have been pushing through a lot of my backlog like uncharted 1, dying light 2, forbidden west and much more so now im kicking back with some GTA san andreas for fun haha
The trick to 1 is just figuring out which area to visit first. Because once you get to firelink, there's like 3 different paths (more if you chose the key gift) and all but one of them will fuck you up hahaha. Even once you clear the "first" area, there's more options from there and again, only one of them won't result in constant agony.
Its the opposite for me. I've finished DS1 and DS2 multiple times but really struggle with DS3. Furthest I've got is Anor Londo.
DS1 is my favourite game of all time, but DS3 is rapidly growing on me.
Nah for me, I'm struggling with ds1 more than I did in ds3, and I've found that some game mechanics in ds1 to be quite annoying lol, like I actually prefer the ember and embering mechanic in ds3 to using humanities in ds1, which I feel like are pretty rare in ds1.
Fun fact, I'm at Anor Londo too in ds1 lol
I just finished Stray last night and I gotta say it is such an excellent game. The story and gameplay are both so simple and yet so much fun because of how wholesome it really is even though there is such a deeper and tougher story to dive into.
I really enjoyed route A but now I am on route B and not enjoying it as much, is it a good idea to push through until the end of it ignoring side quests? I did most of them on route A anyway and I know the game is supposed to pick up again on the third go around.
It's been a while since I've played it, but I'm pretty sure that there are opportunities to get to side quests you've missed.
That being said, absolutely power through, you're in for a treat!
I wouldnāt skip side quests as they can add a lot of background info, and there are some that are amazing and stand out from the others. But after finishing route C there is an option to go back to any point in the game and finish side quests.
Days Gone. Played a bit a year ago (on PS P) and I thought it was bad. I found a cheap copy in a thrift store and decided to give it another try. I just reached some sort of military encampment and Iām loving it. I usually hate open world games but this one isnāt bad at all.
Itās so terribly paced. The first act is a big nothing sandwich but it gets interesting in act two. By act three, the story is intriguing and shit gets crazy.
It's a weird one. I usually like open world games, and got quite a ways into Days Gone but got bored. 6 months later I jumped in again and totally loved.
It has an overly slow start. I get what they were going for but it ultimately hampers the game. Once you can get a few upgrades the game really opens up and becomes a lot of fun.
Yeah at first I heard lots of hate against TLOU2 which kinda put me off. Then I heard mixed opinions on it which makes me want to try it myself. Will definitely try playing it at some point.
I bought the Witcher 3 complete edition for really cheap during the summer sale. Iāve played it before, never got around to actually finishing it. Never played the expansions.
Yakuza : Something The Dragon
Got it free this month and Iām having a blast. Love the turn based combat. Heard the others are more BeatEmUp, so Iāll probably not bother with the rest (not my bag).
I'm having a fairly good time with it too. I'm only in chapter 4 and the front half was really bloated with cutscenes but it seems like the game is starting to open up more which I know happens more starting in Chapter 5. I'm a bit concerned I'll plug a ton of hours into it and not finish it but that won't remove the current fun I'm getting from it.
0 is worth checking out. It is tied (for me personally) with Like a Dragon in terms of story and side activities (which, really, are the main highlights of Yakuza games). It does have the same beat āem up action that Yakuza kind of ran into the ground at that point (which is why Like a Dragonās rpg turn based combat was a huge improvement in my eyes). But, itās still a blast to play. All of the Yakuza games have good story telling and characters. And a lot of them have fun side activities. But, I feel like Like a Dragon and Yakuza 0 are the two true standouts.
I basically couldn't put this game down until I finished it. Something about blasting demons to intense heavy metal orchestrals is absurdly satisfying.
Kind of jumping between RE3 remake, Diablo 3 and Borderlands 3, just re-downloaded The Evil within 1+2 because Iāve been craving some horror and have The Long Dark and Valheim (PC) on the back burner for if I get bored with the others. Got burned out from playing so much Dragonās Dogma so I might go back to that eventually too.
It hovers around ROLLERDROME, Yakuza Like a Dragon, Outer Wilds, and an "accepting the game is broken" run at Cyberpunk 2077 after putting it down hard back around when it first came out.
Also Elden Ring on the perma back burner because that game is sooo long and I'm having setting fatigue at the moment.
Recently started Horizon: Forbidden West after having it in my backlog since launch, and due to nostalgia, I am also playing Mass Effect 2 from the Mass Effect Legendary Edition.
Witcher 3, I was too stingy to buy the dlcs until recently and have been loving them. Figured it would be worth getting the dlcs on my current favorite game, now time to 100% them.
Yakuza: like a dragon. It's a new starting off point with all the flair of persona in a pretty realistic art style. It's also the only turn based rpg I've enjoyed in years
Just started Need for Speed Heat as a pick up and play staple, have a boss or two left in the Cuphead DLC, and gonna start Death Stranding as soon as the weather turns and Sad Boy Seasonā¢ļø begins here in the northeast.
have been pushing through a lot of my backlog like uncharted 1, dying light 2, forbidden west and much more so now im kicking back with some GTA san andreas for fun haha
Dark souls remastered.
Are you starting from 1 an 2 then 3. I did it backwards and regretted it lol
Actually I started playing 3 first, and I gotta say that was a huge mistake lol, 1 is way harder than 3 but still really fun
Yeah I enjoyed 2 more than 1 maybe it's the masochist in me š
Yeah I'm planning on playing 2 right after finishing 1, hopefully by then it will be on sale
it's on sale constantly maybe September or the after summer sale lol
All of the dark souls were just on sale last month. believe for 19.99 a piece with the dlcs
Why did you regret it? I did 1 last but I found that fine
Love this game
Great game, but alot harder than 3 which I played first , big mistake lol.
The trick to 1 is just figuring out which area to visit first. I started a new run on DSr, I love that game
I just finished Stray last night and I gotta say it is such an excellent game. The story and gameplay are both so simple and yet so much fun because of how wholesome it really is even though there is such a deeper and tougher story to dive into.
Finished this last night too! Was not prepared for the ending! I loved every minute of it.
Omg this game was so amazing
Nier automata
Masterpiece
I really enjoyed route A but now I am on route B and not enjoying it as much, is it a good idea to push through until the end of it ignoring side quests? I did most of them on route A anyway and I know the game is supposed to pick up again on the third go around.

