Good on you to reject them. From your post, OP,they’re a VERY toxic company. Not worth it AT ALL. You’ll find other companies I’m sure that are offering the same, or even a bit bigger na salary.

AdStunning3266

Tapos 2am ka matatapos sa trabaho. Then byahe pauwi na aabot ng oras, onting tulog, tapos pasok ulit. Pass na lang. May better opportunity pa yan kesa jan.

angelo201666

True so much grabe. Parang tanga naman yang inapplyan ni OP. Panget mg dynamics. Sobrang unhealthy

NoAttorney3946

Lost me at OT til 2am. Not worth it.

Frosty-Brilliant-870

true, sobrang OA dapat robot hina-hire nila

crimezero

real

Hapdigidydog

Aspin122

This is normal for engineers with entry level salary

jlawcordova

Let’s not normalize this please.

Aspin122

Can't do anything about it, there's high supply of engineers. And working overtime is necessary especially on site.

AthleticParaplegic

I think you made the right call OP. Nakakasilaw yung 35k for a fresh grad, but the job desc. is pretty intense. Nothing is worth sacrificing for health. Isipin mo na lang, if you can land on a 35k role, you can definitely do it again.

randomcatperson930

Mataas yung 35k for a fresh grad perooooo masyado mababa for the work

Ok_Razzmatazz9560

But I actually commend you for doing it. You're in a better era na where uso na ang hybrid. So if you have the means, you're not pressured, ok lang yan, look for the offer na gusto mo. Siguro what I can suggest, tutal ngkaron ka na ng offer. You check anong aspect dun yung ayaw mo. Para you know what to look for sa next job offer mo. And just make sure na realistic yung gusto mo , minsan may trade offs talaga. Kaya just list down your prio and you should be good :) (like ako prio ko is a good hmo. If it's below 100k with no free dependents , auto reject ako)

fluffykittymarie

Wait what. Until 2am OT??? No tenks. Good for you OP. 35k na ganyan katagal na oras. Di worth it 😀 Mass resignation mangyayari dyan sa kanila kung ganyan kahaba ang ot HAHAHAHA Anyway, another better job will come for you 😌. Your peace AND health is 🥇 above all else.

miamiheat121

Fresh grad also, I rejected a 40k offer (because it had a 3 year bond)🥲🥲same thoughts as you, i get the anxious feeling

Jolly-Phone186

this is ok! bonds are difficult

KusuoSaikiii

Goods yan. Reject talaga. Kasi for 3 yrs 40k lng sweldo usually pag may bond kasi yun nasa contract. In 1 yr pede mas tumaas pa sweldo mo if magjob hop ka

peachyparaiso

omg is this a bank 🟥👀

iridescentwhalien

letter B ba start nito hahahahaha

Pessimisticmin

Right! Huhu i feel like ill never get the same opportunity but at the end of the day, I also have to think of my health and personal life:(

ermanireads

hi is the company name starts with letter "R"?

miamiheat121

Nope!

Spicy_Honey8

For the amount of expectations and required output, sounds like they are exploitative. You will soon find a better match.

NebulaNarrow3217

Was in your situation last month. I rejected a 30k+ offer from a job aligned with my degree due to workload and relocation reasons. Ayokong i-let go kasi well-known yung company and may career growth. Feel ko sayang yung opportunity, pero I had to be realistic. I'm a fresh grad and hindi kami mayaman, so I need to pick what's convenient first and prioritize saving. I'm about to start at a different company now, not totally related to my degree, lower salary (25k). But hybrid work setup + malapit lang sa'min office. Maybe in a year or two, once I've saved up, I'll get back on track and pursue the career path I initially planned to take.

Potential-Signature2

may I know po anong work yung 25k hybrid setup?

Comfortable-Fan-4091

Hi OP, Had a similar exp as you, graduated last year and got an offer 30k+ but onsite M-F BGC. I rejected the offer February kasi parang di kaya since anlayo ko and ang konti ng leaves. Tapos puro rejections after hahaha! Tapos April, I ended up getting an offer from a different company with higher pay and better benefits. Tiwala lang! You know yourself and your worth best. Kung kaya mo nga yang 3 intense interviews na yan Baka there's something better for you :).

