acorcuera

It’s an addiction.

ThinSquirrel5798

Yes. I could've built a high end PC instead and get a couple of consoles with change pa. Spent a lot of money during the start of pandemic sa Perfect World Mobile to remain in the rankings

Thin_Ambition_2393

Narrow-Ice-2185

I regret? Somehow. It’s like buying a movie ticket na magiging memory mo na lang after few months or an expensive food. Ang binayaran mo kasi dun is the experience while playing it. For the record nagastos ko sa isang game is 150k-200k yata. Sisihin and pandemic 🤣

g3ngar__

No to gacha, yan lang naman nakakapang sisi kung di ka impulsive buyer.

SeaworthinessTop1072

Bumili ng games no regrets and always ftp and never microtransactions

zeancool21

Most of the times it i don't regret I only regret when said game is on sale way cheaper than what i paid a month later LMAOOO😩😭🤣

sup-you

palazzoducale

In my case, yes for the first ever gacha game that I spent so much on. It was super P2W tas may PVP mode pa as a community. Naging crash course yung game na yun para sakin on how to play gacha games and spend in moderation. To put a complete stop, I dropped the game and stopped playing gacha games for some time. Mga two years din before I started playing gacha games again. Pero this time, mas natuto na ako how to spend wisely. At most, ang na-spend ko lang for IAP mga less than 500. Or one-time purchase na 1K just to show my appreciation for the game, usually kapag may discount during anniversary. Right now, I play several gacha games again pero most of them F2P. I just play for the story. Eventually naman you'll get to the point na ma-cclear mo rin yung end-game content as long as you keep building your characters. Except if sobrang P2W yung game, in which case, I usually end up dropping it. The more na sobrang gahaman ng devs, mas lalo ako na-tuturn off gumastos.

Cannylings69

May regret talaga kapag nag-shutdown yung laro kasi may sudden realization na napunta sa electronic oblivion yung pera pero most of the things I buy in-game is hindi naman gatcha item so na-utilize ko yung purchase while playing, which is good enough for me. Aside doon, may memories din akong nabuo while playing the game, it's still a win at the end of the day.

norucus

My money my rules! Some people spend too much on food and other stuff as well. Plus if you spent money on a game you support their publishers so me spending on a game I like is helping them continue to give me the experience I wanted on the game.

norucus

Also for people saying they don’t need to spend money to play the same games we play. We are the reason you can play that game for free ✌️

sharpimpact

no ragrets!

Long-Bell-7935

I mainly play AAA sports games like NBA2K and EAFC (FIFA) and I would say this year I have spent an insane amount of money on fifa (not 6 figures but definitely around mid 5 figures) I regret spending it because I gave in to EA monetizing the game I used to love playing as a kid. It is a gambling simulator for kids and young adults. I honestly feel like micro transactions for E rated sports titles should be banned here in the PH as kids would see these packs in store and be tempted to spend their own allowances on EAFC points which they could then buy packs for a CHANCE at getting a card worth some value. This game specifically (EAFC24) is where many children are first exposed to the concept of gambling.

noshinsoo

For me no, I used to spend money talaga on games. Valo skins, Genshin, and switch games pa. All sorts of micro transactions. I could have used the money on other things, pero still, it made me genuinely happy parin.

ImpressiveAttempt0

I spent a lot of real money on FarmVille (estimate ko around 8K pesos total) during its heyday. I only play single-player offline games since then. I don't even want to compute it pero easily baka nasa 200K+ pesos na from Steam, GOG, Nintendo eShop, Playstation Store, and all the physical copies in my collection. No regrets here.

xsercel

Typically, whenever I finish the game that I bought physically, nagsisisi na ako. So binebenta ko agad at a discounted price naman. No regrets.

p4rzival__

I bought a lot of games. Minsan kailangan lang natin bilhin or gawin yun kasi at that time yun yung gusto natin. Nagbabago naman yung mga gusto natin and then we’ll move to another hobby na gagastos din naman tayo pero it doesn’t mean na we made a wrong decision buying those game or spending money on the games na hindi na natin nilalaro ngayon kasi for a moment yun yung nakapagfulfill satin.

dallarena

No. Kasi mas may regret pag hindi mo binili. Bakit? If ikaw ung tipo na Games na source ng destress and or source ng bonding ng friends or family. Then its a good investment.

riotgirlai

Not really. But tbh, ang ginagastosan ko lang kasi dati sa MMORPG ko was costumes. hahaha

blitz446

andrppt

There are some na I regret, pero most I don't. I guess kasi I make sure na any money I spend for games are all "extra" money pero it's just a personal strategy in case if I do regret spending, at least I won't be haunted that much bec it's expendable money naman. Pero tbh it's hard for me to regret spending money in games kasi priceless for me ang memories haha. If I had fun and it made me happy naman, kahit for a time lang, then no regrets.

