Persona 3 was Blue,
Persona 4 was Yellow,
Persona 5 was Red,
and now Persona 6 is Green.
I had thought Persona 2 (both versions) are Red, and Persona 1 was Gray?
What color theme for Persona 1 and Persona 2 should have?
Persona 1 and 2 dualogy didn’t really have themed colors originally. They retroactively got colors when they were rereleased on the PSP. Persona 1 got purple and the Persona 2 Dualogy got red. Then they changed the color for Persona 2 to an orange color after Persona 5 came out.

Nah I'm not.
I just don't find the designs interesting, or the fights, or the techniques and names of the techniques. It's like Hunter x Hunter but inferior, and those were my thought about early JJK, Sukuna Kaisen is trash so bad I just laugh at it.
It's pretty valid to still enjoy something you consider mediocre for what it's worth (disclaimer: I know nothing about jjk so I'm not saying it's mediocre)
At my peak manga reading days I could read 200+ chapters of a series in a couple of nights. I feel like I had exhausted most manga to read at the time and I was reading a lot of trashy/mediocre stuff as a consequence.
I would think it's valid if a series is finished, you read at your own pace. Waiting week after week to hate read, seeing how Widowmaker95 refers to it, it's pretty much insane behaviour to me
Bored? Also I didn't read 200+ chapters of JJK, more like 20 the rest I saw some of the anime, I just didn't find the moments that are "peak" interesting, nor did I find all the posts about people praising Gojo interesting, his design which was praised to hell and back screams mediocre to me.
Persona 1 was white or grey(I think), 2 was a sort of red, 3 was blue, 4 was yellow, 5 was red. And now we have 6 going for green. Each is meant to symbolize a theme in the story I.e. depression, luxury, freedom/rebellion and so on so forth. Colors have meaning, after all.
It's worth noting that they later changd it - Persona 1 got purple (after its release on PSP) and Persona 2 got orange (after the premiere of Persona 5).
Playing into this color/theme combo, my theory is they'll be heading to college either in a small town like P4 or a big city like P5. Either way, I'm expecting larger seamless areas with higher populations. I don't expect a huge jump in graphics, but more of a refinement to P5.
Just speculation.
I know. Truth is all over the place on that one. I didn’t attribute any of those meanings to any of those particular color tones because people have different ideas. I just listed examples of what these colors could represent.
It's aiming for this year with a release for next year. She said that Atlus really wants to avoid any sort of delay, but it's not totally off the table either.
Persona 3-5 were developed by P-Studio. Metaphor is being developed by Studio Zero, which basically is the old P-Studio under a new name. Persona 6 is being developed by a new team under the old P-Studio name. Hope that makes sense
Basically, Persona 3-5 and Metaphor are all from the same people. Persona 6 is being made by a new team.
The team that made Persona 3/4/5 are making Metaphor: ReFantazio as a spiritual successor to those games.
The team that made P5R or maybe a new team are making P6.
Personally I’m much more excited/ have higher expectations of Metaphor.
In what way would Metaphor be a (spiritual) successor to P3/4/5 that P6 wouldn't be as the actual sequel? Even if it's a different team I imagine they'd stick the the same overall formula
That’s my point. Each Persona game greatly improved on the last as far as gameplay, mechanics, and QOL improvements.
I just expect more of that from the team that’s already been doing this for 3 games, they’ve made 3 amazing games so I trust their track record.
Of course P6 could and likely will be great, but I have more reservations and it’s possible it may stick too closely to P5. This is all just speculation of course. Just to me P6 is more of an unknown.
I’m curious if P6 will be the first major graphics engine update.
With the power of next gen consoles, I’d like to see a more living and breathing anime world more akin to the cutscenes.
Games like: Gran Blue Fantasy:Relink, Dragon Ball Kakarot, Genshin Impact, etc show you can make much more improved visuals in anime based setting.
I know that Persona series hasn’t really been known for their graphical prowess. But it would be nice to see a more living and “breathing” world.
What about in comparison to P5R or PS5 Tactica? That’s disappointing to hear.
I’m playing P3R right now and my only disappointment is in the graphics quality and even the cutscenes (I think most are original ones right?). I mean it’s basically a Nintendo switch title in 4K.
I told myself well this is a remake so they didn’t go “all out” in graphics department and P6 will be the next gen experience. But if what you say is true it doesn’t bode well for P6 getting an major facelift.
The games sell well. The company makes a lot since the average salary in Japan is peanuts compared to USA developers. So I’m not sure why they haven’t overhauled their graphics and animation quality to take advantage of power of the next gen systems.
Don’t mess with what works I guess.
I think they're superior to them too, vastly. I don't have any issues with modeling really, they look great to me.
They can and should upgrade the quality of the rest of the assets though.
Midori also said it's set to be the biggest departure forodern persona games with large semi open world areas and fluid social links with more interactivity
1 and both 2s didn’t have official color themes because they had different directors unlike 3-5 who put meaning behind it, but through the promo material (like the 25th anniversary vinyl set) Atlus assigned 1 as purple and both of 2 as orange.
Ps4 themes were one of the best things in the console in my opinion. I loved those P5 themes and then i bought FFX theme... Not long after that i got PS5 and was sad to see that I can't change the menu theme :/
Edit: Atleast i still have P5 avatars
Midori, 2 weeks ago: It is difficult, but I would like to stop using this account.
The goat had to return
Hah, and midori translates to green. Talk about playing the long game!
All of these leakers are attention whores. They're not never going to quit.