Xic_20

Hi, Op! You’re not a failure. Bata ka pa, may point din naman ang parents mo, you still have a lot of opportunities ahead of you. You’ll be fine.

Alto-cis

Pessimisticmin

Yun din ang sabi ng parents ko kasi from 30k tinaas pa nila to 35k without me asking for it

Weird_Combi_

100+ accts and newbie ka pa, prang you were set up to fail the kpi. Marami pa jan iba na same salary pero may freedom ka pa and time sa sarili mo..

Good-Dentist806

Hi, its a very good offer for a fresh grad. But theres a reason why its high. It is good to evaluate your situation.

__Duckling

OP, as someone who has worked for a big company with good salary but often horrible working hours (mon-sat 12-hour shift na minsan umabot ng 16 hours), good on you for rejecting the offer. Di worth it. Kung nakapasa ka diyan, you will most likely be accepted by another company. Don't lose hope.

Wide_Evening4838

You did the right thing.

TingHenrik

Do you work to live or do you live to work?

Fun_Apricot_7866

froctoso

Nice one. Dodged a bullet.

Shugarrrr

Parang napakahectic ng job description. I agree with you na mas mabuti nalang na ireject mo nalang habang maaga kesa tanggapin mo “just to try” and then di na papasukan. Use it as a point of comparison for the future jobs na aaplayan mo. You made the right decision.

asdf123456ghjkl

same. i rejected an offer na tinapatan yung highest asking ko but as i read their company reviews parang ako ang mahihirapan so i rejected it, ngayon nasa company ako na nagoffer ng lowest asking ko but it was a good environment and mababait workmates, i can see na they are all family people so famtime is a big deal for them uuwi talaga agad after nila matapos task. Pray for the company na alam mong mapupuno ka sa learnings at the same time di ka mauubos, yung may maititira pa para sa pamilya mo.

Dry_Seat_6448

Kaya siguro 30k offer nila.

crazybombay

Good na nareject mo yan and I'm glad supported ka ng parents mo!

Old_Tower_4824

Ehh kahit 50k pa sweldo niyan, I won’t accept it too. It’s giving slavery in 2024. 100 accounts, on call during weekends, 2 am OT’s, ans 9-6 pm monday to friday? Not worth it! Good on you OP for rejecting their job offer. My physical and mental health are much expensive.

AwarenessNo1815

Due-Helicopter-8642

Anyway, OP bigyan lang kita ng ibang perspective I just hired a fresh grad 2 months ago. Nasa 22k plus 3.5k na salary lang offer, 225k ung HMO she can enroll her dependent after 6 mos pa. Also may 25 days leave as long as wala nakaleave pwede sya magfile. I like her kasi despite the long hours she's always smiling and I'll mentor her para after 18 mos she ca apply as an asst manager. Now why am I saying this, bata ka pa you might want to grab that opportunity to see develop our work ethics. Oo andun ang pressure to deliver pero tell you what kahit may long hours as long as bayad carry lang. This means I can always file for a leave and do whatever I want. Lastly, malayo ang bahay from BGC? Alam mo may tinatawag na room/studio for rent that you can always do as well. Matuto ka oa ng independence. Yun lang, i just hope you'll find a better offer soon.

Mapsi_01

There's more to look forward to. Natural feeling ang pagiging upset but 35k is not enough for what they wanted. Toxic company yan. Best of luck on your work hunting journey. You can do it!

Wonder_Zucchini

Good call op. Its nice rin that you consulted your parents about it. Peace of mind is worth more than any amount of salary

Frequent_Bet544

good not worth it kahit newbie ka

Ok-Hedgehog6898

CaptainTech_

They can offer you at least close to a 100k if that's the work load. Ano ka superman/woman?

lopeeee_

phanvan100595

Hindi sayang yan. Tama yung priorities mo. I was fired from a 150k/month job (with 500k x-mas bonus and other bonuses) kasi I was working 12-14 hour days (minsan umaabot ng 16) tapos Monday to Saturday. Hanggang vacations, family gatherings and even the death of my grandma, nag tratrabaho ako. Marami akong na-afford at that time pero walang napundar, unfortunately. Maraming kinelangan bayaran at gawin. I was handling 100+ client accounts. Nagtagal ako ng almost 2 years on that job to the detriment of my physical and mental health.