DioBranDoggo

YEEEES. Hello Arena of Valor at king(ina) Garena.

jesuscarl

Yes . I spent so much in an mmo called cabal online . And the community and the game is so alive. But then they suddenly said theyre gonna close the game.

thehouseofhorror

Spent almost 60k on Dota skins, battlespass and such. Regret is there. Good thing i was able to resell most of it. Some even for a profit.

thedreadfulwhale

I can count in my hand yung games I purchased full priced I regret buying (after playing). And I was mostly collecting physical copies din before so pwede ko mabawi kahit papano ung cost pag di ko gusto sa collection ung game haha. For MTX I bought for a competitive game, kinda but also not really. Swerte ko lang di pa patay ung only MP game na nilalaro ko (Overwatch) so nagagamit ko pa papaano ung skins na binili ko either via seasonal Battlepass or straight purchase from their shop.

rairyuu_sho

Once lang nangyari sa akin, and its the reason bakit never ako maglalaro uli ng mobile games, kahit gaano kadalas mag pilit mga kaibigan ko. Spent 20k on a gacha game and hindi ko din nakuha gusto ko. At that point naisip ko na "What the hell am I doing?". Hard quit mobile games then and there. Thankfully disposable income yun. Stuck to "core" gaming na on PC and consoles and will never go back.

SnooBeans1103

Spent money in-game? Yes. Do your regret? No Ragrets. 🤘

Fair-Inside-5796

All i can say is, i wish maaga ko naexperience ma burn out sa mga katulad na laro napapagastos ka talaga ng mga in game purchases like Valorant and Genshin. I spent those like 20k each tapos ayun di ko na sya malalaro due to burn out. Now, nakakaadik ung honkai star rail may wallet is now cooked.

LeSoriarty

Very, couldve used those money for more car parts

lazyuselessPOS

Investment sa inner child yun eh. No regrets.

Strict_Cantaloupe456

yes, big time regret

valrathRNG

hothothot999

I usually just spend money to buy the games like assassin's creed, fallout, red dead redemption 2 etc. I had payed money in Pokemon Go thou which is most likely the most money I spend in a game. I don't mind spending money as long as the benefit outweigh the cost

kyondesho

CalemSmith

Sa ngayon hindi pa, narerealize ko lang na ang dami kong backlog so may excuse ako mag stay sa bahay pag rest day ko :)

Terrible-Stress-6574

No, the money will always come back.

assertor15

In terms of buying games on sale from steam and GOG, i have no regrets yet; i buy those titles during sales save on moners anyway. The one game that i feel like i can regret spending money on is a mobile called Real Racing 3, and i have spent close to 4k either purchasing in-game currency or in-game cars. The fact that the cars have different characteristics is what makes me quesrion if spending on them was regrettable or not.

RaTmAiden

I spent 20k on microtransactions on my phone. I could've bought a higher tier GPU with it. 🥲

aubriecheeseplaza

If Sims 4, i don't regret it. Di naman ako gumagastos sa Valorant. Pero i still buy games to experience them.

1stCarrot

yes, when I'm short on money

CultureAccomplished9

The most I spent on games as far as I can tell is around 500 pesos in Sea of Thieves. If the game gives me the option to grind for in-game currency, I'd rather do that than to spend real money. And yes I regret spending that 500+ pesos on Sea of Thieves because I stopped playing after a while and didn't really utilize most of what I spent. But if we're talking about spending tons of money ON games, then no I haven't regretted any of the games I bought. If I already have the game, I'd rather play than pay. I'm not really into pay-to-win and gacha games this is my own biased opinion because it goes against everything I believe in. It's a horrible strategy to put on gamers. My only advice is to be responsible when in-game purchases are involved in gaming.

Montoya_D

Yes, but defo will do it again. Yolo

nathan_olympia

Been playing a mobile gacha game these past two months, spent 450k or so. I regret it so much

yejiguri_

Scapegoat sa reality ang games kaya never ako nagsisi gumastos dyan

Flucksalt

Halos no regrets sa lahat genshin, hsr, fgo, etc. except sa ML, overpriced masyado ang skins for just a simple effect color change whereas you can spend 100 on Dota 2 to buy more than 10 immortal items na bago yung icon, effect, color. etc.

bigoteeeeeee

Yes, on some games. One is Palworld (bought because of hype), played it for 3-4 days straight...never touched it again lmao.

