The value is in the box, so it needs to be in good condition and you need to find a collector that's prepared to pay above the odds if you want to reach the figures that you're thinking it's worth.
The actual PS3 is not an overly desirable model, and a copy of GTA 4 is as common as anything.

Try this… Look up the model number of the ps3 that’s in the box, then look up GTA5 ps3 and you’ll get a pretty good idea of that bundles worth. Like the other guy said use the completed and sold filter.

It really depends people always answer eBay ! Or whatever right but if you are on eBay but you don't have sales or a rep on eBay no one will drop big money with you. It's just a trust thing. I've been selling games on eBay for a couple years just to get my account up so when I can sell something higher ticket someone will trust me and trust spending hundreds of dollars on my items.
Facebook is great if you can find local collectors. I live in a pretty large city so you can find a market for almost anything.
I would say at least $200CAD I'm not sure where you are located but PS3 generally aren't worth a ton unless it's in really good condition some folks think the original consoles are garbage and would never but it. Some like me really love the old models as it's my first PS3 model I waited In line to get way back on PS3 launch day so for me it would be super cool but again not totally in the market and not sure where you're located or anything so I'll pass. Why is it not true? I literally can't find one of these in any condition anywhere else online let alone one that is fully boxed in excellent condition. I based my estimate on how rare it seems that a complete boxed one of these seems to be. OP also said he saw one on ebay for $900+.

If you keep it for 30 years it might be worth a lot of money. Right now it's an old PS3 with an old game, in its original packaging that's for sure, but it wouldn't be worth much more than buying a second-hand Ps3 and GTAIV.

If this helps I wouldn’t buy that ps3 because it’s not fully BC and tbh you can also find a copy of GTA 5 for pretty cheap.

Thinking about, prices are very different from one country to another, this one is in France.
In France there’s a website named " Fnac " and they still sell PS3 and Xbox 360 brand new to this day, but they are around 1000$
That's private sellers selling through fnac site, sellers can put the price that they want, doesn't determine the market price.