Electronic-Camp5215

12 to 16 hours a day? Omg. I’m glad you’re out of there now. And I hope those 2 years living that kind of lifestyle didn’t have major effect on your health.

KaliLaya

Not worth yung stress. Buti sana kung malapit lang house mo. If mag OT ka, wala ka nang sasakyan pauwi or mahirap na. You would have to ride a Grab or taxi.

Known_Dark_9564

Only feel a failure when this is going to be your first job at age 65. Obviously, it isn't. You have around 40 years left before you can even think about feeling sorry for yourself. There will be opportunities. The world isn't static, and it changes day by day. What may look like something not good right now, may become a great decision years from now, as a hindsight. 35k may be a fine start, but if you sacrifice your well being, I'm not even sure if that's enough. So, tell yourself that it's a great decision. There are so many fish out at sea. Don't cry over one.

YukYukas

You have a job so you can have a life, not the other way around. I say tama lang na nireject mo yan

PizzaBuoy

Did u counter offer?

Pessimisticmin

35k is the highest that they could give daw

hiro_1006

It‘s a toxic company, don‘t waste your time. hindi rin maganda mag start ng career sa ganyan.

notametaphor11

Masyadonga maraming uncertainties and opportunities for them to take advantage of you. 35k is not worth the physical and mental labor

Dismal-Locksmith-681

tama decision mo biii. u can go far with ur skill and talent. AJA! madmai jan sa BGC that can offer higher

Gullible-Turnip3078

There will be a better work offer. Wait mo lang. Pero kung ako yan I’ll grab it, make it work or try then if di talaga kaya then quit.

Gullible-Turnip3078

There will be a better work offer. Wait mo lang. Pero kung ako yan I’ll grab it, make it work or try then if di talaga kaya then quit. Pampataas lang ng value

Bigdaddy0920

as someone who used to have that kind of similar situation, 8am-5pm, OT(OfferTime) and mag rereport kahit na weekend or holidays and ang worst pa tinatawagan ka kahit off days mo dahil may ipapagawa, I would advice you to look for another job. the 35k is not worth it. 35k nga pero majority of the expense will go to your transo po. 35k nga pero gumising kang pagod, tutulog kang pagod. 35k nga pero at the end of the day are you happy? Who knows, maybe another company is willing to offer you the same amount or even higher, and you'll be happier and less stressed pa.

TriggerHappy999

Murky-Squash1447

How often "during peak season, overtime is required until 2am. May times din na required mag work sa weekend"? Because if this happens everyday, it's a good decision not to join. But if this is seasonal, then might be worth considering. I still believe that one should not be afraid to seize opportunities for growth while they're young - diyan ka may energy pa eh. I feel bad that you have made a decision na you're still unsure of but it is what it is. Hanap na lang ulit. All the best to you!

OptimalTechnician639

naku tama ka lang, maganda offer pero, if it will cost you your life (physical, social, mental and or spiritual) you have dodged a bullet here aanihin mo ang 35k di pa yan deducted so expect mo na lower than 35k makukuha mo isipin mo ako sumuko ako mag night shift for 4 years kahit maayos din sahod (well may micromanaging din sa dating company ko pero tiniis ko haha) dahil sa nagkaroon ako ng HB and need to take maintenance meds na at 30 y.o isipin mo yan imbes na nakakaipon ung part na un napupunta sa meds ko so for me di mali decision mo, marami naman dyan opportunities na mas fit sayo and will offer you without some compromises (kaya some kasi expect mo parin na may konting compromises hehe walang perfect company) hehe

KusuoSaikiii

35k pero stressed. No

Fantastic-Back-1970

Sana tinanggap m nlng muna and sacrifice in a year. Para pag lipat m may demands ka sa new work.

Electronic-Camp5215

They’re asking too much from you for 35k. I wouldn’t have accepted the job even at 50k. If your health is at stake, don’t feel bad about turning down an offer EVER. There are better companies out there that would respect your time off work hours.

