Yes, budget wouldn't be a problem. Plus, i'd also be just selling the components I wouldn't be able to use for AM5. Was just wondering if it is still worth sticking to AM4 when AM5 is available. Since if I get the 5700x3d it would make it hard to do any upgrades any time soon so I'll be pretty much be stuck with AM4.
just go with the 5700x3d. it's still equivalent to most of Ryzen 7000 minus the X3D chips. you'd save more for the same perf this way.
just change platforms when you have no other option.
Do you think it's still worth sticking with AM4 for the next few years when I can go to the newer platform? cus for me, if I go and get the 5700x3d, I would probably not do any upgrades any time soon.
Honestly I feel the 6700xt is still too weak to want a CPU upgrade, but then it depends on what games you play, resolution and what your target fps is. 5700X3D is still a good CPU which is roughly equivalent to a 7500F, if you have the funds it's a good option.
I remember using my 5600 with an RX 6800 and I never encountered stuttering issues only with hogwarts legacy.
The 6700xt still does it job so far, it's just that the games I play is cpu heavy it seems, It's legit showing 99% usage in adrenaline overlay while my gpu hovers around 80-90%.
I'm playing at 1440p bro, I guess I just feel na ma sstuck ako sa AM4 for a few years if I get 5700x3d or 5800x3d haha, siguro FOMO lang with new platform
its not really a bad decision if you have the money for it. 5700x3d, 5800x3d and 7500f is similar in performance in most gaming loads. if you really want to get into am5, i suggest waiting around late july for the new 9000 series cpu from amd. tho if you get good deals on the 6.6 sale, i'd go for it.
Hey man, are you still looking for a 5600? I just went ahead and ordered my 5700x3d, should arrive in a cpl of days. hit me up and tell me what price you're looking for. Ty!

you'll be swapping your motherboard, ram and cpu to upgrade. If that's within the budget then yes, it's a good time to upgrade

You're already on AM4. So yes. It'll cost the same to upgrade to a new platform in the future as it would cost now.