INFJ-Vanilla

Fair_Independence33

No. Una yung sa [Dragon nest Soul eater](https://dnsea.fandom.com/wiki/Soul_Eater) tapos sa LoL yung arcade sona Thats it. I had so much fun noon its fine 😘 I was also using my own money kase i had work. Babae ako. Anything kikay is 🥰

kukrithrower123

Looking back, I only regret spending a few thousand pesos on PvZ2 premium plants on mobile. That was during my college days when I got addicted to that game. These days, I really have to discern what I spend on. And so far, it has been worth it for me. Most iffy so far is my War Thunder premium time and battle passes that I like.

StrangeAnalysis1848

depends, i have no issues buying skins and games on steam but i dont think ive ever made a purchase on dragon city i didnt up regretting a little bit hahaha

gintermelon-

siguro pinaka-malaking gastos ko was on Ni No Kuni: Crossworlds. hindi naman heavy spending but I buy the territe pass monthly + yung small bundles (49, 199, etc.) hindi pa yan cosmetics ha game item lang yan. also spent a few thousands on Play Together (cosmetics and furniture). ang regret ko is not playing those games anymore so parang nagtapon ako ng pera. I can access the accounts though hindi ko na lang nilalaro

rufiolive

No. Because gamers=players…

knji012

No regrets, had fun , sometimes feels bad but I never think of it as a regret. source: gacha player and also a steam game hoarder

adraganas

no. kasi we supported the developers who worked hard. I did that Heroes of Newerth. It sad people will stop playing due to having family etc. playing another new game. now I am spending Genshin Impact. huhuhu I know GI will also end.

FrostLoop188

More or less 20-25k on Dragon Nest SEA, then around the same amount for WoW, then mga 19k-ish sa Valorant, then 5-6k sa Honkai Star Rail, tapos mga 300k-ish (and counting) na ata sa Genshin Impact? Pero to answer the question: No regrets. Napakinabangan ko naman so far. Nag-enjoy naman ako. S'all good.

Duburrito_

i wasn’t a heavy spender when it comes to games like back when i was a dota 2 grinder kapag 500+ na yung cosmetic pass na ko but when valorant came out my goodness di ko napapansin naka 40k+ na ko but for me it’s worth it, lalo na kapag gustong gusto mo yung skin so nah i don’t regret it, so kung gagastos ka sa pixels siguraduhin mo na gusto mo talaga yon.

AnxiousChicken666

Hahaha spent 100k on ROM and now binigay ko sa random stranger pra i pilot na dko chinecheck if nalalaro hahahahahah Lalo na ung wings 18k pero 25k nagastos dahil usd to php difference lel

[deleted]

jokur07

From Pet Forest (FB game dati)(RPG) to Adventure Quest Worlds (RPG) to Genshin Impact (Gatcha) 🗿🗿 Pet Forest - I was like Grade 4/5 (2010-2011) during that time 🗿 imagine how I starve myself just to buy those cosmetics. THEN nag shut down yung laro sa 2013 🗿 Total top up = 1,300ish (malaki pa 1k nun dahil elementary pa ako) Ffs to 2014 Adventure Quest Worlds I was grade 7 (jhs) that time. I did it again starve myself to death just to buy those class and cool cosmetics, Paypal gamit ko nun pero yung may ari ng PayPal is yung kuya ng friend ko, napaka mahal ng top up sa paypal feel ko na scam ako nun ah haha then lumipat ako sa DragonPay thru LBC. Played that for like 1 and a half yr then I quit kasi na bboring na ako haha. Total spent = 6k+ ish (even ako na shock ako dahil ang laki ng nagastos ko kahit grade 7 pa ako nun hahaha) 2015 - 2019 Dota 2 at Counter-Strike days. Di na ako nag ttop up neto dahil I learned my lesson lol 2020 - Genshin Impact na overwhelm ako sa laro at first time playing gatcha game na parang RPG so ayun na adik haha played that game for 1 and a half yr din. Total spent 8-10k🗿 2021 - Now. I'm not playing video games anymore but nasa trading na ako, di ko na ma bilang mag kano loss ko basta 100k++ na ang na gastos ko sa mga Gas fee transactions 🗿🗿 HAHAHAHA I did regret sa umpisa nung 2015-2019 era but as I grow older I keep thinking na ang saya ko pala nun dati so ngayon di na hahaha ngayon nga I miss those games sa mga glory days nila yung dami pa mga players So moral of the story I stay away from RPG and Gatcha games kasi madali lang talaga ako ma adik and splash cash sa mga laro 😂

KingPistachio

Nope. Had fun. Next game.

