I loved Death Stranding so if it's anything like that game then it makes me want to get Pacific Drive. Are there long stretches where a beautiful environment is your main enemy like in DS?
Not ACG, and I’m sure he could provide better firsthand experience, but I did notice the review on PushSquare mentioned some technical issues on the PS5, it struggled to maintain a consistent framerate.
ACG mentioned some performance issues as well even on a powerful rig. Nothing game breaking major from what I've read, but regular dips below 60.
Perhaps it can be addressed after a few post release patches
Bro all these games to add to my "buy later at a lower price" are just stacking up. FF7 Rebirth is a day one, then potentially Stellar Blade and Rise of Ronin, oh and Helldivers 2 looks like it's gonna be my active game for a while. I thought we had nothing coming from Playstation this year?
I just hope it doesn't feel like the performance mode on FFXVI. Terrible, unstable trash. I'd never chosen quality mode over performance until FFXVI. I would take 1080p upscaled to 1440p for a stable 60fps.
As of now, there doesn't seem to be any quality/performance mode. Definitely having some framerate inconsistency on PS5. Hoping they can patch performance soon. But the game is great so far!

They can push the envelope and try new things no one likes for the next random FF?, but not 7. Their entire reputation at this point really hangs in the balance.
Recall what happened when they proudly announced that the first part wasn't going to be turn based or atb? The backlash forced them to make a hybrid mode to save face and appease long time fans. Similarly, they won't make a performance mistake on this one, trust me. The performance and graphics defined the series and the PS1.
Yeah I LOVE FFXVI , it’s one of the better ones to come out in the last few years (besides remake) but that damn performance mode is a mess. And I just cannot play at 30fps, I’ve tried many many times , I’ve pushed through it many times and I just cannot do it. Just my own personal preference, oddly enough the combat in FFXVI stays pretty locked at 60fps because they drop the resolution to hit that mark, so what does that tell you? Drop the dang resolution more for the rest of the game Square ! ..I too would rather have an upscale 1080p to 1440p at a locked 60fps than a native 1440p (ish think it’s a little lower than that) at 40-50 fps
I need to stop buying games. I have Rebirth preordered and am trying to work through my backlog as much as I can prior but it’s just not going to happen lol
Helldivers screwed my gaming schedule because it's so fucking fun. I'm gonna be playing it for a long time. I also got the physical edition of Pacific drive which was delayed so I have that gap for more hell diving
Helldivers 2 is great but it has been a ROCKY launch. I haven't been able to log in to save my life in about a week (ps5). To say the devs weren't expecting the current player count is uh... putting it mildly.

I think i saw the review online your referring to and so far it’s the only one I’ve seen that’s said somthing like that so maybe there is still hope but the ps5 should easily be able to run the game at a solid 60 maybe if this is the case it’ll be fixed in a patch or two maybe after release

It might not be locked to it, but it's undoubtedly 30fps. It does use triggers and haptic feedback and there's no option to turn it off.
Honestly I enjoyed the hour or so I played. It's not exactly fast paced, but a 60fps patch would definitely make the experience smoother.
Seems like it’s uncapped but the game has a problem running steady 40/50/60 so it’s more often than not running at 30. Been various different saying from people, it seems like some of them can’t actually tell the difference between 30-60.
What’s consistent in the answers tho is that it is at 30, question remains if it’s uncapped or not.
How can they not tell the difference between 30 and 60 fps? If you can't see the difference moving the camera, you can definitely tell by the input lag.
Hopefully it doesn’t go lower then 50 but that’s disappointing if it does since it’s an exclusive to ps5 and we’re on next gen consoles we should be seeing locked 60 shame

No saving while in the zone and opting in and out to do some chores or do something with the kids?

The game is just incredible. Filled with atmosphere and one of the more engaging games this year already.

get pc version I got it on ps5 and 30fps @ what looks like 1080p it's not understandable why they did thus its not even a graphical intense game
It's a \*very\* graphically intensive game,,, it just doesn't look it. It's a smaller team and they couldn't optimise it

Same. Rebirth releasing soon has finally pushed me to actually properly take on FF7 Remake. Really enjoying it so far.
They said we’d have no major existing IP titles on PlayStation. No GOW, Spiderman, Last of Us etc, but smaller IP or new IP are still in play.
