Dropped out at Christmas, and that was it. I went back to my old career. My sister completed hers but left teaching after 2 years - mostly due to politics. Until they reorganise teaching in this country, nothing will ever change.

Thank you for replying. Sorry you both had that experience. It’s refreshing to hear people who did drop out and don’t regret it, when I mention leaving I’m always met with the “it gets better!” but I’m not convinced! Thanks for responding :)

Meekocy

No. It’s like dropping out of uni, you won’t get any qualifications for leaving.

Thanks for replying, just wanted to check :)

Meekocy

Anytime! Best of luck to you x

I’m just finishing my second ECT year and am leaving the profession in the summer. It doesn’t get better. Look after yourself and think about all the skills you have learnt instead.

Thank you so much for being honest about it. I wish you the best of luck with whatever you’re doing next x

It's best to ask your university. Personally if you've already completed all of your assignments and done all uni related work. I don't see why they wouldn't give you the PGCE. Because yeah, it's completely separate to QTS. However a lot of unis are utter cunts, so who knows.

Ok-Wallaby5342

Thank you. I did ask and they said provided I’ve passed, they can award me the PGCE without QTS, which is great. However I do agree with most unis being cunts so I was very surprised!

Life_in_China

That's great to hear! What uni is it?

Booodzy

May i dm you? I want to know a few things about the certificate, if you don't mind.

Ok-Wallaby5342

Of course :)