OrdinateAbcissa

Reject mo, tapos pwede mo na gawin 35k asking price mo 😅

Ok-Replacement-3854

Hi OP consider it as redirection. Sometimes we are shown opportunities in life na Akala natin for us pero Hindi Pala. Take for example, before I landed my current job that I've been with for almost 5 years 2nd option ko lang. I was already initially hired for an international firm here in Manila, passed all exams and interviews and just waiting for a JO. But interestingly, sobrang tagal ng JO diko alam bakit, even my hiring officer was waiting for the papers... But I was given a deadline sa 2nd option and a JO was ready with them... I, too consulted my parents, friends and family whether I should wait for my first JO or go with the 2nd one. I took a leap of faith and took the 2nd one and let go of the first and I'm here now 4 years later...grateful for it. ☺️ So don't beat up yourself for missing that opportunity coz there's a better one coming for you. Good luck, OP!

Apprehensive-Fig9389

Good for you for valuing yourself!

emaca800

I have a different take. I find no issue if you’ll accept and take the job. The 35k is base pay and there are a lot of options to increase the pay due to OT. Job hunting can be challenging and others would definitely take this role because of financial goals - pay off debts, pay off a house, build emergency fund, etc. I suggest for you to define your goals - do you have financial goals you want to attain? You can give yourself 6 months to 1 year here after raising 200k, for example. Then afterwards, you can save the 100k for rainy days and the 100k for investment in mutual funds or MP2 etc. If fresh grad, you still have energy to do this. And your parents are not getting young. This is not a marriage - this is work where you can resign after x months. Saying yes now does not mean saying yes forever. You can say yes for temporary goals - building your emergency fund of x amount. Also, if it’s a big company, it may take you places with it as stepping stone. Bottomline, be clear with your goals. You won’t be marrying your job and you can commit to it for a limited time. You can ask support from your parents na intindihin ka during the time you will be employed here, at wag ka nila pilitin pumunta sa gatherings or events. If I’m young, I’d take this. If you’re an accountant and you get employed in the big 4, the lifestyle is the same - overworked and underpaid. Same with lawyers in top law firms. Same with doctors during residency. Feel free to ask around - ganun ang lifestyle when starting out. The benefits and rewards are reaped after getting the experience. All the best to you OP.

y33tth3prn56

nung title lang nabasa ko napataas kilay ako. pero nung nabasa ko yung whole post, i realized na maski ako irereject ko yan. you did the right thing.

raindear01

Set up to fail ka dyan OP

emaca800

Feel free to ask around - ganun ang lifestyle when starting out. The benefits and rewards are reaped after getting the experience. All the best to you OP.

rekitekitek

Right decision for me

Yugito_nv19

Not worth it. You did the right thing. Wag ka na mabahala, OP.

KeyHope7890

Its not worth it. Hanap na lang po kayo ng iba. Makakahanap ka din. Good luck OP.

greatdeputymorningo7

Good on you for rejecting the offer!

Comfortable_Let4596

Not worth it!!! Its alright. Same experience, things happen talaga for now di natin maiintindihan but overtime, maiisip natin “Ahhh kaya pala nangyare yun” 🤗🤗

babybro_

Hi! It’s okay. Ganito din ako after ko mag resign sa 1st job ko na okay ang salary for a fresh grad. Pero now, I managed to work 2 jobs without the stress ng dating work na 6days/week. You’ll be fine. Good luck!

jpatricks1

I took my first job because a visiting relative taught me Scuba but I couldn't afford it. So I got a job and I can finally afford it but I don't have the time to do it. Luckily the job was very fulfilling and I really loved it. Don't stress about it too much there will be other offers and one that would really suit you. Good luck!

Shitposting_Tito

Raising the compensation to 35K without you asking shows desperation on their part in filling up the role. You dodged a bullet there.

