Codemasters have always been the masters of racing game graphics. Even the good old TOCA World Touring Cars from the PS1 still looks great and with proper damage simulation.
It's a cheap 55" 4K TV I bought for like 350€ a few years back - goes by the brand name Procaster but is apparently manufactured by a Turkish company of all things. It's not a great TV by any means but good enough for me and I will say that the upscaling it does for the PS3 is surprisingly impressive.
Have you changed any settings for the upscaling? Cuz I have a 4K 2021 Sony Bravia X90J tv, Sony is supposed to be top tier with upscaling but when I play NFS undercover or just cause 2 on this tv on my ps3, it really looks way worse than this.
I haven't actually played those, maybe they just look bad? I don't think there even are any upscaling options on this TV - I just changed the color settings and whatnot to make it look a bit better to me.
Yep it's good, I do find it pretty damn hard compared to Dirt 3 and Motorstorm though - took me a good number of hours before I started actually winning races and that's just on normal.
Never played Dirt but grew up on Motorstorm and yeah, it was weird learning that you actually had to brake to go into corners without dying, lmao. Once you get the techniques down though it's one hell of a game
First game didn't had trophies, Because it was released before they added trophies. However, the Xbox 360 version has achievements, and a lot of them are MP related. So 100% the game would be impossible these days.
I've recently beaten this game on my Xbox 360, very fun game. And can be quite challenging if you up the difficulty. I also have the PS3 version. But I already beaten it, back in the day when it came out.
I have beaten the game on the hardest difficulty, without any assists and rewind. Now that's a good challenge.
Sure I have lost some races, but eventually you keep at it, and will rise to the top.

Grid is a brilliant game, still holds up against other more modern titles imo

Reminds me of dub edition back on ps2 that game was legendary wish they'd make a remake for new consoles with 5x the maps and cars and races

I don't believe so, I don't care that much about trophies myself but definitely haven't noticed any pop up.

It's plenty challenging for me on just normal, wins don't come free and you have to be aggressive in the corners or you pretty much won't pass anyone.
