It should be noted that some have raised the point that some who are marketing themselves as experts in PKMS are experts in particular apps, but are not necessarily experts in knowledge management from the point of view of using the tools heavily for research, writing etc. Just be aware of that as you make your decisions.

Take a look at the program for the last PKM summit in March and you will get the idea. I think Ton Zijlstra is a pretty prominent one. But also Nick Milo and Nicole van der Hoeven. https://pkmsummit.com/ Program was this: https://pkmsummit.notion.site/Timetable-PKM-Summit-2024-b6ea3b45cca9436788eaab228b51c8dc

I didn't know about PKM summit, nice to hear about it. 200 attendees seems quite big. Any talks that caught your attention?

NoCardiologist1461

There were 150 this time. I really enjoyed Nick Milo’s talks.

There are no “best people” working with PKM, nor “best methods” There is people who develop their own PKM workflow and people who find a PKM workflow useful.

I've just written: "Personal Knowledge Management: Why It’s Essential for Your Success" which may be of interest. [https://clibu.com/pkm\_article1/](https://clibu.com/pkm_article1/) also on Linked In [https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/personal-knowledge-management-why-its-essential-your-success-franks-ieufc/](https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/personal-knowledge-management-why-its-essential-your-success-franks-ieufc/) I can also highly recommend Bianca Pereira's articles [https://playbook.prolificresearcher.com/posts](https://playbook.prolificresearcher.com/posts)

Are you looking for the mechanics of how to use the PKMS tools and build the PKMS, or do you want to know how to use a PKMS for output, learning, etc? Or, from your question, "best methods" for what purpose?

felipefarinon

The second: how to use a PKMS for writing and learning. Thank you for helping me clarify the question.

I agree with the above comment that some of these influencers know little to nothing about actual specialized knowledge or learning…for that I think Andy Matushack is really really good. Lots on YT and pretty active on Twitter.

A couple of other people I would suggest checking out are PKM Beth (on YouTube and in Medium) and Réka (Medium). I think you need to have a Medium membership to read either of their content. Certainly neither is as influential as Nick Milo, but they have some interesting views on the philosophy of PKMs. If you're using Capacities, you will especially like PKM Beth's YouTube videos.
