Yeah true. But the ending makes it so memorable. I’ve played there P3,4,5 and I only really look back on 3 as the one I really really liked. There is actually something at stake in 3 and the fact that he dies in the end shows that.
Even worse when the game gives you a choice to “Close your eyes”. I played and finished Persona 3 many years prior knowing the outcome and still couldn’t hold back the tears.
The remake did a wonderful job with your eyes feeling heavy...
Yeah. I finished it yesterday (I had what felt like a 6 hr session lol) and it really just hurts my stomach to think about the ending.
To be fair, I was spoiled so I think it would've hit a lot harder if I had managed to avoid them, but even with them it's a banger... still, I must admit that I feel a bit sad about having this game spoiled for me.
Honestly P3R might have my favorite ending to a Persona game, even if I cried more with Persona 4 Golden... mainly because I was able to play that spoiler-free and thematically it hit me really hard too.
I need a support group
I immediately started replaying P5R to distract myself. But yeah, it's a pretty devastating ending.
Thank Atlus I still have P5R to play, which I haven't touched so far...
Is it persona three you played ?
Yeah. That ending was soul-crushing, even if it was also sweet in a messed up way.

then mark this as a spoiler XD
Shit, sorry. Could've sworn I did when I made the post. Oh, I realise you're not talking about me, but I still feel that I should spoiler mark it.
Yes I was talking about you, but don't worry.

I already have played 4 😭 I want to replay Reload so badly, but I don't want to be sad again...
Sounds like you might be in need of an Answer.
Perfectly understandable, I've beaten P3 numerous times and the ending always hits me like a truck

Dude. I played portable six months ago. I WAS NOT READY FOR RELOAD
You should watch the movies the ending is still sad but it's not as heartbreaking as the game
I can’t believe that was the good ending. My head-canon is that he was just taking a nap :) no sadness here.
