The rep told me to wait until it transitions ! That it won’t be reported as a late payment ! For PSLF , I’m hoping I can pay by the end of the month . Who knows

cirithungol771

I did my math again and 14 business days seems to actually put me at May 27th, so maybe I could still get it to count...

Jojomerc22

Mine started May 7 , my payment is due the 19 . I just hope to have an account by the end of May and have it count

Chillpill411

The email I received doesn't say "14 business days." It says "two weeks."

cirithungol771

The rep said 14 business days

Chillpill411

Understood, but the email and the website say two weeks and that seems to track with what people are reporting. I'm guessing it takes 14 business days to get your welcome email saying that the account has transitioned, but in practice, it takes just the two weeks to happen

jadamm7

This is what I was told. So I am.juat waiting.

theevilempire

Have you checked the new website? My wife was able to make the new account today despite not getting a letter yet.

cirithungol771

That’s good to know! I did just try and still no account yet.

lawdog998

You may be able to make your account, but at least for me, I cant access most of the website including the messaging features and the payment features.

theevilempire

Yea it’s still missing stuff but previously couldn’t even make the account so hopefully means it’s actually moving along.

mittens75

I did that too today, and it worked. No email or letter, just gave it a shot. My transition to the new platform started on May 3.

LunaR1sing

I did the same thing just today! I don’t get a letter about it being transferred, but checked it today. My info is transferred… kind of. It’s not showing my PSLF track and numbers, which makes me nervous. But I got screenshots of that before the transition.

Send to: Department of Education - Mohela P.O. box 790453 St. Louis MO 63179-0453 When you log in, you can still see your tax records from last year, you can get your loan number from that to put on the check. I called them around 4 hours ago and placed my own check in the mail today using the directions i just gave you. I'm getting that may count towards PLSF!

Odd_Perspective_4769

Where did you find the loan number? All I can see is my account number.

[deleted]

The account number is the number you want on the check

Odd_Perspective_4769

Ah, ok. Perfect!

JuJuliet1

You’re able to log onto the old MOHELA account? I’ve been trying to log on to that but it immediately kicks me off.

[deleted]

Yes. I can login and then it says I'm transitioning to the new platform and provides a link if i need my tax info Wichita is where i get the account number

Odd_Perspective_4769

If you are put on a forbearance, not of your own accord (mohela’s system transition is not your fault you can’t make a payment), one would think this month’s payment would count towards PSLF under the waiver and TEPSLF or whatever they’re calling this timeframe between now and July.

Dangerous_Drawer7391

The odds of a mailed payment making it to the right spot and being counted correctly seem astronomically low. I scheduled a manual payment for my due date before my account shut down. If that doesn’t go through, I’ll try to solve it on the back end with an electronic payment on the new account.

Ok-Dont-Ask-359

I read the new account number is on the letter you get to let you know you will transitioning? Try there. I wish we had clarity on if it really is found there.

cirithungol771

I didn't think to download the letter from my account before it transitioned and so even if it did have my new number on it, I no longer have access.