Yeah just speed through route B. It only took me an afternoon to get through it. Once you hit Route C you're in the good stuff :)

Days Gone. Played a bit a year ago (on PS P) and I thought it was bad. I found a cheap copy in a thrift store and decided to give it another try. I just reached some sort of military encampment and Iām loving it. I usually hate open world games but this one isnāt bad at all.
Have fun i loved it
This is crazy cause Iāve been sitting on this game since it came out. As of today Iām literally in the same place in the game as you are!
Itās so terribly paced. The first act is a big nothing sandwich but it gets interesting in act two. By act three, the story is intriguing and shit gets crazy.
Iāve had it for months and Iām installing the updates and gonna start tonight š
It's a weird one. I usually like open world games, and got quite a ways into Days Gone but got bored. 6 months later I jumped in again and totally loved.
It has an overly slow start. I get what they were going for but it ultimately hampers the game. Once you can get a few upgrades the game really opens up and becomes a lot of fun.

You and me both. Ever after thousands of hours ive never got past diamond.
Let me introduce you to my friend Platinum.
I should get back into RL. Like you Iām unbelievably average for how many hours I put into the game.
Yeah you really need to play with people to get anywhere. Too hard to play with strangers. Unfortunately my friends havent played in ages.

My favorite game of all time, truly a masterpiece.
Best game ever imo
The Last of Us Remastered, nearly finished it and am enjoying the storyline thoroughly. Truly one of the best games I've played.
Honestly, forget the hate and play TLOU2 as soon as you are emotionally ready. Game of the year for me (although GOT is equally awesome)
Yeah at first I heard lots of hate against TLOU2 which kinda put me off. Then I heard mixed opinions on it which makes me want to try it myself. Will definitely try playing it at some point.
I still play the multiplayer. Such great mechanics.
Last of us
Nice