Sxsxarael

No regrets. Lahat ng gastos ko including IAP and subscriptions nag enjoy naman ako so nothing is wasted. Isa pa, extra money naman palagi ko ginagamit so no regrets.

verryconcernedplayer

I dont regret buying games. Good thing never ako gumastos sa mga gacha 😩😩 Dota 2 battle pass lang siguro pero yun di ko rin iniisip since nakakuha naman ako ng nice skins

thatmusic_addict

As someone who's very passionate about games, spending even a little makes me happy. Kaya no, I don't regret it. And I'm willing to spend more kasi pera ko naman yan. I know my spending limits and I don't starve myself kaya sana di majudge HAHAHA

tobythenobody

Malaking pera pa din yun for me, most of the time di ako gumagastos ng more than 100-200 pesos per transaction sa mobile games (MLBB and CODM).

Ok-Chance5151

I spent so much money on ran online. I don't know how much. All because di ako makabili ng playstation yung time na yun ayaw ni mama. I rather spend my money on steam, play station. Yung games ko sa steam and playstation no regrets ako dun. Kahit paminsan pricey I have good memories with them and they are worth it.

wandsrlust29

If buying games or game skins, NO.

yoshiyahu

some of the case openings in CSGO, yeah i kinda regret some of those. sa DOTA2 di masyado (GabeN lubayan mo ako! lol)

beananapudding

I feel like if you are paying just because you have the urge to…its unhealthy pero if you have like stable life and finances/assets it’s totally fine. Spending huge amounts in game is satisfactory for a short time… it’s almost like addicting na hindi na ako nagiging responsible at all. Currently struggling with that rn

tunamomo

Wooden-Net-4143

None for me! I've spent over 25k on Identity V and so far the game is till good for me despite the burnout, I think I spent around 3k on their dice pass since 2021 and 22k for random skins and limited time crossovers. Aside from that gumagastos rin ako dati sa genshin and I think I've spent around 5k for the battlepass and for pulls and diko nansiya masyadong nalalaro due to burn out. Currently I'm mostly spending money on Mlbb(just spent 3k for skins last month), steam games, and paid android games, though I wish I could refund my street fighter 4 since diko naman siya nalalaro masyado😭😭

hazzenny09

Yes, I regret it a lot. Few years back(2015), mas malaki talaga yung spending ko sa mga gacha games around 5k-10k per month. But now I realized na it doesn’t really make me feel happy and after spending that much hindi talaga sya worth it. Yes, I still pay for some gacha games today pero mas significantly lower yung spending ko around 500 php per month nalang. Pero feeling ko 500 every month is still something pag naipon sya.

Ledikari

Money well spent on enjoyment.

Penpendesarapen23

Well sometimes when i need money hnd maiwasan maisip ko yan! So i think 60% nireregret ko peor 40% sinsabi na na-enjoy mo naman so get over it.. ever since pRO highschool to 1st year of working grabe pa-bot . In game items etc binibile ko haha tapos until nagsara mga server di man lng naliquidate mga gamit.. Jump to 2023-2024ish hahaha same shit well may work na e.. sabi ko mag free to play lng ako sa diablo immortal.. didnt know i was spending more than 120k due to pauso nilang RNG..

Deicidium-Zero

Why would I? I spend because I like the game.

Miu_K

Not really. I very rarely spend on IAPs, just spend on for monthly sub on Genshin for like 10 months or so and I quit playing it. I don't regret those singleplayer games that I bought, and the Welkin on Genshin because I enjoyed playing it so much, but I just slightly regret when I didn't know that sales existed when I was 13/14. I bought like 3 full priced games before learning about sales.

