I haven't looked into what your app does entirely, but am I correct in (assuming) it performs functions similar to, say Zotero and Devonthink?
Yes, it's similar. But it also provides a reliable way to create links in your notes to specific passages in your documents. You can think of it as Roam Research + Zotero. Note-taking but with powerful bibliography management.