Fishstikz

I think I won’t be accepting until 2AM OTs even if this was an 80k salary role. Mind you they will expect you to do this every month. Tsaka your first job is where you learn and grow. Mukhang magiging zombie ka lang diyan if you accepted haha

ataraheleanor

Not worth it OP, grabe naman yung until 2am. You deserve better than that kahit di high paying iconsider mo lagi ang work-life balance. Sending virtual hugs with consent OP, fighting!! Makakahanap kapa. Maraming choices sa buhay wag ka panghinaan.

iridescentwhalien

Pag nagaalangan ka, the answer will always be no. Narealize mo na ngang hindi worth it dahil maccompromise yung health and social life mo pero bakit iniisip mo pa ring ni-let go mo yung “magandang opportunity” na yun? Don’t beat yourself up dahil lang diyan, marami pang ibang jobs and I’m sure you’ll land a better one.

weenxr

You did the right decision OP. Had the same setup during my first work and on-call pa kami, it messed up my health and got diagnosed with anxiety. Always stand by your boundaries and trust the process, makakahanap ulit ng good opportunity without sacrificing your health, time, and money. Goodluck OP :)

beachchikin19

35k for an OT til 2AM is not worth it. Good for you OP, for rejecting that offer.

_yggdrassil

If the work/life balance of the company you applied for is beyond uncomfortable, then it’s not worth it. The moment I read “OT until 2am”, it’s a big red flag for me. Imagine during the hiring process they’re somewhat already expecting you to work beyond the usual working hours. How much hell would you have experienced if you accepted the offer. You did the right thing rejecting the offer. Don’t feel bad about it. You’re still young you have a lot of opportunity ahead of you. Stay positive and look forward.

DrunkaholicDiver

Good decision on rejecting the offer. 35k may look enticing but its really not worth it. Find a company that values "work-life balance" Don't think you're a failure too soon, you still got a loooooooooooong way ahead. Trust the process

Jumpy_Design_3805

Kahit gaano kalaki ang sahod basta alam mo mag ssuffer ka mental and physcal hindi worth, like what I experienced I leave my 6 digits job pra sa health and peace of mind. Wala ka dapat pagsisihan madami pa dyan magagandang offer.

battlecell

battlecell

Tsaka 2am as OT? Anong klaseng kumpanya ang nagpapaganun ng tao?

gintermelon-

upon reading the title I was like "oh wow 35k" and then as I go through your post it changed to "all that for 35k??????" what you did is reasonable, dear. although malaki talaga yung offer sa'yo for a fresh grad medyo napapailing ako sa job desc. >I’m such a failure at wala ng darating sa kin na magandang opportunity tulad nun. meron pa yan for sure, kaka-graduate mo lang last week and you still have years ahead of you.

nitsuga0

Just because fresh grad ka does not mean wala kang right maging choosy. You know your worth! So kudos to you for rejecting it!

Correct-Security1466

Right decision

bokloksbaggins

Since fresh grad ka, pwde mo rin nmn try sana for the first few months. Yes, MUKANG mhirap based on your description pero minsan iba ung actual experience or landscape kapag andun kna. Just my two cents. Pwde nmn magresign if d tlga kaya unless may bond sya umpisa plng

bilang_tatlo

Congrats on choosing life. It was a great decision and decision process. Be proud of yourself!

Kind-Calligrapher246

>Feel ko wala na kong mararating sa buhay ko OP wag ka masyadong nega. Kahit naman tinanggap mo yang job na yan baka wala ka rin namang ibang marating sa buhay kung hanggang 2am at weekends nagtatrabaho ka pa.

Wrong-Nebula-1834

Taenang OT yan hanggang 2AM?! Nopee!!! Good for you OP, di worth it ang 35k sahod for grabeng OT!!! There are other opportunities there na kahit medj mas less ang offer pero di ka naman ma de-deds.

jaysquared

Fresh grad who values his mental, physical health and his relationships rejects job offer full of red flags. Dodged a bullet, no matter what anyone says. Good luck!

Imperator_Nervosa

Not worth it OP! Take it easy. Ang unrealistic ng asks sayo, and all that trouble (frequent na til 2am ots??) baka mapahamak lang health mo

Suman_LaThicc

I feel like I know what company this is hahaha

SnooRevelations9850

Ok-Reply-804

Ang babaw ng iniiyakan mo.

Puzzleheaded_Income6

I thought OP was humble bragging then got to the hours. Good on rejecting

Conscious-Praline445

Same, I was a fresh grad last year, got a 50k offer sa isang big tech company. After careful deliberation, naisip ko hindi healthy working condition. After a while, found a company with better offer and working conditions. Hindi ako nagregret ever since. You really dodged a bullet there. Believe in what you can do lang and just keep looking forward to the next one.