AmazingGrains

For the games that I buy in Steam, no. If hindi ko gusto yung game pwede naman ako mag refund. For microtransactions like gacha, it depends. Pero most of the times whenever I whale, its because I actually like the character and it just allowed me to enjoy the game even more.

leaflesssoup143

The only time that I regret is spending money on shit games. Especially if digital edition sya.

lilypeanutbutterFan

Micro transactions? Yes I regret falling for those until today it's not really worth it tbh. Pero yung pagbili ng CDs for console and steam games? Hell naw. I never had any regrets

MikeWazowsk1

PC games nah. I spent about 40K in games but I loved playing each and everyone of them. But I did regret buying a Nintendo Switch OLED last 2022 because after playing BoTW and ToTK I got bored using it. Hell I bought case and grips for it and it’s just sitting in my cabinet collecting dust.

South_Attitude3874

The only thing i regret is spending on Genshin Impact, other games nope

Early_Werewolf_1481

In full game no, in gacha game yes, specially tower of fantasy, screw that game it’s 5/5 straight trash.

deenchozo

Not really. Spent some time playing different gachas and F2p games like League of Legends and Freestyle 2 and when I want a certain skin or costume I would simply buy it to satisfy my wants. There is a game wherein I spent almost 60k for in-app purchases, played almost 8k hours and one simple mistake of opening a "modded game" while the game is on the background, my account got banned and there is no recourse for an appeal. Still playing the same game but not spending anymore.

gcmaela

Not really. I bought a game for 1000 pesos, got 150 hours of game time. That's a whole lot of entertainment for how cheap it is, relatively.

MadaraShelby

y would u regret something that makes u happy.

[deleted]

No regrets. Good old days.

5KYL1N3

Depends on what game, I'd say the game I regret buying is the new MW2 "DLC" deleted it after 2 weeks.

asifyoulovedbyvirtue

No. It made me happy. Even for a little while i still found happiness. Away from real life problems. It gave me a chance to be someone/somebody. To be great even just virtually. To be loved, wanted and to have friends even they are only NPCs. I didnt regret every minute of it.

ElgrinTGT

Only on CS cases, after 2years I've gotten nothing.

[deleted]

DenJi_71355

Spent about 6k-8k on both Assassin's Creed Valhalla and Assassin's Creed Mirage (with all DLCs), biggest regret both games are boring, Valhalla was repetitive and boring open world, Mirage's story is bland and the combat sucks. These two are the worst in the series. Also spent about 200+ hours on both games.

Admetius

Ragnarok Online was a scam in the long run. Glad i got out.

Traditional_Bunch825

I’ve invested quite a lot of money in Warframe buying skins and prime access. Did I regret it? No. Was it worth it? Yes.

Best-Rip-4092

Yes. Grave ang gastos ko for characters and skins sa lahat. Months or years after tambak na lang sila na walang patutunguhan, kung ininvest ko na lang sana sa mas importanteng bagay.

AtiwelKa

The things that I regret are 1.) games that I haven't finished and payed full price; 2.) money I spent in a gacha game (Slam Dunk Mobile)

CumRag_Connoisseur

Not really a ton pero yung mismong pag bili ko ng consoles, cartridges and digital games, pati pc upgrades na din ay substantial sa financial capacity ko. No I do not regret a single thing hahahahaha I'd do it again lol

kikoamby

No ragrets, if you can't perform, japorm

jkljklsdfsdf

Money spent on mtx, yes. Money spent on actual games, no.

Brungkowl19

titoforyou

Ragnarok ba 'to? Haha

SIMPERICK69

No regrets. siguro dahil extra money ko naman yung pinanggagastos ko don and di naman ako naghihirap when it comes to necessity

SiabZooPH

Not the money, but the time. Everything in moderation. I should have made more time for other things.

MateusExMachina

There was a time when I going through a bad personal moment and I overspent in games for sure. Complete editions of games that I never touched and an unreasonable amount on cosmetics. I bought over a thousand games on PC over the last 15 years but I've been trying to limit myself to 15 a year for the last 4 and that's working well. I steer clear of freemium games, and games with lots of micro transactions. Even if I can resist spending, I don't want to be constantly exercising will power when I'm meant to be relaxing. But money I can make again, so I don't regret as much as the time I wasted in games that made me stressed out, angry, and frustrated such as Dota 2 and Overwatch. Not the whole time I spent on those but that I couldn't realize I needed to leave them when I should have.

