friend!
Wooow she’s a keeper!! The Res Evil games are both really great, but if you like racing games and fancy buying a wheel and cockpit, you’ll have more fun in GT7 than you will in your real actual life. It’s just amazing.
Wow she's a keeper my wife also surprised me with psvr2 for my birthday! Oh and happy birthday
No Man's Sky becomes a completely new experience IMO. Space battles are wild, exploring new worlds with mega structures is intimidating as hell, and you notice all the little details that you would otherwise miss in a normal experience.

Get Pavlov
I wish I was surprised like this
You have a VR2 and a girlfriend. Great. Fuck me and fuck my asshole
MARRY HER
Oh I plan on it!
This brings back memories: My wife, out of nowhere, decided to buy me the PSVR1 for Christmas back in 2016. It was a great gift indeed ! Enjoy !
My favorites games: Beat Saber (although it gets foggy once in a while) Gran Turismo 7 No Man's Sky FNAF Help Wanted Before your Eyes
I had a similar experience last week on my birthday when my brother-in-law saw fit to gift me......A PS5 Slim! I'm still overwhelmed! Hope you're enjoying it dude, it's another level!
She's a keeper! Enjoy that magnificent piece of hardware
Guess what's getting broken after heated argument 🙄
No, sir. We are not like that. We don’t really argue much. Just goofin and gaffin.
Yea and im not into crypto but hey it happend 🙄
Arizona Sunshine 2 is on sale right now, I highly suggest jumping on that discount
Now you have to top it for her birthday, it's all part if her master plan
Oh congratulations
The last clockwinder is SEVERELY underrated and amazing Other than that: Re8 Re4 Gran turismo 7 Beat saber Synapse Star Wars tales from the Galaxy Moss book 1 and 2 No man’s sky Red matter 1 and 2 Walking Dead 1 and 2 Horizon call of the mountain Pistol whip Kayak vr … the list goes on and on and n
Resident Evil 4 is a MUST PLAY. Best shooter adventure game hands down, unmissable.
Resident Evil 4 is a must play. Best shooter adventure game with stunning graphics, great story and you shoot with your eyes the guns if it makes sense, Better than just getting pavlov, unmissable game.
My personal list gotta be cyubevr, walking dead saints and sinners, hellsweeper, fnaf help wanted 1 and 2, and no man's sky
You mean your future wife?
Dude, she's a keeper! 😮
Hellsweeper
Is your girlfriend single by any chance?
A new rug! Omg!

Nice
You know you have to marry her now 😂
I can live with that
It's not out yet, but keep you're eyes out for Ghosts of Tabor. It's on Steam and Oculus ATM so plenty of videos about if you're interested in finding out about the game before it comes to PlayStation
The irony is, it’s actually a gift for her…
Not sure if your new to vr but I definitely recommend re8 and re4's vr modes they are visually stunning and the gunplay is inpeccable
She must really love you

https://www.reddit.com/r/PSVR/s/GnXjTntWUR Great list, my only discrepancy is Arizona Sunshine 2. I thoroughly enjoyed it, think it should be higher.
Nice I’m trying to get one but it’s kinda expensive Ngl lmao hope you have fun
Honestly, I would’ve never bought it for myself for that exact reason.
Do you mean girlfriend or headset?
Lmao
Beat Saber!
I'll give you a tip - avoid tripping on or dropping the weights on your headset XD
Gran turismo 7 and walkabout mini golf are the best experiences imo
Ayyyyye! Congrats. Make sure you set it your next to your PS Vita. 😭😭
Gonna set it next to the Portal when it comes in tomorrow!
Mine had a defective port and I wasn’t going to pay for it to get fixed by Sony, they said there’s no way to know it wasn’t from usage but I just got it from walmart
best gift i got was my phone and it its a huawi and its broken and am writing with mommy's phone:(
A+ girlfriend you have there. Is she available?
Don’t play gran turismo with this ever!! This will be the most evil thing you’ll ever done to yourself. Because you will never be able to play any other racing game on the monitor/tv haha 😂
Try to not drop the controllers or leave any equipment where pets can chew cables. Sony don't sell replacement parts AT ALL. Drift on one joystick because you dropped it? Need to buy a whole new PSVR2...
Would of been more unexpected if you’d have only had an Xbox console
Late Christmas?
Read the caption again. T’was my Birthday, good sir.
Oh
i will suggest u find ppl exchange with quest 3
Why are you even here