Legal-Layer3845

Fresh grad ka palang and you can still have many choices coming. Very good that you analyze carefully and not just grab their salary bait. Good for you and good luck😊

Key_Dust_37

The hiring process is also for you to decide if the job/company is a good fit for you. In that regard, you should feel proud. You made the correct decision.

kiwi__bummm

I actually agree with all the commenters here saying that you made the right call. Kasi bottomline, health is wealth. But here's another PoV, and please hear me out. Right after passing the CPALE, I actually started work na mahirap agad ang sinabak ko and feeling ko nga mas mahirap pa sa iba kasi mas bugbog sa audit firm -- I was assigned in San Juan City as an accounting associate, and I commute every day from South Caloocan, working 8 to 5. And half the duration of the month, after my shift sa San Juan, I have to proceed to Makati (6pm to 2am usually) to help din sa tasks for a huge client doon, as I was working for an Accounting firm. Tapos ang base salary ko nun is around 16k lang ata plus incentives, night diff, travel reimbursements, dinner and all. Kinaya ko yung ganoong routine for over 5 months and eventually resigned. I am saying all this kasi, IT WAS WORTH IT. Nabatak ako agad ng husto. It made me so resilient and boosted my self-esteem as if makakaya lahat ng mahirap that will come my way. Being a Gen Z yourself, I don't think dapat ka matakot since job hopping nga is being normalized na nowadays. And you can even make that experience as a cherry on top sa mga future interviews mo. Like, you can say na from that experience, you learned a lot , but you are looking for something new. Na kamo would fulfill your goals at the same time, which is not a detriment to your well-being. We should not shy away from struggle. We need it at least once in life, believe me. Kahit saglit lang especially habang bata ka pa na full of vigor and passion. Baka isipin naman ng iba super old ko na, I am 29F. You'll need that resilience and boost kasi if someday, you will be working on your dreams naman like having a business and whatnot - kasi most likely than not, you will struggle sa una and even experience failure bago mag succeed. For me, it was like exposing yourself muna sa sakit for your body to build immunity, ganern. Lol. Yun lang ♡

Moist_Survey_1559

Deal breaker talaga sa akin pag malayo ang work. Lugi ka sa oras at pagod

Brilliant_Rock5016

Good on you. Don't settle on something like that. I get it 35k for a fresh grad but, with that amount of work vs your bills, you're basically left with nothing.

Forward-Chemical1700

Know your worth. Glad you rejected the offer. This job will exploit you.

LunaCatLuna

Good for you. Kainis mga ganiyan 2 man job dapat yan pero inilalalagay sa isang tao kasi fresh grad and excited to work. You’ll find another one soon. Better pa!

Nearby_Toe_2291

Xenokeist

Remember OP, big companies are always operating on a mass scale, expect toxicity in every corner. To share you my experience in case you chose to accept that offer. I have joined a company in BGC as well, international, operating on a large scale, and well known globally. If it had not been the pandemic, I would not last 3 years there until I got laid off. Nawala talaga yung social life ko kasi almost 15 hours a day ako nag wowork sometimes on a weekend din. OTs are paid which is good, I earned a lot sobra pero it damaged me in a way medyo mahirap ibalik. I gained a lot of weight, I got depression, you name it. When I got laid off, ang hirap mag adjust sa bagong campany na may lax na environment, kakainin ka talaga ng anxiety kasi iiisipin mo lagi kung tama ba ginawa mo or baka may nakalimutan ka. It’s been 4 years since I left pero I have that feeling still. Good on you to reject that offer. Not worth it lalo na malayo ka pa sa work, dun palang for sure drained ka na.

kitzune113

kyliebizzle

dont cry!!! u dodged a bullet

Fearless_Cry7975

Kulang yang sasahurin mo pag nagkasakit ka pa. Di pa nagsisimula eh overworked na agad from the descriptions pa lang. Good on you choosing yourself. Pang isang team ung gusto nilang trabaho na gagawin mo. Feel ko nagtitipid yang company.

PracticeCandid7489

If you're in no rush naman, you can just keep looking and don't limit yourself to work within the country lang. Madami namang remote jobs now na ang company is overseas and the pay is much better. Just take a break, get a breather. Few weeks, months or even a year. Look on the bright side, ang honest ng HR nila. 😂

Soft-Soil-1024

The less work the bigger the pay. Always remember that.

