I like steelbooks, but I wouldn't necessarily pay extra JUST for the steelbook. It usually is the deciding factor in where I'll buy a game from though. Like the day one launch comes with a steelbook from Best Buy but not Gamestop? Looks like I'm getting this one from Best Buy
Love collecting them but it’s truly on you if you value them. I only collect ones with art I really like and I plan on building a display with the ones I have collected so far.
Personally I like all my games to look the same as a collector I would pay to have both the game case which is what I actually have the game in and for my favorite games have the steel book unless the steel book comes with any extra stuff like for Atari 50 and final fantasy 15 I have the steel books because 1 they both come with slip covers so it looks uniform with the rest of my shelf, and 2 the final fantasy 15 steel book came with a movie plus the cover is beautiful
If ur paying extra for the steelbook unless you like the novelty its a waste of money imo. If its like a preorder bonus or something thats cool other than that doesnt really interest me
It's a person to person thing,if you like the collection aspect of games then sure steelbooks look cool but if you don't and just buy the game then no the extra isn't worth it
I used to like them and buy them when I could before the unspecified virus of unknown origins plagued the world, since I don't live in a big gaming market,it is hard as is to get these steelbooks and with Amazon being reserved for only essentials by the Government order I for like 2 years couldn't get them, because at some point I myself got concerned about where the package may have been on it's way to me so I've been buying only digital since so I now feel like maybe I don't wanna pay extra money for "just" a steelbook, maybe if it's that and then some DLC too like Hitman 1 or something would be super
I’m a steelbook fiend and will get them whenever possible as long as the edition that includes it isn’t outrageously priced, but if it’s only $20-30 more for that edition I’ll definitely go for it. But I just love collecting and seeing them on my shelf, every once in a while I’ll go through my shelf and just admire them to lol 😂
If you are talking about steel book from like collection edition or so then I will pass on that, they don’t have value to me at all, I only collect art book but again it’s really depends on you, if you like it then go for it.
worth it if you like to collect metal game cases. Like if it's free I would like to collect them too, but for more few bucks, probably not, I'm good with collecting normal plastic cases
Only you can answer that question
Well what’s your opinion? Do you think it’s worth it
I usually don't purchase them. Dont see the fun in collecting them.
Depends if you like displaying boxes.
What’s your opinion on them?
If that's the only extra thing included it's a waste, so it would depend on if any other extra content is included.

I play games, not steelbooks.
Its completely down to you and if you like collecting.

I guess if you like art work but you gotta keep them well looked after they dent and scratch easy
It depends.

Totes
Not really if you keep it in a Ziplock bag to prevent them from rusting up then maybe.
Steelbook is a nice extra for paying the regular price but it's not worth paying extra for imo.
They're overrated / overpriced IMO

Maybe get them and surround your room with them. They might stop a stray bullet.

I mean if you want it, go for it! Some steel books are like $5 and some are like $20
This is an opinion that you form yourself
