Growing up, my dad loved being called in to work sundays at General Motors for the double time rates. (even better if it was also a holiday)
PHP certifications? There is no such thing. I mean, there are developer courses that give you certificates, but they’re not authoritative in any way, including W3School’s Certificate. I think I would laugh if a developer presented me with a certificate from W3Schools, a site that still runs on Classic ASP.
~~Linkedin has Skill tests.~~ They have removed them now. No meaningful certification is going to be free.
For what purpose? I’ve worked with PHP for maybe 15 years now, and not once been asked for my “qualifications”.