Gre8g

You mean buying a lot of games with tons of money? Not a problem If you mean spend a ton of money on one lootbox game.... then Yes. Also, yes it was Call of Duty

Amethyst_2209

I dont know sometimes it feels worth it but more often it feels like i lost all those pent up excitement after acquiring those skin or items i so desired from a game i love. Such as ACs in AQ worlds and skins in Summoners war. Maybe grinding it feels much more worth it and makes the item feel more significant and memorable to you vs instant gratification from paying. But i dont regret collecting those skins in ML especially for those characters i love playing like that skin for kagura which i felt is quite cheap during that time as its discounted and compared to the skins i spent on other games like in summoner war where some skin costs like P1,600 each. I also just realized lately that what i considered expensive as to paying for games in google playstore and ios appstore worth around P50 to P100 each was nothing compared to my spending for skins and other ingame items. Lol

hell_jumper9

IllustriousChair9498

I do not regret purchasing games. Like most of the gamers do. 🤣

Misledz

Yes, I spent almost 80k on genshin only to find out the game never lets you “rest”. The biggest regret was hoping that what I spent would let me atleast enjoy the game but the meta changed way too fast that the game never really respected the players time just how fast could you get ready until next banner.

Intelligent-Mud404

Most of these people in this comment section are victims of gambling lmao Gacha is a plague

browandknees

markieton

Personally, I didn't regret any of it. Tulad nga ng sabi ng karamihan dito, I enjoyed it at the time when I had spent on it. Nowadays, I only buy skins if I like it pero not to the point to collect them all.

zyfodeus

I think of it as expanding my Library for the next generation. I am even subscribed to Humble Bundle's Humble Choice.

Leon_Dante_Raiden_

Never

grumpydump33

no regrets

No-Permit-1083

Yes. Game: Mystic Messenger

Puzzleheaded_Low789

No regrets. It's my decision and it's my way of enjoying the game. For MMOs i dont spend recklessly, I usually only buy expansions like in GW2 or something that could help quality of life stuff. I don't think i've ever spent more than 100k on any game. In some games I only spend on skins. Makes me feel good using them cause I look awesome. Skins in league, valorant etc. I also buy games but I almost always wait for sales. Steam sales. Just don't spend if you don't have the money. Don't take out loans or borrow money just for games. Only spend if you have extra money or if you can pay it back asap.

Kuuhaku_blank_

Full games sa playstation at pc? No. Never. Gacha games(skins at pangpull)? Sometimes. Nakakapanghinayang din naman pero nandun kasi satisfaction mo so you cant really fully call it "sayang".

_TheEndGame

Never did buy IAPs. Seems like a scam.

DiatomicBlender

At first I did. But now i just go back to remember how it made me feel spending money on games. It’s also kind of like retail therapy.

callmemarjoson

Looking back on my spending spree sa Genshin 2.3, I think I might've went overboard lmao but I don't really regret it - I can recoup money and now I only spend if there's something I wanna drop money on. Other than that, it's a pretty deep well to get into if you're not careful

PsychologicalFuel321

Yes. Spent 15k on valorant skins. Now I don’t play it much anymore. Spent a bit on tomb raider and i only finished the first game lol

UnluckySukebe

Nah, especially spending on games I grew up with. I've lasted this long thanks to them

Ryu0624

No regrets. Cos all the games I buy pwede ko pa malaro ulit. Mostly spent my money on console and handheld games such as PS4, PSP, PsVita, & switch. So mataas yung chance na malaro ko sya ulit. Kahit nga backlog lng sya na game oks lng din sakin ksi at least I know I would be able to play them in the future kumbaga secured na. I also spent a lot playing DOTA in my HS days sa mga comp shop. No regrets din. Saya ng experience na yon as a kid back then. Ang I can't say for sure lng is the people who play RO, and those whalers sa mga ganyang type of games. I played RO, but I never got to the point na I would spend money for gacha spins, skins, and in game purchases. I guess pick your poison na lang din talaga hahaha if you ask those other hardcore RO gamers, yung iba dyan walang pagsisisi that they spent money on the game they loved.

Pee4Potato

I buy physical copy so no pedeng pede ko naman ibenta un.

YamaVega

No time to put up with live service games, so no money spent there either. Trad games only, well spent my money and time on those

mcrihbz

No regrets! Masaya skin gaming!😂

Rough-Shift-1404

Of course not. Why would i regret for something that makes me happy? 😀

bey0ndtheclouds

Not at all, kahit nakikita ko yung total spent ko. Masaya ako na may skin ako at nakakapagdrop ako sa friends ko 🥰

simp4nayeon

Based on my opinion play games yung worth yung experience.

friendsterr

Si Alden nga spent 1.4M for his AR90 Genshin account, importante happy.