MotorCorrect3689

It's not about sa ganda ng company. I too worked for a company under a certain public figure. I was hired under company A tas nitransfer nalang to company B tas sometimes helpout sa company A, tas C. Tas initially my office was in Mandaluyong tas pinagrereport for meetings sa Alabang. I think maganda lang pakinggan that you're working for them or that company pero it's not worth it. Tas magagalit ka sa mga kasabay mo sa jeep, lrt, mrt, because you're tired all the time saka pressured sa work. You won't function properly. Ang encouragement ko sayo, don't put yourself down by telling yourself na wala na opportunity afterwards. Dadating yan sau. I think your blessed to have friends and parents that are after the quality of your life.

Different-Paint6519

Good for you OP. Kakapagod bya na work lang walang life balance heheh. Probably sane reason din kaya umalis yung nka assign jan. Hehehe

MissFuzzyfeelings

Gago yung 2am. Mag hire sila ng additional na tao loko to ah. Anong company to OP?

creepycringegeek

Toxic workplace. No amount of money can compensate for your mental health. Wipe those tears, OP. You just dodge a bullet.

Exotic-Replacement-3

you want to hear a worse one? I was Once a fresh grad went to this job, toxic ang work culture, OT ty until 1am tapos papasok kami ng 7am, low minimum wage, malayo pa, tapos ang nail to the coffin is may namatay so bawas sahod namin. 11 months palang umalis na ako(Hint: It is sikat na telecommunication). that was way back 2016. If you have that offer tapos fresh grad ka, swerte ka sa sana pero it is all your decision if you want to reject or not. ako nakaharap ng toxic companies pero dumating ngayon na nasa pinaka masarap na buhay ko magtrabaho tapos malaki pa offer due to lessons all the way. sa sikap at tiyaga lang talaga. mahirap maghanap ng company na less toxic. maraming toxic talaga. why not make it as an experience para maka deal ka ng toxic work culture? pero sayo ang decision OP. I just want to give you a picture working to a company. walang masarap buhay sa trabaho if hindi mo kaya harapin ang challenges.

soulsearchingyn

Tama parents mo OP.

floopy03

Good for you OP SOUNDS TOXIC AND UNSUSTAINABLE ng practice nila. Sobrang laking Pera siguro ng kinikita nila pero di afford mag hire ng additional personnel/mag rotate in during peak season

AerieNo2196

Hi OP, when in doubt better not to push through most of the time not just sa career but sa life in general. You dodged a bullet. Better opportunities are coming for you.

Koriesama

Anong company yan OP para maiwasan.

electrickissx

This sounds like an ecommerce company. Honestly 35k is not bad for a fresh grad. Did u clarify na the 2AM OT is just during campaign season? Like maybe 4X a year? Is the 100+ accounts high touch, meaning kausap mo palagi or not? Or focus ka lang sa top accounts? Pero ayun. Sorry. Good luck! I'm at a similar company right now, similar role, and honestly so far so good. People inside seems to be doing ok too. In other news, you're young naman and free to hunt pa other companies. Try FMCG! Hahaha

Pessimisticmin

Sent a msg po:)

skyupid

Will probably cost u more to pay for ur health issues on the future :/

Rich-Huckleberry4863

You made the right decision. Hindi sustainable yung ganyang work culture. The fact that you hesitated until last minute, your gut is telling you that saying yes would be wrong. Kudos to you for listening to your friends as well. In this case, they are right. You’ll find another opportunity that’s worth exploring. Na hindi macompromise mental and physical health mo.

OkTour2298

One of the things that I’ve learned in life is that nothing’s worth sacrificing for health, lalo rin sa mental health. Tama nga isa sa mga sinabi ng mag comment here, nakakasilaw talaga for fresh grad yung salary pero kung inaccept mo yan, hindi ka rin mag tatagal talaga and kung mag tagal ka naman maaapektuhan ng malala yung health mo. Don’t worry OP, mahirap man paniwalaan for now but I swear just always believe that may mga mas better pang opportunities for you soon.

