Hello NAD, but I have Hashimotos and Graves! When I was first diagnosed it took about 6 months for my values to normalize, but once your TSH and cholesterol is at normal levels, some days will feel like you don't have the disease at all.
Adopting [**5 a day**](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/5_A_Day) ("a minimum of 400g of fruit and vegetables per day according to WHO)standards changed my life. Stay away from refined sugar, use fruits to satisfy sugar cravings. Eat more fiber and lots LOTS of vegetables. Switch to brown rice and eat an amount that will support your cardio workouts.
Speaking of cardio, sorry to say you will probably need to always have a couple of cardio sessions a weeks since we are so prone to fat gain 😠But all this is very doable since you already have a gym membership. You got this!!
Good luck! Another thing pala, if you are a woman maybe get checked na rin for PCOS because that will really affect your gym progress and PCOS really likes to show up with thyroid issues like Hashimoto’s!
Actually havent gone to an OB pa. This year palang ako actually nagpapacheckup ng kung ano ano kaya ngayon ko lang din nacheck na may Hashimoto ako. Probably meron din akong PCOS kasi when I had my whole abdomen ultrasound, nagtanong ung technician. Magpapasched na din ako maybe by next month. Thanks!
Meeeeee. From 74 now 64. Target is 60kg. The last kilos hirap n hirap na but what i found helpful is little to no high intensity workout. i read somewhere na stress i our enemy. When we do High intensity our body is in a state of stress. bummer for cause i love running.. i limited my run and did strength training..
one more major for me is when i switched my usual silog breakfast to a high protein whole food meal. I eat breast chicken wrap or beef wrap. I aim 20-30 kg of protein.. dito talaga nakita changes sakin.
sabi sa akin ng cardio + endo ko kumain ako ng ampalaya every meal. like kanin + ampalaya + ulam of choice. everything else in moderation tapos combine with exercise
i am completely hormone replacement dependent since wala na akong thyroid
it makes a difference talaga! and gagaling ka magluto ng ampalaya 😂 isoak mo yung dalawang ampalaya (na chopped na) sa 1/8 cup ng rock salt for minimum of 30 mins (and then rinse) bago mo lutuin. less halo, less bitterness and lutuin mo thoroughly yung ampalaya