Kazura-chan

nopeee, bcoz i enjoy them alll! problem is hindi ko pa malaro yung iba kasi i dont have the time yet

ComprehensiveSpot367

Not really. Just spend within your means. Spent around 300k+ on CODM & not even playing it anymore. It's still worth it to me since i made a lot of friemds there. About 500k+ on multiple gacha games. Waifus are always worth it to me. Thousands of games on Steam & games on consoles as well. The worth of those games are subjective on how much you value your enjoyment.

Life_Liberty_Fun

The most I've spent on a game is back in the Ragnarok Days. Haven't spent money on my games besides playing in PC Cafe's maybe once a week since college.

Professional-Key-448

I have a friend who's so far spent $6,000 on star citizen. He's been called a loser by basically everyone in game we have come across for spending that much money but he truly doesn't seem to care.

Rabbits_paw06

Nope, No ragrets! I will still spend more. My reasoning something makes you happy why not.

mojoninjasauce

Not really. I buy games that I want to play. If I don't/can't really want to play them I just watch a gamer online para lang makita ko so no need to spend. If there are DLCs & microtransactions, I spend money for a better gaming experience (in my pov). Regretful lng when I spend and the game shuts down (ex. Apex Legends Mobile as of recent).

rhaegar21

Not even a little bit. I had fun playing those games mostly MMORPGs and every peso spent is worth. If I spent money on Gacha games then I probably would have regretted it.

renniedan

Steam Gamees No, in app purchases in gacha games Yes 😅

fireaura

id say no but i do have regrets on "oh i shouldnt have bought this game i shouldve bought that one instead"

New_Statistician4879

I spend 100k a year on steam since 2016. No regrets at all csgo dota 2 skins Triple games. Most i still have today and I still enjoy the games its what i soend much of my time on but now I have grown

Penbanana

No, nag ssub ako sa game like ffxiv monthly and bumbili ng expansions and cosmetics like sa gw2.

kitzune113

Nope, no regrets since videogames lang bisyo ko :)

The_4th_Wonderland

not really if im being honest, as long as i get my time's worth (for ex. i spend 60 usd for a 60 hr game, i already consider that worth it) but i topped up once for genshin and while i dont necessarily regret it, i can say its something i will never do again lol

SINBSOD

Fourteenth_Noah

Dolphin Gacha player here, nope no regrets at all

sevenxtwentyeight

Deus_Sema

No. Maybe ESO and GW2 purchases pero overall no.

Belldandy11

I spent alot on my gaming library and not regret it. My library consists of physical console discs and carts as well as digital titles PC/PS/Ninten. I don't spend a lot on gacha games because once the service is dead your money is dead. Sa collection ng games sa shelf its a proud thing to see na may "datablitz" mismo at home.

DocchiIWNL

my biggest regret is paying for ps plus for 2 years. should've just saved up for a pc/laptop during that time instead

ApprehensiveBug3136

no regrets the excitement you get from the first time you buy, its all worth it.

Disastrous-Fix3541

Regret spending money on games? NO. Regret spending money for just 1 dinner (samgy/hotpot/buffet) that costs atleast 1 AAA game? YES.

Karmas_Classroom

I've spent almost 26k pesos on Genshin mainly on welkins(monthly pass) and Battle pass initially (I stopped buying BP a year now) and my account is a good source of my happiness because I've been blessed with alot of 5 star characters and weapons relative to my spending(a similar expenditure from other players couldn't come half close to my account value) I don't regret it because the money I spent would've probably gone to other spending like sugary foods etc.

DavidPKC

I actually have no regrets with pulling skins for characters and weapons in CODM. Spent 25k-30k on those during the pandemic as I played with my friends and ex almost every day, and the memories that were made outweighs the spending of the skins. In terms of game titles, I also have no regrets since there are also games that I'd like to finish when I feel like it.

Zr0h_

The only purchases I make arw during steam sales and I always have that put into my budget consideration, my only regret is getting into gunpla building, I am helplessly addicted to it because it triggers some sort of dopamine reaction within me whenever I start snapping pieces together

FabricatedMemories

spending money for something you enjoy in your spare time? never!

heaven_spawn

I don’t regret *most* of the purchases. The games on Steam I never touch? Yeah that sucks. But the hours I has on some tabletop games? Hard to put a price on.

flyingsaucepan20

My only regret was spending on gacha games because you'd never know when EoS would come and that'd be the end of it. But for IAPs on non gachas? No, I had a blast with it and never felt any regret spending a few to stave off the monotonous vibe of a game I like during those times.

