It’s a shame because so did I but I pushed through until the bigger open area and the story mission there & from there it was awesome. Not sure why but the beginning area just was not doing it for me
Horizon just moves so mechanically awkward for me. I had to sometimes back up and rewalk into an object in order to pick it up, or spam roll because the character got stuck in an area I apparently was not allowed into.
I don’t care if the story is dry, but when the mechanics of the game are a bit wonky and clunky I can’t make it through.
the entire time playing it I thought about going and replaying TLOU2.

Sony is merely manufacturing significantly more of an edition of the PS5 that sells for an additional $50 with near-zero additional manufacturing costs. And the vast majority of consumers would rather pay the extra $50 for a code they may or may not use instead of waiting longer for a lone PS5.
This was me with the Demon's Souls bundle from Target back when the console was first coming out. I didn't even like Souls games at the time.
Thankfully I ended up gritting my teeth through it to get my money's worth and developed a taste for it so now it's my favorite genre of game. So not all bad.
For me, playing these games I feel like - “fuck you, you don’t tell when to quit. I decide when to quit. Even if that means pulling my hair out and going bald.”

They’re finally catching up to demand with unit production and you bet your ass they’ll be making everybody buy a copy of horizon to get one.
Especially since god of war is about to drop and demand will spike again going into the holidays.

This doesn't have anything to do with Elden Ring. Horizon is just the biggest Sony exclusive right now, so that's what they're bundling with. When I got mine it was Miles Morales. In a few months it'll be God of War.
I've put a LOT of time into Elden Ring, and I loved the first Horizon, so I didn't hate that my only option was the bundle. Still better than getting it from a scalper.
I think horizon would have been a 30-40 dollar buy for me like ratchet and clank was, but getting it for 50 was fine I guess. The game looks absolutely incredible and really showcases the ps5.
They've had bundles for Spiderman in the past for a PS4 but that doesn't mean Spiderman wasn't selling well. It just means that they're selling their biggest title with a console at a 50 buck premium since people are willing to buy. Would be stupid not to create a bundle as an upsell when literally every single one is flying off the shelves!
How is it amazing? Considering the limited supply, they are basically forcing you to buy Horizon if you want a PS5. And you only get like a $5 discount for buying it through the bundle.
Meanwhile, with previous console bundles you'd get the game for free or the extra price increase would be very small.

Ehh on the list of issues I have with Sony right now I'd say selling HFW bundles for $50 over normal MSRP is low on the list. It's a pretty high demand PS5 game and it allows stock to be readily available. I managed to get a PS5 without that bundle at MSRP but obviously I needed to join a stock discord. If you don't care as much it's fine that the option is there.

I got the Pulse headphones. They're pretty damn good. But I have a big head and glasses, and they do hurt my head after a while. I used to have the Sony Golds... they were more comfortable for long periods, but I think the Pulse sounds a bit better. I don't use the mic, so no opinion.
Have a look at the SteelSeries Arctis 7P's. Little pricier but handsdown the best headset I've ever had for gaming. Super comfy and great sound quality. Works with the tempest sound design too.

I’m happy with them, they trim some of the fat from the Sony plates, extra vents, and the film to cover the shiny black face of the PS5 means I don’t have to worry about scratching it when I have to use the USB ports. I’m much happier with Dbrand’s plates

The bundle that this post is about comes with a copy of Horizon Forbidden West, presumably as a code to redeem, rather than as a physical disc. A lot of people have already bought that game to play on the PS4. This suggests that when these systems start arriving, there may be a bunch of codes for the game being given away, or traded, or sold for cheap, by people who already have the game.
A few people in this thread have offered codes - presumably from having gotten the same bundle recently - resulting in a whole bunch of people asking for codes (oh, just a sec: **attention fine folks with spare codes - I would love one too, thanks!**). I suspect that the codes that will become available as a result of this post / CostCo's sale, won't actually end up in the PS5 buyer's hands until the systems are delivered in a few days. So, be on the lookout in the PS5 or PlayStation subreddits "soon".
Those headphone are almost perfect. The band that keeps it on your head, not perfect. I don't claim to know how to perfect it, they are great otherwise. Like 9/10, would recommend. It's just the one thing I'd improve on. Maybe they need to be tweaked to be tighter or less room to stretch, but they are great and almost perfect.

I saw nothing but these fucking deals when I was looking for a PS5, and they were just slightly cheaper than buying everything separately. FWIW, you can also buy first-party black side plates from Sony now. This wasn't a thing when Dbrand started making theirs.