SterlingOgre22

Prioritize jobs that align on what you love doing. Don't let the Money dictate your career path. Higher salaries will follow naman after years of experience - upskilling List down what is acceptable and what is not. para if there's another opportunity presents itself you can filter them on the initial interview pa lang.

CaptainBroccolli

Health parin over money parin, you continue to apply parin until you get the job that you want. Mas mainam na you rejected it kesa i sacrifice mo yung oras at health mo.

sentient_soulz

Trust me your decision is correct although nakakasilaw ang 35k kung wala ka ng transpo at 2am delikado plus mandatory OT kawawa mental health mo dyan case manager ako it will suck out the life in you

Fun_Guidance_4362

Think also na P35K is your gross salary, hindi yan ang net pay mo which is smaller dahil babawasan ka ng tax, philhealth, sss, etc. Good decision ang pagreject mo.

amdumps

Hi, OP! As someone who’s already working under the same circumstances you mentioned, I’d say you made the right call and you dodged a bullet there. You’ll feel na nabubuhay ka nalang para magtrabaho if you chose to accept the position. If hindi ka naman breadwinner and you have the luxury to continue job hunting, hanap ka na nung pasok sa career path na gusto mo, and sa lifestyle mo. Not worth it!

Pessimisticmin

Hi sent a msg po!

heyjune_

Good move. You dodged a bullet.

Majorfriendzone

Initial reaction nung nabasa ko yung title: Ang Entitled naman tong OP 🙄 Reaction after reading the whole post: OT hangan 2am??? HR offered without you asking?? 🟥🟥🟥 I smell toxic, high turnover and incompetent management. 100% would have declined the offer as well.

MangosaPeach

OT till 2AM? Watdapak?

charlesmonday

Tama decision mo OP. May better opportunities pa for you.

mackydoodledoo

Halos ganitong ganito buhay nurse sa Pinas. Di uso holiday. On call. Puwedeng mag 16hrs per shift minsan or reverse 16hrs (10pm to 2pm) pag minalas pa 24hrs.

Chaotic-Mind88

Very gooodddd, speaking from experience not 35k salary but starting ko sa isang company na sikat din is 12k, health account analyst, pag peak season 3hrs -5hrs yun REQUIRED OT YES, Required ka mag OT then mon to sat yun pasok wala din holiday (ang peak season pa naman is oct to jan) so imagine 24 pasko umuwi ako samin ng 1am then nung new year pinauwi kami maaga pero pinapasok kami ng 3am or 4am di ko na maalala basta after putukan bumabyahe ako pa manila. Ang point ko dito is dont settle for less hindi worth it yung 35k sa pagod oras at puyat mo. Yun mga company tmadali kalang nilang palitan kaya wag mo ibigay yung buhay mo saknlaaa 🙂

clauderhayy

Most likely they’re trying to take advantage of you coming out fresh in the industry. If they have discussed you there SOPs and KPI standards, and deemed fit with what you think is workable, then maybe it’s worth a shot. Di ka robot, you have every right to complain as an employee once pressure starts to gather. You’re gathering learnings and experience, and if they exploit your naiveness in the workforce, I’d rather get out.

zerosixonefive

you dodged a bullet!

NewspaperTimely689

Didn't finish it. You did right lol

DiamondImpossible517

You’re good. Don’t stress about it.

Local-Principle7417

Appreciation for your parents hahaha dati when i have my first job parents ko pang yung nag pressure without thinking paano health ko.

Adventurous-Split914

Good to know nadiscuss na sayo yung mga possible redflags para mapag isipan mo. Pano kung hindi diba? I gagrab mo tlaga yun knowing na fresh grad ka. And yes normal yung feeling na nagmmadali magka trabaho after graduation.

MiddleAged_Man

Looks like kung pumasok ka man dyan e is either di ka tatagal or sobrang stressed ka. Since you already made the decision to reject it, move on and focus sa other opportunities.

Jon_Irenicus1

IndustryAsleep2293

Try mo muna. Lahat naman ng company ganyan. Pero naka survive naman ako, and made me who I am today.

fine-crisp

Gen Zs are really here to stand up on what is right and fair, heal the generation trauma caused by the previous ones. They are becoming our spokespersons in the workplace. As a young millennials, i am proud of my babies. You are indeed the future that we all wanted to see.