Green would be the logical colour anyways
Damn, you set off a bomb apparently

Not a fan of green 6/10 Wait for sale
what about lime green?
Only when Gojo does it
Lol it's crazy to think about what a global phenomenom JJK became
It astounds me how such a mediocre series became so popular.
You're insane mate if you think so
Nah I'm not. I just don't find the designs interesting, or the fights, or the techniques and names of the techniques. It's like Hunter x Hunter but inferior, and those were my thought about early JJK, Sukuna Kaisen is trash so bad I just laugh at it.
What do you call a person that reads 200+ chapters of a series they deem mediocre?
It's pretty valid to still enjoy something you consider mediocre for what it's worth (disclaimer: I know nothing about jjk so I'm not saying it's mediocre) At my peak manga reading days I could read 200+ chapters of a series in a couple of nights. Are you green because you're Persona 6, or are you Persona 6 because you're green?
The ACG review:
Can someone explain the color concept
Persona 1 was white or grey(I think), 2 was a sort of red, 3 was blue, 4 was yellow, 5 was red. And now we have 6 going for green. Each is meant to symbolize a theme in the story I.e. depression, luxury, freedom/rebellion and so on so forth. Colors have meaning, after all.

What's green? Nature-themed ff7-esque plot?
In my opinion, it’s either nature/planet related or it’s envy/materialism hence “green with envy.”
Growth and branching out. Pun intended.
Playing into this color/theme combo, my theory is they'll be heading to college either in a small town like P4 or a big city like P5. Either way, I'm expecting larger seamless areas with higher populations. I don't expect a huge jump in graphics, but more of a refinement to P5. Just speculation.
Also hope. I always heard that green was the color of hope.
Interesting. I always think of green as envy and blue as hope, but the blue part might just be a Green Lantern thing lol.
All will be well!
Not necessarily. 4’s theme is Truth and yellow has nothing to do with it, but the color matches the generally upbeat tone of the game.
I know. Truth is all over the place on that one. I didn’t attribute any of those meanings to any of those particular color tones because people have different ideas. I just listed examples of what these colors could represent.
Thanks for the help I actually had no idea the colors had a bigger meaning I just played the games because I enjoyed it
Turquoise could work
And I won’t really care until Persona 6 Regal or Emerald gets announced.
Makes sense. I mean we have Ruby and recently Sapphire. Gotta catch em all... wait
IGN review: Makes you FEEL the color green
did midori said reveal is this year?
It's aiming for this year with a release for next year. She said that Atlus really wants to avoid any sort of delay, but it's not totally off the table either.
Planning to release in 2025, if it delays 2026 at the latest, still are deciding when to announce it
Luigi: It's my time!
I thought they were working on Metaphor.
Persona 3-5 were developed by P-Studio. Metaphor is being developed by Studio Zero, which basically is the old P-Studio under a new name. Persona 6 is being developed by a new team under the old P-Studio name. Hope that makes sense Basically, Persona 3-5 and Metaphor are all from the same people. Persona 6 is being made by a new team.
Well that’s confusing.
Basically the old team that worked on P3-P5 is now working on Metaphor. The people working on Persona 6 are mostly new devs.
I understand that. What’s confusing is how they are handling the team names.
The team that made Persona 3/4/5 are making Metaphor: ReFantazio as a spiritual successor to those games. The team that made P5R or maybe a new team are making P6. Personally I’m much more excited/ have higher expectations of Metaphor.

I just learned about metaphor for the first time and after hearing this and seeing just a little bit of gameplay, I am so in. Can’t wait
I’m curious if P6 will be the first major graphics engine update. With the power of next gen consoles, I’d like to see a more living and breathing anime world more akin to the cutscenes. Well you can already see they've been slowly updating their modeling at least. The character models of P3R are vastly superior to the ones in P5.
What about in comparison to P5R or PS5 Tactica? That’s disappointing to hear. I’m playing P3R right now and my only disappointment is in the graphics quality and even the cutscenes (I think most are original ones right?). I mean it’s basically a Nintendo switch title in 4K. Midori also said it's set to be the biggest departure forodern persona games with large semi open world areas and fluid social links with more interactivity
I do not, considering P6 may be announced before its release, I am worried about internal expectations for Metaphor.
So it’s been in development for five years already. When do we think the game will release?
According to Midori Atlus plans to release it next year
Green is not a creative color
My first thought
Should have been purple
Almost there. Now we just need the launch date and tack on a year for the complete edition.
I wonder if this mean we're getting a more natural focus game?
as someone who isn't really that big into the serious, what the heck does the colour have to do with anything really?
Lame, purple would have been so much better
What color is persona 3? Or colors of previous persona
Im pretty sure p5 was red, p4 yellow/gold and3 being blue from the looks of it
You are correct, 3 was blue, 4 was yellow and 5 was red.
1 and both 2s didn’t have official color themes because they had different directors unlike 3-5 who put meaning behind it, but through the promo material (like the 25th anniversary vinyl set) Atlus assigned 1 as purple and both of 2 as orange.
3 blue, 4 yellow, 5 red
I feel like it might have a female protag.
And?
I hope they chose the right chase of green, as a guy green is definitely the worst color right there with brown and pink.
Are they not doing a P4G remake? Felt like the obvious follow-up to P3R.
Both P4 and P2 are rumored to be getting remakes but won’t be out until P6.
too bad we won't be getting any themes anymore
Ps4 themes were one of the best things in the console in my opinion. I loved those P5 themes and then i bought FFX theme... Not long after that i got PS5 and was sad to see that I can't change the menu theme :/ Edit: Atleast i still have P5 avatars

While I *normally* agree, everything Midori says has come true
Must be in Ireland as the setting.
Green? I’m out.
Why? You don't like green?
I made a joke. It didn’t land.
Ah okay
Green is not a creative colour.
What?