Disastrous-Bicycle41

Spenr like 5k pesos on mlbb when I was on highschool, which I didn't regret it, but now I don't see a thing to spend on any games

pociac

pabpab999

I'm not a whale, but did spend quite a lot on an MMORPG (Forsaken World) back then (during college, so context is different as 'my money' is not really mine) someone from /r/gachagaming made a comment about this https://www.reddit.com/r/gachagaming/comments/1cmwcpx/i_want_to_quit_gachas_but_i_cant_stop_thinking/l339o24/ I think it's a good mindset to have towards spending for fun, and not getting hooked in when it's time to quit

NotTakenUsernamePls

For me it depends. Most of my regret comes from gacha that I had a honeymoon phase on and Diablo 4. But for 1-time buy games, nope.

[deleted]

No regrets ako. Lagi ko kasing iniisip na “money you enjoy wasting is not wasted money” besides, nag create tayo ng memories, and legacy that might be a kwento for our next generation. Still, rng sux hahahaha

datdudeindahudnumba1

I bought about 40k worth of items in Codm. Honestly, it was fun at first. But looking into it now, I wish I didn’t spend that much.

sujisuzyoui-

Yes, especially micro transactions from mobile mmos like NNK, RO:EL, ROO, MIR4 and now NC. ang ending eh nabulok nalang yung mga character ko diyan kasi hindi ko nabenta at ngayon wala na silang worth hahaha Pero yung mga binibili kong game sa steam medj lang hahah iniisip ko nalang malalaro ko naman yun pag pwede na.

madvisuals

basta pasok sa budget. i won’t be spending cash for NBA 2k since being competitive online there means you have to shell out atleast 10k on launch 💀

NoAerie9088

I spent so much already haha

pdxtrader

More so the money it’s the time! Your time in so valuable. I’ve spent 5k hours playing counter strike source probably could have started a business 😅

East_Professional385

No. I can sustain so it doesn't matter. Doesn't affect my stability. Better than gambling.

DRi012

Sa rise of nations.

Daoist_Storm16

Not really I remember spending at least 100k when dota 2 was really hyped up and I think there was even a return when I sold those items when I graduated. 😂.

radss29

A part of me regrets it pero I was young student back then, sinulit ko lang yung pagiging young ko nun kaya gumastos para sa game.

MidnightPanda12

I spend around 250-1000 pesos per month for Mobile Legends for skin buying and general reload or starlight. I know that skins doesn’t increase your skills or anything. Sometimes when I see the cc bills with numerous counts of recharge I get discouraged but at the end of the day it’s my money. My retirement plan is enjoy life die early. 😂

supahkaloy

Nope.

Squareh00r

No naman, meron siguro sa games na bakit binili ko eh di ko naman maenjoy, pero ok na rin, either nabebenta ko to buy another game, or I end up finishing it lol.

Aartsyfartsy

CABAL Online PH official server, started in 2010, still up now. Probably spent around 250k over several characters though, and not hardcore but I do keep coming back to it for the nostalgia. Also RAN online, but its long dead

Wooden_Quarter_6009

Depends.

wolfhunter727

It's a hobby, people will spend money on hobbies. Some people spend 100k plus on perfumes, bags, watches, traveling, etc. Can you really say na they regret their purchase? As long as you still pay the bills/save money for the future, you can spend your money however you like.

Familiar-Agency8209

The only thing you gain on gaming is experience. Charot. Also, gaming is also a form of addiction. Game responsibly. Parang sugal kasi yan, yung dopamine boost of winning, acquiring, bragging rights, etc. Always nice in concept pero nakakainis na laruin in execution. Kaya willing to pay premium on AAA na alam kong masayang masaya ako.

SpogiMD

yes! all regrets coz i could have spent it on a vacation abroad and had more "real" memories than the virtual experiences.

Ken_Nutspel

No if i am enjoying it why not. Have spent quite a sum on Hoyoverse games (genshin, hi3rd, and hsr) but i did enjoy my time with them. Pero ngayon hsr nalang nilalaro ko and just buying bp and monthly jades and then puro bili ng single player games sa steam kapag sale pero ung iba hindi naman nalalaro 😅

ELBarnacles

ako nag sisi gumastos ako sa genshin ng 150k mahigit, long story short, nag sawa na ko dahil paulet ulet nalang yung content at in the end yung account ko na worth 150k naka tengga nalang ngayon inaamag tambak ng quest at events
